Thread regarding Insight Enterprises Inc. layoffs

So what's next?

More never ending layoffs....?
More off-shoring, Philippine employees are paid like $3,200 a YEAR if that... Yes.
More strategy shifts...? One Insight? What's next? Two Insights? Three Insights? Four??
Sales comp changes <--- For sure like once a quarter
More Cisco Sales Rep Hires <== You bet ya - Buffy Duffy needs more buddies to watch his back, even announced in earnings after call - so much investment in front line sales
Whacking in the acquisitions <-- have yet to deliver the goods
A few disappearing acts from people around you unannounced - vanished!

What say you?
Thoughts?

@bm It's already imploded. This is the last straw tactic to try and make the books look all rosy and awesome. The only thing for sure is that this will continue until they can cut enough people to get to a P&L that the Street likes. Just keep changing your LinkedIn tag line like every week trying to get noticed to an external recruiter (LOLOLOL) HAHAHAHAHAHA. What a joke. Comedians can not even come up with material anywhere near as funny as this sh-t show. More entertaining that watching "As the World Turns", soap operas can hold nothing against these clowns in terms of nail biting made for TV drama.

This place is drying up faster than the Salt River! True.

Personally since most of the C-suiters are over 50, they should all take the package and retire themselves for their incompetence.

Typical corporate BS, the leaders FAIL and the average person takes the fall.

I have no clue how these people can live with themselves and their OWN mistakes.

@fj MSFT has just made an investment larger than Insight to do AI direct, without channel support, so no surprise there. Chop chop chop to make the numbers look good. So does not matter what the license consumption is for E7 when you just go direct and bypass the channel. Ground zero, yes, for a biz line pipe dream). Print all the smoke and mirror press releases you want (even the rushed and hurried ones) to make it look like you are a player when you just got played. HAHAHHHAHHAHA

Our sales leader in a complimentary sales role indicated on Friday that they were going to be holding a ton of RIF packages to "non-sales related" roles last week. My contacts in other LOB's in the sales management chain agreed with this. New lines of business supporting already growing businesses are being chopped as well, removing people who have been in role less than six months and putting them on performance plans. These areas are thinly staffed; smart business development people in services focused businesses trying to grow Microsoft services are under-guided and not given good tools or visibility into the rest of the business, and many are leaving proactively and others are being put on performance plans. This market segment will be barren in that area in less than six months, mark my words.

@bm I am sure that they would love to hear from you considering all they want it is to fire people because pipeline is at a crawl, lots of folks on the bench sharpening their resume refining skills and HR is sitting around twiddling their thumbs while waiting on the flood of early retirement acknowledgements to come in. Bet they even built a dashboard just to track their hit rate, just like Jack has one to track his stock price targets.

I’m half tempted to email HR and see if they need anymore volunteers. This place is imploding.
