Look at the faces in the crowd of the Employee Culture recap video and tell me that Business Leadership still believes the koolaid they’re peddling sounds delicious to the employees. What a joke. No clue

Cuts, and job threats.
Every day we hear something about cuts and have are jobs threatened! Do it already! Tired of being under the damn microscope! I constantly see people sitting in the cafe as I go from assignment to assignment, and everytime, no matter what time, there is a old blond haired lady sitting in OC8. No wonder Intel is in trouble, paying people to sit around and do nothing!
NA Deal Desk/DM/Contract Specialists/Whatever the name is now...
Who has been RIF'd this round or over the last several months? I'll go first. I was in October...anyone else? Any whispers about what's next? First they combined DS/DM roles...then they added extra layers of Sales Help and Deal Desk...so they combined essentially four roles into one, no extra pay, less headcount, and now they are just shoving it all to AI?
WPE
I know everyone has their own opinions on wfh, hybrid and coffee swipers but this isn’t the post for opinions. A few people I know had been swiping then working from home and the manager was aware. They are now going in for the full 3 days but have not received anything from WPE. Are people only being fired at certain sites? Can anyone confirm this is happening in the GA or FL offices? I heard that one site had a major review and fired employees but is that confirmed?
Blitz
Just received an email for a sales blitz for Alpharetta, Irving and Temple Terrace. I'm not sure about Alpharetta, but I know for a fact Temple Terrace is being decommissioned within the next two weeks. Items are already being auctioned on ASI 3 auction catalog lmao. This is how bad our leadership is. They sent an email for a sales blitz for a building that won't even have any furniture within the next few weeks lol
This place would run so much better if people actually worked together
What happened to this place? We used to collaborate, now it’s every team for itself. No one shares anything, everyone hoards information like it gives them an edge. Do people actually think that’s going to protect them or get them ahead? Is this seriously where we are now?
Down Goes Duke!
Duke stunned by UConn in final 0.4 seconds. The Blue Devils are now the first No. 1 seed to lose in the tournament after leading by at least 15 points at halftime. Couldn’t of happened to a more arrogant fan base!
Adobe Workfront Fiasco
Workplace Benefits has just launched an Adobe project management called Worfront. It is a s@/!t sandwich. No one has a clue to use it and management knows it but won’t admit. Ah, only the best and brightest team here at the Bank
People Who Love Corporate BS Are Bad at Their Jobs
Hey boss, this is about you:

March 26th is here - and I don’t have any meetings
No meeting on the calendar and no message from the bosses.
Another no news predicted RIF day!!!
Anyone else find it comical ?
I’ve been here awhile, I see VP/SVP’s all of a sudden posting pictures of themselves with their teams on LinkedIn at their self-indulging little town hall meetings “look at me”, “I’m great”, “don’t fire me”.
Meanwhile, they have been here for decades, never worked anywhere else. Let me fill you in, you’re not the solution, you are the problem so save us your vanity posts and how much you miraculously now know about AI or Verizon Customers. lol
RTO enforced unevenly
RTO 3/4 days a week: some managers in Risk are not enforcing it, letting their good butt buddy cronies slide. Why bother commuting for nothing but Teams meetings, when the guy next to me is getting a pass?
Wells Fargo is no longer a meritocracy, its a cronyocracy.
The art of keeping your job
Honestly, lately I’ve just been really passionate about whatever my manager is passionate about. Turns out I have a lot of really strong opinions about their ideas and weirdly, all of them are great ideas. I’ve also been stepping up for the bigger projects, because nothing says “please don’t fire me” like being the first to volunteer for more work. I’ve just found that the more coffee chats I schedule with leadership, the more they seem to… remember I exist. Funny how that works. I’m not saying I laughed at every joke in the last team meeting, but I’m also not saying I didn’t.
F-k VA
VA has zero understanding of technology or operations. Most of what he says are just polished filler phrases he’s relied on for years, rather than real substance. Someone please end this misery.
Absenteeism was crazy today!
What was that all about? Is it because it's EIP payday? Angry about the In-Office stuff? So many employees were MIA today and it really su-ked for all of us who actually did our job. Unreal.
Next Round around the corner
I overheard a director say just listed every employee whom reports to me as possible candidates for the next round of lay offs and I'll tell my managers to give me solid reasons why I should remove each person you want removed.
1Q GO Town Hall.
I thought a disgruntled employee was popping things in there. scared the heck out of me...LOL
Why do so many senior managers
Sound like they haven't hit puberty yet?
How do layoffs work here
In previous companies I've worked at, the direct mgr does the layoff but from what I see in OT it's the VP who does the lay off ?
Are direct managers in the loop at all ?
When will invites go out , Friday ?
March 23rd (Second Round)
I am hearing that there will be more layoffs on the 23rd. Some loud mouth that sits near me keeps bragging about how they are supposed to be quite. I guess he feels like one of the cool kids because they are in the loop.
Now’s the time
Alright all of you GL 30s and above. We know you’re on here, and we know that you have all of the tea. Spill it, what’s happening this week?
Access card did not work this morning
Is it a sign?
It's the 16th. Anything going on?
Nothing where I’m at. And I haven’t heard anything yet.
Not what I expected
Started in January and with all the hybrid jobs I started looking. Good luck ATT you are back in the 80’s with punch card 8 hours and 5 days office your deliverables, innovation, and appl support is out the door
Branch Managers are Absolutely Useless!!
I often wonder what a Branch Manager does as part of their daily routine and I’ve finally figured it out. Sit in a chair all day and pretend to work. As an MDS Rep they are absolutely useless to me.
Just curious what Directors should go and why?
We have all said it, there is at least one director out there that we want to know why they are even here. I personally want to apply out of my spot but don’t want to be in a toxic environment especially when the fruit goes bad from the “top” down. Any suggestions on which directors to avoid and why?
Frat BOY culture
Is it just me or is everyone in or that they promote to leadership roles resemble the dudes in college who would do keg stands? A totally weird chest thumping group of dudes. Many who seem to be clinging to the good all days when they were athletes and now dress like guys that are competent, but really just brown nosed all the right people at all the right times. Bird brains with serious bravado. Not one that can actually solve any problems, they are just real good at deep throating. They certainly never disagree with the big wigs. So many bad decisions made by the EC and no one with a backbone to disagree with them. Not entirely their fault I suppose. The big X let go of anyone who openly disagreed with them long ago. Obedience is the standard, not brains!
Layoffs are happening
And at least one of them in my org deserved every bit of it for being a total slacker for years. They brought it on themselves.
Anyone else here have justified layoffs (more like firings) in their org this week?
Managers at BNY are a joke
Pointed out something that saved my boss from major embarrassment, but instead of being grateful he's upset at me for correcting him? Should've just let him walk into it. Lesson learned.
How to survive latest drama at Oracle
Lay low don’t attach any undo attention to yourself.
Do not trust or talk to coworkers.
Under no circumstances should you help coworkers. Those that struggle stand out and will end up layoff candidate.
When its survival mode, it’s either sink or swim.
Office Survival Skills
Never explain yourself under pressure
- Being forced to explain yourself often places you in a submissive position.
- If a question is framed this way, point it out directly.
- Example: "I don't think you meant to, but that question puts me in a position where I have to justify myself, and that is not a role I am going to take right now."
Never argue about your motives
- Do not engage in debates about what your intentions supposedly were.
- Call out the framing instead.
- Example: "The way that was said puts me in a position where I have to defend my character."
Never take the bait on character attacks
- Avoid engaging with accusations about who you are as a person.
- Do not argue over identity or character.
Never apologize simply to de escalate
- With a manipulator, the apology they push for is often meant as an admission of guilt.
- It usually does not resolve the underlying issue.
Never match emotional intensity to prove your point
- Do not mirror someone else's anger or intensity.
- Escalating emotion rarely strengthens an argument.
Never accept someone else's language without precision
- Words like disrespect, abuse, or betrayal can shape the narrative.
- Accepting those labels without clarification lets someone else define the situation.
- Clarify what they specifically mean before engaging with the claim.
Never accept binary traps
- Avoid being forced into yes or no or either or answers when the situation is more complex.
- Seek specificity.
- Ask clarifying questions such as:
- "When you said that, what specifically are you referring to?"
- "What outcome are you hoping for here?"
Never try to win through logic alone
- Arguments are not always resolved through logic by itself.
- Emotional dynamics, framing, and intentions often influence the outcome.
#gold rules
The type that thrives at Cigna
Look around at who gets ahead. It's the people who say yes to everything and know how to flatter the right folks. They can't actually do the technical work. Ask them to solve a real problem and they fall apart. Empathy? Leadership skills? Not a chance. They just know how to climb.
Why is IBM like this?
I've watched the same pattern for years. The people who get promoted aren't the ones doing the best work. They're the ones talking the loudest about their work. I come in, hit my numbers, solve problems, meet every deadline. I don't make a fuss about it. I just do it. And every time a project comes up or a position opens, it goes to someone who spends all their time in meetings telling everyone how great they are.
Has your manager ever actually helped with anything?
Supported you? Managed thoughtfully? Tried to understand people's strengths and assign work accordingly? Do they even fully understand what your team does?
Mine might as well be from another planet. Great at office politics, useless at the actual work, and convinced that passive-aggressive behavior equals authority. I don't think anyone would notice, or work would suffer, if they were gone tomorrow.
performance
not so friendly reminder…
When corporate says bring your whole self to work, please do not.
Bring your professional self. The edited version. The safe version. The one that says good question even when the question made absolutely no sense.
When someone asks what did you do this weekend, you do not tell them you were dancing on bars, binge watching shows, or questioning your life choices.
You say you relaxed and recharged.
When the big boss tells a joke that completely dies in the room, you laugh. Not because it was funny. Because everyone understands the script.
Here is the truth nobody says out loud.
Corporate is theater.
Meetings are scenes. Titles are costumes. And most people are acting like they have everything under control.
That is why they call them performance reviews.
Some people think corporate sucess is purely about talent. Sometimes it is. But a lot of the time it is about knowing when to nod, when to stay quiet, and when to say great point.
so if you want to survive corporate…
work on your acting.
because the people winning the game are not always the most qualified.
They are the ones who understand the stage.
REALITY check??
Am I wrong, or just saying the quiet part out loud?
What's the dirt on Scotty the Science Lab?
A few questions regarding 3M's mascot, Scotty: Who watches him all day? What does it cost to have people watch him? Where does he go at night? How much did it cost to trademark his name: The Science Lab? How much time and money went into this decision (legal, PR cost, etc) to acquire him? Was he a rescue dog/puppy mill/legitimate breeder?
Is there any chance he will get laid off or spun-off?
Maybe a better mascot would be a black widow spider or a preying mantis, you know, one's that eat their own.

"Silliness" LOL
To all the people posting hoping they get the “golden ticket”
…knock it off! I know it su-ks always being worried about losing your job every Tuesday after payday, but you really don’t want to lose your job, especially with so many industries laying off in the last year or so. It sounds good to have a break from all the cr-p that goes on in office (I totally get that), but being freshly unemployed is NOT fun and I do not wish that upon anyone! It is hard to find a job in 2025/2026, especially when you don’t already have a job. A lot of posts for the last week or so saying March 3rd was going to be a huge day for layoffs and it was no worse than any other day. Stop creating unnecessary drama and fear for people saying the sky is falling when it’s not. Yes, I know some people lost their jobs yesterday and that su-ks, but be a good person and don’t post rumors…only post facts!
