Hey Staples folks. Coming from a concerned Walgreens employee that just learned your ex CEO Michael Motz is now CEO of Walgreens. What do we have to look forward to? Is he good, bad? Pros? Cons? Is it all really doom n gloom from here on out? ... — read more

No one's talking about JL and Jeff leaving for Walgreens??

LinkedIn promotions

Cracks me up seeing names of reps and managers being promoted for positions that were terrible in the entry level roles they were hired to do originally due to letting go all of the experienced higher paid team members in lieu of this cheap bad... — read more

Leaving departing

Sgmre sending MR LDGR out the door. Staples to be sold. Hang tight.

Timing of next layoff?

Anyone have any real info about any upcoming layoffs at Corporate, SPP or Quill? Lots of budget scrambling going on. Not looking for comments about leadership or a mystery blackball list.

Layoff and then Rehire

Rinse and Repeat! Staples strategy consists of laying off dept by dept year over year and then rehiring a percentage back. How does this company stay in business and how much psychological warfare should they be allowed to play on the associates... — read more

Layoffs at SPP

What do you think about the changes and layoffs at SPP today?

New Hires STS

New employees being hired or brought into STS and are bringing positive change. Was skeptical at first but they have proven to be uplifting and some have years of sales and support experience

Staples might as well run on ideas from the 90s

New thinking dies fast, usually because it steps on someone's turf or needs teams to actually work together. Push too hard and you're labeled difficult. So people stop trying, and the smartest ones either leave or give in. I used to care. Now I... — read more

No layoff this week?

Seems like whoever posted about layoffs in 3 weeks, which was 3 weeks ago, had some bad data? It usually happens on a Wednesday or Thursday morning and nothing at Corporate this week

AE NEW KPI GOING TO BE REASON FOR LAYOFFS

The new KPIs are just a way for them to have layoffs. The Winramp dashboard is a fu--ing joke. Transactional wins help none of your KPI. The specialist partners also controlling part of our winramp is stupid. If they close it too high that shouldn’t... — read more

Leadership is not a Yes man or woman

The cyber leadership is filled with Yes people (Yes, to their master EC) minus a couple of real leaders. Those true leaders are now in the backburner but the yes people are right in the front. The Yes people are the ones who get all the benefits, LOL... — read more

Staples was going down well before Sycamore took over

There were layoffs in my area starting in 2016. Sycamore came in because Staples was already dying. Of course, they haven't helped, but I am not really sure what would have even turned things around. The Easy button at least takes Staples back to its... — read more

STS to be sold to CDW by Q3

Per senior leadership brief this morning: STS is being sold to CDW in the fall in order to shore up funds for debt payments due this year. If you're in STS, please start looking now with an exit strategy before Labor day.

I’ve never wanted an organization to fail so much

Horrible hiring practices. Recruiting black balling people. Yep, I have the names. This place used to be incredible. Then John Led and Sycamore happened. Then the layoffs started. Decided to go for cheaper not better and laid off rock star... — read more

After ranking layoffs

Upper management is looking at badge in and out again. Habitual offenders will be bounced, no questions and no explanation. They are also comparing badge swipes and how often each associate VPNs into the network. Bloodbath by Labor Day!
