Union Sloths

Are out there trying to equalize any negative commentary. Just one question: WHY would/does a union withhold pertinent contract information that negatively affects the same personnel they claim to be fighting for? This is what all the less tenured... — read more

AT&T layoffs

Saw this on a Facebook group. Sounds like most of the union that was left in Denver was laid off today but Avaya. December 8th is the last day of payroll for what used to be the NSAC, billing, dispatch, and SOSC.

New Leaders Ops

Has anyone worked with the SVP of Strategic operations and transformation under Enterprise Operations ? If so what has been your experience with him because it seems like he isn’t the best partner around

Vampire lumen

💀🧛‍♂️ Working at Lumen sometimes feels like being in a vampire clan. • We work best in the dark (data centers, anyone?). • We su-k the life out of bandwidth — in the best way possible. • We’ve been around for ages and still keep reinventing... — read more

GTT?

Heard a bunch of folks last month jumped to GTT. Looked at their Layoff.com page and last comment was from 2022…ah…that is what stability is like.

Blowing Smoke

Every single person who posts about coming RIFs are just blowing smoke. You all know nothing. Nothing. You're like those psychics who continue spewing predictions until one of them comes true so you can go, "See?! Seeeee?! I was right!"

Meetings and awards

Seems like alot of posting on Linked in " look at me, look at us meetings" getting various groups to travel somewhere to discuss "strategies" and fun on the company dime. I also see awards from little known companies that say Lumen is great at this... — read more

EOI Sent to MEC

To absolutely no one's surprise, a show of interest was offered to PM's, ENG's, Fiber Splicers, etc to go to Network CO / ATT. A fun rollercoaster!

AT&T

I'm hearing rumors AT&T wants to close the Lumen deal before the end of the year. This might explain why. AT&T announced yesterday that they will pay EchoStar $23 billion in cash to acquire a portion of EchoStar's wireless spectrum licenses... — read more

A direction

Lumen is once again hiring someone from Microsoft. Shedding certain assets. An increase in insider stock buying. Makes you wonder if Ms. Johnson is not possibly setting up the company to be acquired.

RIF coming

Person who works with SVPs under Ward said a RIF is coming for STEPN. This week or next due to projects over budget.

Well, this place has managed to force my hand

I’ve been working on launching a business for years, just kept putting parts of it off. But everything happening here lately put things into perspective, and I’m done playing it safe. It won’t be easy, but I’ve already wasted enough time trying to... — read more

Whoopsie Kate?

Look, I am not a rocket scientist but none of this makes sense. Lumen 2nd quarter results were just announced on Thursday. Lumen did NOT make the same revenue as the previous quarter. Lumen's Revenue dropped 5.4% as it has been dropping each quarter... — read more

Brace Y'Self, Effie

Here we go! My source just told me to expect things to happen tomorrow morning. It won't be everyone, but it will be significant. The struggle is real. Be mindful of others and be kind.

Feeling sorry for AT&T Spin off

AT&T is going to find out how bad the plant is in Denver. The elite cable maintenance has frogged the cable so bad it takes us awhile to find the right ports. They are lucky they are only going from the FSAI out. The other side of the FSAI is even... — read more

AT&T tax break for fiber

So AT&T is taking an $8B tax break for fiber. Just crickets from Lumen. Why aren't they taking it too? It's awfully quiet. Too quiet.

Rumormongers

Y'all are nothing but a bunch of rumormongers. Your logic is lacking, and your proof is even worse. Shame on you spreading this cr-p.

Lumen needs a lot of help

I wish to use names but know that is a no, no. In Denver the current management has lost total focus. They do not care about customers, only themselves. We want to do our jobs and take care of those who pay the bills. However we get told no! Now if... — read more
