I’m an outpatient mental health therapist at a very small location and have been here since January. We have had barely any new clients and have a huge office. Even though we have no new clients they are hiring 2-3 new therapists as well as a psych doctor…currently there are only two of us as all other therapists quit…neither has full case loads or are hitting RVU’s. I don’t understand how they can afford to keep the office open and have hired all these new people to start full time around the holidays when there are no clients to see. Marketing was supposed to host events since February but haven’t done one yet. They were supposed to do community reach out but still have not. And when I see on this website they are still laying people off it confuses me? As someone who has moved for this position can anyone give me an opinion if I should move back home and resign? Or risk renewing my lease only to be laid off or told we are closing? Just looking for ideas? Thanks
I've been trying to explain this to a few coworkers who still haven't figured out that even if your reviews are always stellar and you've been here for years and consider yourself irreplaceable, you're not. I think some people could face a hard truth if they don't wake up.
I was worried that if not enough people accepted the buyout offer, we'd have an involuntary round after. But if the rumors are true, there are more than enough already, even more than required, which should mean those of us who'd like to stay are safe. Or so I hope.
Just got hired for wellmed and already hearing of layoffs, however I’ve been with Navi for years but thought wellmed would be safer.
Providers are starting to be rude to anyone under UHG too. It’s like woke are getting tired of them serving shareholders more than members
I was going to apply for a job in that group but second guessing because of instability being caused by mass layoffs.
Not suprised oracle is laying ppl off. They’ve done 150+ acquisitions and the same thing happens every damn time... staff bail or get cut. This Has Happened MANY Times Before!!!!! oracle doesnt care about your job, they care about tech, customers, and $$$. once they buy a company, they gut the overlap, toss people they dont need, and shove the rest into whatever buzzword strategy they’re chasing (cloud, ai, whatever sounds cool to wall street). turnover there is already huge, so add an acquisition and yeah... ppl are basically walking severance packages waiting to happen. remember sun microsystems, peoplesoft, bea? same playbook. oracle buys, oracle cuts, oracle moves on. so if you’re shocked, idk what to tell you. layoffs are not a bug in oracle world, they’re the feature. ....

Is Cisco doing this?
Does anyone know who is deciding who is shortlisted for the jobs after we all apply?

Consult Partners Hiring?
Heard from an external recruiter that Kyndryl is hiring 20+ Consult Partners in the US, at $250k+ base. How accurate is that?
Would anyone recommend pursuing the opportunity? How's the interview process? How's the current situation at the company (layoffs, contract orders, etc)? Are the current projects really based on cloud, AI/ML, IoT, as their website says?
And have no clue what to do if I’m laid off. I’ve been looking into other jobs for months now, and I’m completely depressed from the experience. I truly hope others have had more luck, and that the problem is just my particular circumstances or bad luck. If not, then we’re all royally sc--wed.
“ Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. laid off 41 Akron-based employees last week, part of a continued restructuring that will cut more than 3,000 jobs across the company in the coming years.
The announcement comes on top of an earlier notice that Goodyear, which is based in Akron, plans in early 2025 to move 175 local jobs to Costa Rica and lay off employees here.”

I highly doubt the SD employees are looking to leave.. they are too retarded to know that they work for a terrible company. The accounting department gets paid shit, and they have been with the company longer than any other department. They are possibly the laziest and stupidest people I have ever come across. The real estate department could never get another job like that in SD, so they are staying. I can see the SF employees leaving because there are tons of jobs and opportunities for them in SF. In SD, these people enjoy being abused.
