Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital has reduced its patient bed capacity by four. This decision was driven by a consistent decline in patient census over the past five years. As a result, three staff members in non-direct care roles were laid off. The hospital currently has nearly 60 open positions across the state system. These changes aim to better align staffing with actual patient needs and available resources.
