Collaboration

Forced collaboration in person has actually turned me against it altogether. We get that some of you decision-makers may hate being at home or your spouse and family all together so you insist on collaborating in the office. But please remember the... — read more

HR complaint process

Any HR folks or folks that have been through this able to provide guidance on how this process works/timelines/when your manager is notified (assuming it’s a complaint against the manager)?

My Bonus section is blank

It's my 1st full calendar year with bank. I wasn't eligble last year due to start date. My manager explained last year I would be. When I logged into my pay section. I didn't see anything regarding a bonus. THE ENTIRE SECTION WAS BLANK. Does this... — read more

401k settlements are out

Well, I expected a lot more than what I got today. Once again, Wells Fargo has let me down. I been with WF for almost 7 years and got 155.00.

Pulse VPN - multiple drops throughout the day

Anyone else experience this? I can't be the only one, and it's pretty much everyday. Why? Why does Wells struggle so badly with something so simple? It's nothing new either. This started a couple years ago and never improved. There's no regularity... — read more

Who cares if RTO is tracked?

The RTO rate in my building is less than 10%. The times I came in I never saw more than 3 people on the entire floor. The parking garage is empty too. Only the new people come in and once they catch on, they start to WFH too. If only a minority were... — read more

Serious Question! Wells Scandals

It was in the news last week that 3 of the 8 (who are not great) former WF executives that were fined by OCC in 2020 got reprimanded by an OCC administrative judge who recommend that they pay their fines (like the others already did). For some... — read more

Let's pretend we couldn't see it coming...again...

In May 2020 I posted an article in the Higher Education Inquirer on the last economic downturn. It was the 27th downturn in US history. Remarkably, few could see that downturn coming, a result of the covid pandemic. More than a million people died... — read more

PTO Usage

Super first world problem here - I still have a job, so I’m happy about that BUT… I work in mortgage. We recently found out in 2023 only 10% is allowed out on PTO per day. That is 1 person per team. If another person requests, they will look at my 2... — read more

Car Loan Insanity

We just had an 810 credit score get quoted 8% from Wells Fargo and 10% from Ally for a CAR LOAN. Have never seen that before, 33 years of car sales experience here. Horrible times.

How long into 2023 will you RTO before going back?

We've been told that 2023 will be the year that RTO is officially tracked and enforced. It's easy to say that you'll never RTO, and maybe many of you won't. But some will feel compelled to go in starting January. So here's the question. Will you... — read more

Finally seeing hiring pick up the pace

We finally had a position backfilled after waiting and praying and begging for nearly half a year to fill at least one of the three vacated positions. Is this a good sign? Does it mean that we're safe from layoffs for a while? At least until the end... — read more

Entitled Generation

I’ve noticed about half the posts on this board are people griping about not being able to work from home. Why are you all so lazy? You guys would’ve struggled to eat in the Rockefeller/Carnegie days. Stop crying and start working. Ok, now if you... — read more

Options after bad bonus

Funny how simple solutions are ignored- RTO

Now that I am old I find it funny that the world revolves around people who make up work pretending to solve complex problems with even more complicated solutions. RTO is one of those. All I read is stuff about diversity, supporting our employees and... — read more

How important is LinkedIn in job search?

Is it enough to have your info regularly updated or do recruiters also look for regular blog-type posts to show that you're active? I haven't had the need to look for a new job in well over a decade and I'm willing to admit that I'm rusty when it... — read more

Is anyone else’s team like a revolving door of people?

My team can’t seem to retain or hire qualified people. We have a few long haulers but most are gone in 1-2 years. Couple that with constant re-orgs, organizational changes and technology changes, our team is a disaster….

Metaverse will eliminate RTO

Going physically to office is going to completely get eliminated once Metaverse is adapted. My prediction, by 2026, 95 percent of Commercial Realestate will be useless and converted to residential condos.
