Just for fun, go out to Workday and checkout the Corporate Strategy org chart. Seriously, Directors and Managers with ZERO direct reports. What is happening? We’re being told 1-16 is the new normal, but apparently this area is special. What are they even doing?

@b4 their pay grade is a joke for the work and knowledge they possess. Their level of incompetence is rivaled only by their sense of self importance
@OP They are given (or are retaining) titles that justify their pay grade and their level of responsibility. That is what we have been told in the past.
They are all riding the gravy train as much as they can. They know that we are operating in a racket, so they may as well create useless committees and massive payouts while they can.
It’s actually funny- all the RIFs in 2020 were focused on those directors and Dr managers and above who had zero direct reports - yet here we are again.
We never learn.
