Was his message: We did a few layoffs to invest in ai, but it was not performance based AND our focus for the next 6 months is to integrate AI in all our code so that they can more easily get rid of us?

Egypt Exploration
Cannot wait to see the results after laying off most the geos with proven successful exploration experience.
When's the next VERP?
With all the lay offs and facilities closing, when will they off the next VERP, early retirement package? If 2nd quarter 2026, that would be 3 years since the last package. 4 years would be 2027, hope not that long.
Pulte Quietly Letting People Go. (10/7/2025)
Pulte Divisions are starting to let people go 1 or 2 at a time to avoid the mass layoff optics and attention. Employees beware.
Oracle GRC - EOL
Will the layoffs hit the GRC staff? I remember on May 2025 they announced the support will no longer be delivered to customers, so it switches on user’s responsibility. Is GRC employees included in layoffs plan?
Remote deam and the pink life at Dell
1- You think Dell can go back to full remote for everybody ?
2- and you think that layoff can be stopped at a certain time ?
HMH is not the place to work
This place is driven by the top management who's only focus is to get their big fat bonus come next spring. So Bloody October is an every year occurrence for this company. Worker be where this place does not care about you.

Another round of layoffs today!!
Heinemann is getting hit HARD today by layoffs. Approximately 10 so far and the calendar invites with HR keep coming.
Which countries/orgs have been hit?
There are a lot of rumors going around, and it’s hard to tell what’s actually true.
Layoff envy
I couldn’t sleep all night last night as I realized the lucky ones just got laid off with nice, little severance packages. I can’t do all this work alone on my team. I have no chance of job satisfaction with looming layoffs in the future. I’ve been set up to fail. It’s become obvious that there will be no promotions anytime soon let alone one every three or four years. We all just got neutered. Ironically…that’s what we thought just happened to all the guys who just got laid off. What a dumpster fire.
The Club Wyndham Skyline Tower closing

Was anyone laid off because we ranked 567?
Did anyone lose their job because we ranked so low on Forbes list?
Renault targets 3,000 job cuts amid cost-saving measures
Renault is set to propose voluntary redundancies for around 3,000 employees in support functions, in a move to streamline operations, as reported by Reuters, citing L'Informe, a French newsletter.
In collaboration with its alliance partners Nissan and Mitsubishi Motors, Renault Group recently announced that it is entering a new phase focused on the development of electric vehicles and the pursuit of industrial synergies within Europe.

Is anyone else worried that most of the cuts are outside the US?
It feels like they’re separating us from the rest of the world and getting ready to throw something even bigger at us down the line.
Sadistic company
Sometimes it feels like some of the decisions being made are there for no reason other than to make our lives harder. I think this leadership is sadistic and has turned Wells Fargo into a sadistic company. I don’t think anyone is still here because they want to be.
All associate meeting today
Anyone have any insight into any bombshell set to be dropped at today's all associate meeting? Is this when they lay the RTO onto people, or any new reorg%alignments/RIFs planned that will come out today?
Get ready for more work
The work the laid off people were doing didn't disappear. It'll still need to be done. And guess who'll be doing it? Certainly not the ones who made the decision to lay people off and certainly not new people, because they're not going to hire any replacements. Which means, those of us still in IT are sc--wed.
Everett Cash team gutted
Hello,
I was recently let go last week and 80% of our team was as well. Everett for years has been the step child to boston but when speaking with my manager at the time of my layoff , the hiring in Florida is going to go full steam ahead in 2026. Majority of the jobs in everett will eventually get replaced with florida hires and by the time we were set to go boston it will be a shell of its former self. I also just like many of you on this website didnt get full severance. I was capped at 12 weeks due to missing my mandatory (54 hours of training) what a lovely place to work. Im thankful I have interviews set up already working with a recruiter but I wish I left sooner.
RIF's Incoming EMEA
Large scale RIF's coming this month! There is a memo currently doing the rounds with management, looking for additional departmental cuts. They initally are looking to trim the fat. Like before Attendance, time keeping, performance, etc.
Elliott Investment Management are undertaking large scale cost-cutting imitative along with other cost saving and restructuring initiatives. The RIF's will begin this month and continue through to 2026.
Elliott are planning to undertake a number of acquisitions of specific medical device companies, with the end goal being to transfer products to more competitive countries. Keep watching this space, for the types of companies bought and country they are situated in. This will give a good indication as to which facilities are for the block.
New Verizon ceo just in time for contract no coincidence
Listen this new CEO was brought in to cut management, cut costs and raise stock prices .This is no coincidence he was brought in right as the merge with frontier which has contracts and the largest current contract up in August that they could not agree on an extension. So for the union people too this is no blessing !!!I believe the board saw Hans as too sympathetic to the Unions as Europe is .So I would now confidently say get ready for a long protracted Strike .The unions are too behind eight ball CWA IBEW to realize this was another strategic move by the VERIZON BOARD.McAdams 2.0 coming in .Any associate not starting to realize where this is headed in next few months and stop suk in the management in the fios back room deserves what’s next but is out weakest link open your eyes leadership/membership
Severance
Has anyone (let go in early August) actually gotten their severance checks yet? Something seems really off.
The people I know who also got laid off haven't received their checks yet either.
Fun seeing the promotion announcements
Especially knowing that a bunch of my co-workers in the same orgs were silently laid off a couple of months ago for "business decisions". Exemplary leadership making people at the bottom rungs of the ladder do double the work now so we can pay for the leader's promotions.
Layoffs
P24 seems like a golden age now that Project Mongoose is in effect. Instead of (for most countries) voluntary redundancy, your name and role are on a list. Works council stated this will be an annual thing. So much for the feeling of community at SAP. Also when did the T4 level become poison? Speaking informally with HR T4 positions are not really sought after. T1, T2 highly sought. It's brutal out here now.
Norfolk layoffs
Management sent out an email October 6th 2025 that 50 union and 50 management positions were to be laid off due to lack of work. The truth is they sub most of the work out and are bringing in their people from San Diego to run the place. Glad I retired and got out of that mad house.
Ford EV plants layoffs.
https://b60.ruckusfactory.com/ford-cuts-1500-from-ev-plantsadmits-market-way-smaller-than-anticipated/
It's about time. Loosing $45,000 for every EV Ford produced is a losing game.
31 Denver Layoffs-Update
TIAA's loss is Empower's gain.
TIAA filed letters to local and state officials last week under the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, or WARN Act, saying its latest 31 job cuts in Denver will begin Dec. 1. The round of layoffs will not include any positions at its Broomfield Data Center, at 11525 Main St., the company said.
The T. Brown Duckett mess continues.
Ireland Layoffs
It was just announced that less than 30 colleagues are affected. Does anyone know the areas?
About 13K more to layoff
LBT noted today between basketball, laser focus, humble, my BFF’S, that we need to get to 75K employees by end of the year, for you super geniuses this is about 13K more to go. (TSMC plus Nvidia) is 75K. Dont get too comfortable.
Writing is on the wall!
Fifth Third Bank has officially acquired Comerica, marking another significant move in what appears to be a growing trend of regional bank mergers under the current U.S. administration. Industry analysts expect further consolidation as economic pressures and regulatory shifts continue to reshape the financial landscape.
Meanwhile, Truist is undergoing internal restructuring. Sources indicate that between 500 and 700 contractors were cut last Friday in Digital and Technology divisions. While the company cited "policy concerns" raised by its legal department, insiders suggest the move was primarily driven by cost-cutting objectives. The timing coincided with contract renewal periods, and many agreements were allowed to lapse without extension.
Additional reductions are on the horizon, including cuts to employee benefits, further contractor downsizing, and full-time staff layoffs. Truist has faced ongoing challenges in the market, with underwhelming stock performance fueling speculation that the bank itself may become an acquisition target in the near future.
AT&T layoffs
Saw this on a Facebook group.
Sounds like most of the union that was left in Denver was laid off today but Avaya. December 8th is the last day of payroll for what used to be the NSAC, billing, dispatch, and SOSC.
Almost a year
Its been almost a year since Cargill displaced so many colleagues. I see all the linkedin posts of the highly political leaders taking credit for foundational efforts of others they dismissed without even a second thought. It is still sad and heartbreaking reminder of how cruel the culture was. Wonder if current employees even bother to check in on those that still do not have jobs or that left without any acknowledgment of their years of service to this cold company.
Nepotism at its finest. While we lay off experienced individuals.
The Director/Manager's daughter got hired on making 65K+ as a Business Analyst with a Bachelors Degree in Fashion and no prior health care experience. When normal people don't get looked at unless you have at least 1+ of health care experience. But if you have the right last name and NO experience you can just be handed a job. NO need to work for it.
Remote Workers
Anyone hear anything about remote workers? Have managers been given a chance to prove their position is critical or will all remote employees be let go Oct 28?
Sycamore Partners Layoff Plan
Hi, I'm at Walgreens. What support center jobs/departments were hit with the layoffs the first year of Sycamore Partners buying Staples? Appreciate the insight of where I could be in the chopping block.
Technology location strategy
Any word on when the next wave hits for technology? I thought it was October but I haven’t heard anything for a while.
I fired everyone before they fired me.
Golly gee, look at all the former Gainwell leaders looking for new jobs!
RIF’d - let’s here what group you were in…
Anyone feeling comfortable sharing what org and group they were just laid off from? 😬😬 They’ve really done a number on Deal Managers, Deal Specialists, SalesHelp, Deal Desk in the last couple years, but the last two rounds of layoffs I’m shocked at…there was already so little headcount with all that work being rolled into one. Have been shocked to see some of the names that were axed. Really sad.
