You want to know your RIF list?
Ask your leaders in your next 1-1 measurable criteria for next 30/60/90. Make sure you include your plan. How they can help remove hurdles for you.
If they can't commit or are vague....you know already , but want to be passive , its ok.
You now know ! What you do with that is on you !
Hunt or get hunted !
WellMed El Paso RIF
Post only if anyone got an email or knows anything about RIF for El Paso
Humana Customers - you are in for a rough 2026!
Unfortunately, all of these RIFs that are removing the actual people who do work and care, are going to negatively impact customers. Humana's biggest issues were they denied many claims and provided terrible customer service / digital experiences. This will only continue and get worse! The Digital products are horrible - they are not user friendly, perform slow, look as if people new to "digital products" are working on them! And, customer service is impacted - if they can't find what they need on digital products, it goes to the 800 number. Customers are dealing with their health - so, they need caring people to work at Humana, well and knowledgeable. In the Digital area, it seems they don't care and definitely have no experience or knowledge! I feel so for the customers - they will have a terrible 2026!!
April RIFs
Already got notified that I need to provide names by April 1st… we’re surviving the 03/19 wave but since I’m being asked to provide names it’s safe to assume there’s at least one round in April. Anyone else get notified? (GL30 here)
Inside Sales RIF
Apparently, inside sales AVPs were made aware of the RIF coming next month and were told to review the impact list before it's finalized this week. All ICs, no leaders.
If you're in the Orlando call center, it would be wise to make sure your savings are in order...I'm hearing that half that office is getting termed before June with some roles moved to Dallas.
You will know if you're impacted if you get an email from workforce mgmt asking you to document your average work day with your FLM copied.
Stay safe y'all!!
RIF's taking place today 3/17/26!!
layoffs taking place today 3/17/26. Myself along with 2 others I know were laid off effective today!! GBD business
RIF in Provider Contract Load
Another example of Humana making no sense...we have been on mandatory overtime for over 2 years and today we get RIFd for no reason.
3 pets, 7 team members or Thinking in Thrive Boxes for Simpletons
How will my manager manage?
She has 3 pets, 2 performers, 2 under performers.
How will she fit them in the corporate Thrive boxes? With only $16,485.38 cents for raises, 2 of the pets are going to be punished by being forced into the performer box.
I do not see this working out well for my teammates. Feels like more undocumented RIF actions than NetApp's move important asset.
WDGSTIF? Who Did George Steal This Idea From? Oh, well his twin brother of course.
More Layoffs
At the last town hall they said layoffs were done and we had the right people in the right places. But more people were rif'd last week. Not sure what to believe.
3/19 layoff potential?
Please post here throughout the week if you hear anything about the potential 3/19 RIF, information is power....
So in EMEA your Band 5 leaders now know
Things were kept under wraps for a while but now your Band 5 leader now knows what’s going down…they have to choose who is going to be riffed…who will sink or swim. Don’t trust a single thing they say…
Employee Surveys used to determine for Layoffs
Score the company, team, leader too low, and you might find yourself part of a RIF.

I left MDT and they called me to come back.
I left 3 years ago, and man, I loved it at MDT. I had a great boss, great work, and just the best work friends ever. I was happy with my salary and benefits, too. I learned a lot and became a great professional largely because of my time there. They called me to go back last week.
And so it's devastating to say I told my ex-VP I wouldn't... because Geoff Martha is still CEO and for as long as that is true, it just isn't a stable place to work. I was privy to a lot of the details of RIF work and so much of it really was because of sh---y financial results, despite them calling it "OPTIMIZATION". Eventually they were even sacking really brilliant people that consistently delivered.
Really sad and they could turn it around if the board wasn't a bunch of rent-seekers and would do the right thing and get rid of GM.
Management
So I was officially RIF ( in EMEA) about 2 weeks ago.
My direct manager; who I used to speak to maybe Three times a week has not even called or messaged. I did speak to him the day before I was RIF, he talked about plans and work related travel 3 months out.. wtf…
HIH Clueless About Layoffs
Band 4 manager here. I’ve lost a lot of talent over the past year due to RIF. As ops has moved over to HIH there’s a whole team over there doing stuff we deal with. Their manager pulled me into a meeting to say his employees were complaining about mine. Mainly that we are slow to respond, and that my team isn’t “nice.”
I asked for specifics and if anyone was unprofessional or outright rude. Turned out the HIH team doesn’t like that my team is direct, asks them to repeat when they don’t understand due to language or the ask is unclear, takes initiative, and basically does stuff fast without explanation because we don’t have time and have too much to do.
More discussion led to him asking me to have my team slow down and be more “pleasant” and to engage in back and forth rather than just getting to the point. I told him my team complains that they get pinged with just “hi” and won’t respond unless there is something actionable too. He asked for us to spend more time helping his team with their work so the can learn and get better and that my team has told his they don’t have time. I agreed. And I said as long as they are being professional, I can’t expect more from them because they are watching their friends and coworkers lose jobs that are being given to HIH.
HIH manager was very surprised and didn’t realize that what was going on. I said as long as we meet SLA then that’s that and I don’t expect my team to respond same day for anything that isn’t a managed incident.
Anyone at HIH on this forum, be glad we are interacting with you professionally. I’ve had team members express downright hatred for HIH. Nothing against you personally, but Cigna is firing us to give you jobs, so don’t expect friendliness.
None of this is sustainable. I’ve told my Director to put me on the layoff list. When I have to bite my tongue to avoid yelling at HIH, and I get no answers from above other than more RIF is coming but my team is okay because we are 20:80, I can’t do it anymore.
Friday RIFs
I wonder how many people were RIF’d today. :( we can’t keep living like this. It’s too stressful.
26th March
Is anyone able to clarify what to expect on the 26th. Is this just Europe, Middle East, Asia (EMEA) or is this also in the states? Is it an offer of a VSP or a RIF? The posts have been vague.
Verizon EMEA VBG/GN&T dumpster fire
Even before this week's annoucement, I could tell this organization was one of the most poorly structured "too many chefs" places I will ever worked at. Now we're in a position where Security Sales doesn't know what to sell or if there will be anyone around to deliver, and you have band 5s in the US still saying "EMEA is BAU" and that we still need to find ways to "continue as normal and building the best case for the value of our PS cyber work". so in other words sell / deliver while you can and when it's time we will RIF you all to purgatory and get hcltech to deliver whats left. how the f--k am I expected to work thinking this?
Management layoff
3 SRO's are gone from the Pacific Northwest as of this morning. I am sure that there are more RIF's happening today.
RIF Baby RIF
2025 was entertaining, get the popcorn out for 2026. It should be a doozy.
The gaslighting is getting hard to ignore
After 20+ years at Verizon, I’ve never seen morale this low or trust in leadership this broken.
Yesterday’s EMEA call was a brutal reminder of where things really stand. Yet today we’re all expected to log in, smile on calls, and carry on as if nothing happened.
What makes it worse is the constant stream of polished messaging from management and our Exec team that feels completely disconnected from reality. We’re told everything is about “transformation,” “strategy,” and “opportunities,” while RIFs happen all the time and the remaining staff are expected to absorb the work.
I feel like we’re being gaslighted.
Everyone knows AI is coming and it will fundamentally change large parts of the workforce and remove even more jobs at a rate much higher than we've known before. Employees aren’t stupid. Most of us have decades of experience and can see exactly what’s happening.
What’s astonishing is the apparent belief from leadership that the workforce will just nod along and accept whatever narrative is being presented.
After more than two decades here, I’ve never seen this level of distrust between employees and leadership. People can deal with tough decisions and difficult change. What they struggle with is the feeling that the truth is being managed rather than communicated.
Right now, the biggest gap in this company isn’t technology or strategy. It’s credibility.
Post-RIF Ramble (get out while you can)
On November 20, I was devastated. 100+ days later, I am far better. You can be too. I just started a new, great job in a whole new-to-me industry but where my talents are magnified. Hindsight is truly 20/20 - there were plenty of good things about working at Verizon, but the red tape and the lying to themselves and the constant frantic work — and for what?? — it’s not like that elsewhere and my god, why did we wait so long. I’m grateful for my big fat severance and vacation day payout and STI, and now I have a new job where I feel, dare I say, better. ALL OF YOU STILL AT VZ, I can’t tell you enough - GET OUT. THERE IS LIFE OUTSIDE VERIZON. I drank the koolaid for so long and my goodness, the veil has been lifted after my RIF. Why was I so sad in November?
Anything this week?
Any news on RIFs for this week, 3/12....?
19 March RIF?
The 19th is just next week. Good Luck everyone!
Layoffs starting
Had about 35 members of my team laid off on the last RIF 4 months ago - last Monday I and the remainder of the team, 7 of us who were left were let go.
So when exactly IS the next layoff!?!?
We know there's another $600M for 'restructuring' left in this fiscal year, and we know another RIF is likely coming in Q1/June. So wtf, when is the axe going to fall next?
Is this legal?
My role was eliminated in the last RIF wave with a term date of 2/6. I was told it was due to cost pressures and not performance as I have always had high performance ratings but did unfortunately need a couple medical leaves last year. However, LESS than 20 calendar days later, my exact role was posted internally at one grade level lower. I still had my work laptop in my possession and hadn't received my severance check. The role is now posted externally. Is this even legal? I'm wondering if I have a case to call employee relations due to retaliation.
Please be kind in your responses, this is traumatic enough.
STD=RIF?
Do you think they will start letting people on STD go?
Reminder email from HR,even after Docusign completed
I got Riffed recently, few days ago completed the docuSign, surprisingly today got a reminder email from HR mentioning that they sent the DocuSign, and there's an expiry date hence I should complete and send it within due date. Did anyone experience the same (after completing the docusign getting a reminder email)..anything need to be done in this case?
Job Postings
Irving, O'Fallon, Jacksonville and Tampa all have numerous NEWLY posted jobs on the career site posted in late February and March.
Is Citi still hiring despite RIF?
OP channel? Is he an employee at least?
Have been chking these posts for a while and just see OP posts!! If serious massive rifs finally hit us …but the suffering with posts “wolf is coming….” Is a never ending nightmare
RIFed employees negotiating severance
Have any non-executives and non-management who have been RIFed successfully negotiated their severance?
I also read comments here stating RIFed employees must sign an NDA. Is it worth having an attorney read prior to signing?
2026 more RIF to come !!!
