Just curious. I had went on a loa for maternity leave the first week of June. I come back 2 weeks ago and come to find out about the layoffs and vsp. NOBODY told me or emailed me. Nothing. I find out about it through someone on my team when I got back. I go through my work email and I see the VSP email. I wasn’t even given the chance to look at it apply. Nothing. I still have not been told anything by my PL either about it. I have no idea what’s going on aside from reading these threads. What should my next step be? Do I contact HR? I don’t understand how it would be legal for me to be out on a medical leave and not know or be told one thing.

I know of someone who has been out for many months due to mental issues. Isn’t there a limit to how long you can be out or can you be paid indefinitely for this? As a woman, I am fine with maternity leave but this seems subjective.

I’m currently on maternity leave. My husband got a new job and I have the option to no longer work. Being a stay at home mom has been a dream of mine. If I don’t come back at the end of my leave do I need to pay back my leave? Is there a period I need to return to work to avoid that?

I have my baby next week, I want to take maternity leave.. I’m not sure how if I should use my PTO days or take the full maternity leave. I don’t want be stressed or out of the loop regarding VSP ( I did apply) .. will me taking leave now effect that? Could I be fired or laid off while on it. My 8 weeks will have me coming back around the first of September.!

Only Medtronic would do this to women right before Mother's Day.

I’m due with my baby in a month and I cannot help but feel so bitter. I was laid off back in February and have felt nothing but stress since. Genuinely hate myself for ever considering joining this company.

I’m just curious if there was anyone laid off while on maternity, paternity, or medical leave?

Heard stories of someone who wishes they took their full leave and was RIFd anyway, but anyone truly at home with baby and got a call!

I assume Dallas will shut down this week when the snow hits. Some forecasts predict twelve inches. Is everyone planning to work from home? Or since we can’t get to the office, and that’s the only place we can work, do we get a snow day off? My supervisor is on maternity leave so no info coming,, wondering what others are hearing.

I'm considering working at Humana but the 6-week paid maternity leave seems really short compared to their competitors.
