Not a relaxing weekend

I was certain that once most of the things were wrapped up, I'd be able to enjoy my weekends again. Yet here I am, still unable to let go and relax. I guess we've been under pressure for so long that some of us have forgotten what it's like not to have to worry, at least for a few months.

@ed Giving yourself at least a month to decompress is a great idea. I took a LOA this year and it took me exactly 4 weeks before my nervous system finally moved out of high-stress fight or flight state from toxic overwork.

it’ll take a while for the body to come down from of a state of constant heightened stress. I plan on giving myself at least a month to do nothing. not planning next steps, not being productive, just resting.

it’s been years of lost sleep, vacations that aren’t really a vacation and constantly being “on”. be easy on yourself.
