Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

The sad part is that there's no 'over' after today

In the past, layoffs were final. They took a day or two to let everybody know and after that we could refocus on our work. Now, even after this round is done, we know more will be coming. In a month, two, or six, but we all know it's coming. There's no reprieve anymore. Just constant stressing.

They’ll do another round before open enrollment.

@OP sad day for all of the dedicated employees that spent years and blood, sweat and literal tears working for this company. EVERYONE who makes it through this round of layoffs, it's just a matter of time. As soon as they can get AI to do your job -- you will be gone too! I just wonder when they are going to realize that AI is not perfect and is going to make major mistakes. SMH!

Targeted layoffs and restructuring are constantly occurring throughout the year. Larger RIFs seem to occur every 1-2 years based on my time with the company. This isn't confined to Centene, or even the health care industry.

Absolutely no end in sight. Will be going on well into 2027.
