Calls from Empower for 401k?
Has anyone else received calls from Empower to discuss your 401k? I've received a few messages. Sounds like they may want to push people into choosing them as the investment advisors so they can get the commissions, fees, etc?

Year end performance assessments due in September
Is it common to have year end performance assessments due in September?
I'm tired of working several jobs and only getting paid for one
I don't think it's worth it anymore. I don't mind working long hours and I don't mind working weekends if I have something to show for it at the end of the day. I don't, though. I was patient, thinking things would settle down but they didn't. Now... — read more

Possible to get hired in at salary higher than midpoint?
Job I’m seeing posted has a pay grade of 109k - 179k. Are they still only giving 80% - 85%of midpoint? Cause if there’s no target bonus then salary being offered is a joke…
Below midpoint
Wells Fargo just handed out mid year money for those well below midpoint. 5% to 10% depending on role. Performance not contemplated. Did you get it? Not everyone got it.
Accommodations WFH short term?

Retirement Eligible. Layoff Implications?
I've been told (by HR via email) that I'm now "Retirement Eligible" due to my age plus years of service adding up to some threshold. What if I get fired before I retire? My last couple of performance reviews have been "needs improvement" (by a... — read more

Layoffs set for Oct/Nov have been moved up to this month.
I'm in Tech. The Layoffs planned for Oct/Nov have been moved up to this month. So its either the 22nd or 29th for a large displacement. They are trying to tie up the 2023 budget and lock it down by end of this month. We'll see.

Why did they think overloading Wells Fargo risk with other people’s trash was going to work?
Wells Fargo became a haven for hiring trash leadership from other banks on the cusp of retirement. No skin in the game. No care in the world of the bank fails. Just get that check and get out. That’s where we are. It’s a huge mess. Biggest... — read more

Anyone else on this call? Big Brother is watching.
I have nothing good to say about Wells Fargo anymore; it's gone down the tubes.
Wells Fargo is not the company that hired me. They no longer have vision and values and the only ones who matter are upper management. Charlie has ruined the company! The stock falls and the working conditions suck and no one seems to care. I'm... — read more

Layoffs but hiring contractors
They are going through massive layoffs but they continue to hire contractors. I was approached by a headhunter this week for a two-year contract in IT but they are currently laying off workers in IT who could do this job. Nuts!
