Has anybody else noticed the increased number in generic five-star reviews and decrease in negative ones? It could be argued that people are simply happier here and talking about it (with very similar, soulless phrases), but anybody who works here knows that's bull. What happened? Is Glassdoor another corporate sellout?

Sekou making news today.
It’s being reported that Sekou Kaalund, Senior Executive VP and member of the Managing Committee, may have involved himself in some financial shenanigans, and may have misrepresented some material facts to the court appointed Receiver of troubled distiller Uncle Nearest Inc. This could subject the bank to substantial reputational risk as the story develops.

Dst is unknown
I was giving a lecture to UMKC students. I brought up DST as a locally grown company. Not a single student in the BUSINESS class knew of DST. They had no idea. Even after I explained it. Dst is just past history
Black and veatch poorly msnaged?
I live in overland park. All I hear is how poorly managed the company is. Is this true?
Talking with some friends today...
and the topic of work came up. I admitted I worked for Wells Fargo. The first thing - and I mean THE FIRST THING one of them said was "they have horrible customer service and I won't bank there".
Now I admit I was a bit taken aback by that statement. I've been in some of the branches around here and they are pretty good, having been renovated and refreshed.
But then I thought to myself about all the cross-selling and accounts scandals over the years and it struck me. WF so seriously damaged their brand with those scandals (that we employees lived through btw) that memories are long and I don't think WF can do anything to fix it. I mean, if the first memory that surfaces is bad, in just a common conversation, what does that say about our employer?
Refresh the branches all you want, it won't help change people's minds.
QCOM has been proven a shithole by WS in the past five years.
Another bad 10 years are coming due to QPOET.
Don’t say that one obnoxious team will not have big impact. Please keep in mind that toxicity is contagious.
Time will give the opposition a lesson. It actually already had!
Advice for Dan after watching him at Davos
Dan, respectfully, you represent all of us and I was a little embarrassed by your appearance on the HBR panel at Davos. For next time, here are 3 pieces of advice:
1.) Shave.
2.) Sit up. Don't slouch. Posture's a huge non-verbal.
3.) If wearing a black top, thoroughly brush it off before go-live.
What was on display did not seem to represent the focus and determination of Verizon employees to restore this company to greatness. Thanks.
To the managers: I will remember you
I have about 6 names I have filed away deep into memory, and I have a very long memory. There is a small chance that one day in the future your name will cross my desk and I will remember you. I will remember how you lied, manipulated and gamed the system to stack rank good people to force them out the door. I will remember your lack of ethics. If that day ever comes know this: I will remember you, and I will be sure to exert whatever influence I have to reciprocate after you burned that bridge.
Also know this, there are thousands of others like me who will remember you. They will also remember how Wells Fargo treated them. Eventually the damage to your reputation, and the firms, will catch up to you.
SF Reputation and RICO
When SF settled the RICO case for 250 Million it spoke volumes about the company reputation. To say it was settled as a business decision which IMO an admission of liability. This damaged the company and it continues to spiral downward by cutting benefits, laying workers off, and continuing to slash workers who believe and work hard to fulfill the mission and vision of the company. The company advertising deals with everything but the product itself. The customer is wise to its diversion tactics. On a local level, the company's reputation has tanked even within law enforcement. What was once the leader in all respects of ethics and business has literally been flushed down the toilet for money.
Changed name but not reputation
Because all the bad characters are still there.
Applying elsewhere, experience at SS&C is a red flag
Laid off 6 months ago and so far all I’ve heard through my applications and recruiters is that their experience with former SS&C employees have not been good.
Not my fault that 3/4 of the company are subpar offshore & H1B employees that fail to practice even the most basic software standards that anyone would learn from a freshman level undergraduate course.
Worse for me considering this has been my only experience since graduating. Worse for SS&C considering me with no other experience other than a bachelors degree has more knowledge than supposed “senior” engineers.
Fun fact, if you’re a senior engineer than maybe you should know your database issue that your team has been working on for 4 months is because you guys somehow decided to put whitespaces in the column names which we’ve been trying to tell you is a horrible practice
Who would join a company with this reputation?
How are we still hiring people? What are they telling candidates to make the job sound good, now that the word has gotten out about all the cr-p we go through on a daily basis? I can't see why anyone would accept an offer here right now.
State Farm Life
It is so obvious State Farm is all image without no substance. What say you?
The quiet part of the recent layoffs
These workforce cuts are creating a deeper problem that isn't being discussed. We haven't been attracting top-tier talent for a long time because the word is out about how things work here. By letting some of our most capable people go and filling spots with unprepared new hires, PepsoCo is slowly dismantling its own future.
I think belk is slowly trying to improve its reputation
I think belk is trying to do better
I’m sure I’m gonna get slammed for this post, but I heard belk has gotten so much negative publicity for their store operations that they are trying to do better. Hometown stores seem to have it the toughest, while mall and golden stores have a less demanding workload for each employee.
I certify don’t want to see belk suffer, it’s an iconic part of North Carolina.
I do think they are slowly realizing that some of their managers and corporate leadership are toxic.
Horrible company
It’s obvious that Uniti has lost their focus. This company is up in the clouds and has no idea how bad they are treating their customers and employees. It’s sad and their needs to be a revolution.
Is BNY's reputation affecting your job hunt?
I haven't been here long, but the company's public image seems to have taken a real hit lately. I'm starting to worry that having this on my resume might not be helping my applications. Maybe it's just my nerves, but the thought's definitely crossed my mind more than once.
MD at the White House
Just watched Trump blowing smoke up MD's skirt saying MD creates a great product. All Trump Fund talk
C-Suite Continues to Honor Themselves Online
Not a good look to clinicians, clients and internal staff. Paints the company in a negative light.
Supposedly Giant Healthy Business incurring a lot of reputational damage to Best place to work claim
Looking back over the last year and a half: supposedly setting ourselves up for growth and durability (whatever that means), pulling back on travel, pulling back on new roles, eventually not refilling roles, teams are stressed and overworked, removing dollars for team meetings and culture building (formally culture was important), more and more town halls and Blue pulses - although those meetings and surveys were less and less substantive - saying for the most part nothing. Simply giving the appearance of communication but empty of anything real. Perpetual lack of funding and what is funded is only to minimum viable value, always behind and not addressing technical debt, Anxiety is high, RIF for tenured expensive people short term gain (although with a lot of experience navigating giant enterprise - long term very costly) and now sounds like possibility of early retirement options. For a supposedly giant healthy business it seems far from it. Putting aside the constant exec pay and exec bonus commentary, as a business did the Cigna purchase over-leverage HCSC or are there Convenants in the debt service for that purchase that require certain ratios or performance metrics that should of never been accepted? Should we all be looking for a job now?

# Concerns Raised Over Ethical Practices at Publicis Medical Research Firm Verilogue
A recent report has highlighted troubling ethical concerns regarding Verilogue, a medical research firm owned by Publicis Groupe, focused on pharmaceutical marketing research. The report describes how Verilogue incentivized doctors to record real patient conversations, which were then used to optimize marketing strategies for pharmaceutical products, including opi--ds such as OxyContin.
Lawsuits associated with this practice allege that recorded conversations were used to overcome patient concerns and maximize dr-g sales, contributing to the opi--d epidemic and resulting public health crises. While Publicis and Verilogue maintain these recordings were obtained with patient consent and in regulatory compliance, the use of intimate physician-patient dialogue for commercial marketing exploitation raises significant privacy and ethical questions.
This is especially notable given Publicis' previous opi--d-related legal settlements, including a $350 million settlement linked to its broader role in opi--d marketing. The ongoing use of such research methods could further impact Publicis’ reputation and raises calls for ethical reform in medical marketing.
The situation underscores the tension between legal compliance and ethical responsibility in pharmaceutical advertising practices. Users posting here should note the serious implications for patient privacy and public health tied to these practices.
Optum becoming a toxic brand
I have landed a new job after being laid off at Optum (so there is hope and rest assured there is life after Optum). As I meet new colleagues and mention my background the recurring theme is “I have a few buddies over there and all of them are desperately trying to jump ship” or similar. On the other side, I have had job seeking friends and even a recruiter I used in past reach out and say “I am looking at a posting there but I hear it’s just terrible” etc. it seems anecdotally that word has hit the street and if when this offshoring fails and they try to refill in US it might not even be possible to get anyone good.
T-Mobile Is Full of Liars and Frauds
Everyone internally knows it. Now the rest of the world is finding out as well: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/t-files-lawsuit-against-nad-162100639.html
“In the last four years, the National Advertising Division (NAD) has issued at least 16 decisions finding that T-Mobile's advertisements or other marketing claims were false, misleading and/or unsubstantiated.”
Why are Glassdoor reviews so fake?
Honestly, it's so fake but whatever.
Message from corporate neighbor in Mpls
Just wanted to chime in as one of your corporate neighbors in Minneapolis. This is awful and we are thinking of all of you.
Curious if the comp package of your ceo and executive team will change—this is their mismanagement.
Hang in there, our team is disgusted enough to avoid lunch break target runs for awhile. I don’t think that I will ever spend as freely there again- thought they were good employers and corporate citizens.
It's really about "According to the Customer"
Avaya told one of the largest customer bases in the world to "F-off", except for the 1500 elites. This screams "Invest in Avaya and we'll always have your back, except when it's advantageous for Avaya". So I'm sure after the mass exodus is complete, the customers will have had the final say.
LinkedIn Names Have been Named
Several C-levels called out by name on LinkedIN for bad customer service.
Not the first time.
WE know that they never cared about employees, even less than customers.
Difference is, you can't fire customers. But THEY can fire YOU and claim FRAUD.
Sooo, WHICH C-level will put his tool belt on, and fix this thing, because they know everything better than anyone else?
Oooor, ANSWER the PHONE (gasp) in a call center that has yet another WHINING customer on the phone?
Ooor, claim 'isolated incident' caused by disgruntled ex-employees?
Ooor, [Insert spin here].
Let the screaming (or laughs) begin..
Identity/PR Crisis
Does anyone else feel like targets identity crisis and pr image is as responsible for the decline in sales as anything else? The only thing that makes me think MAYBE there won’t be layoffs is because it really would make Target look sooooo much worse to fire people this close to the holidays and would further perpetuate that image of a company self sabotaging their image. I know they will try to spin it as streamlining and becoming more efficient but I think the public will see through that. The Minnesota nice will fade completely. Any thoughts?
Forbes 875 out of 900 - It’s laughable.

The bottom 5% out of 900 companies. How is that possible.
The company is widely hated by the public due to their bad cell service & customer care.

Our reputation is gone
Long gone are the days when people dreamed of working at Intel. Now we can’t even attract mediocre employees, and the top talent is avoiding us in wide berths. I fear this kind of loss of reputation is irreparable and we’ll be feeling it for a long time to come.
Too funny => CNBC misspells Arvind's name as Arvid on Jim Cramer interview last Thursday
You cannot make this up. See Arvind going by Arvid last Thursday with Jim Cramer. Amateur hour, dumpster fire, imposter syndrome going on at IBM for far too long. => https://www.cnbc.com/video/2025/09/04/ibm-ceo-arvid-krishna-sits-down-with-jim-cramer.html
More clients are FURIOUS at Nielsen!
Michael Mulvihill of Fox says that “Nielsen’s measurement of YouTube NFL game from last Friday will not be made available to other Nielsen clients.”
He calls it “a flagrant departure from Nielsen’s history of transparency and a slap in the face to long-standing clients.” Bottom line? “When it comes to streamers the rules simply don’t apply.”
And don't forget that NFL sent out a scathing notice telling the world that Nielsen is costing them millions of view and dollars.
CLIENTS ARE FURIOUS AT NIELSEN. I won't be surprised when they move to the competition and Nielsen goes the way of Kodak! I also won't shed a tear for Nielsen!
Fido is Walmart
Just saw some short Fido ad on TV, wow it made it feel like you were joining the team at Walmart…raising the standard by lowering the bar.
