If you are still employed here, and not on a Visa, it's probably not for long. You can do something to stop or even reverse it though. Basically title. Hired mid 2025 and had my review with me receiving an IM. All commentary in the review did not support an IM but here we are.

Anyways, there are two people who report to my bosses boss and they definitely received an “exceeds” on their review.

Do both these things add up to me getting an IM? Should I be worried for mid year or is this standard WF practice?

Are we ever going to get to a point where we won't have to think about the next round before the current one is even properly over?

Is anyone else concerned that poor leadership decisions are putting the whole company at risk? I enjoy my role and my team, but the strategic mistakes are piling up. We need a change in direction quickly.

I guess they 're hoping all of us will be willing to do jobs of three to four people to keep this place running. I really hope we prove them wrong.

My manager told us that Optum Care on the west coast lost over a billion dollars last year, and that we have until the end of this year to break even. I can’t help but think that means layoffs.

It went from a good place with a future to a sinking ship. Management only cares about the stock price, not fixing our old systems or keeping people. The original idea is dead and we're all just waiting for the next bad news.

Is Amazon ever planning to stop? What, does Bezos need another mega-yacht? What the he-l is happening to this place?

I’ve been around long enough to see multiple versions of Nike’s SLT come and go. This one is easily the worst. Even with natural turnover over the years, I’ve never seen a group this ineffective or directionless. There’s no real vision, no sense of how to move the company forward. Even the person at the top seems to be winging it. Hard to see how this ends well. The company feels beyond saving.

I'm not liking the quiet, feels too much like a storm is brewing.

This is crazy 25% of my team on OT was wiped out. Even offshore employees were let go. I'm guessing they will be replaced by bottom of the barrel contractors.

I'm new here, I'm stressing and unable to sleep, so please humor me. How are people notified? I know there's an email notification, but is it then a meeting just with your manager, HR, or somebody else? Is it a whole group at once or one by one? Are people terminated immediately or do you have to stay on for a few weeks? I'm just trying to figure out what to expect.

Once was a time I was proud to work at VZ. In the matter of two short years It turned into a sh-tshow I blame my director for hiring supervisors without a clue in the world how the world works or how to turn a wrench. GET THESE GUYS OUT! p.s. I'm newer to OI... how do they typically let people know that they have been laid off? Is it a last minute meeting? Do you get an meeting invite at the beginning of the day? Are you told individually or is it in groups? Is it your manager sharing the news or is it typically HR? Like all of us- I am nervous!

Anything about BVS (consumer) being affected today or any time soon? Coaches are walking around whispering, apparently they all have 15 mins meetings today. I do not have any calendar invites myself.

There comes a time when we must come to terms with being led by malicious, unethical, psychopaths. Protect yourself, they will eat you tomorrow if they believe they can gain anything.

The date for the first quarter layoffs is set to the first Monday in February. It’s going to be a bloodbath.

Has anyone noticed the cosmetic hours that are partially paid for from Clinique and Estee Lauder being used for the backend of the store? They will schedule someone without letting them know usually they can't get in to the reflexes so it's a no show then those hours are diverted to other areas anyone eles notice this in other Belk stores? It's been reported but nobody does anything to them.

Anybody on H1B visa impacted in this round so far? In previous rounds, no visa folks were impacted, at least on the network org. Seems like company is harboring visa holders, Anybody else feel that way? H1B paperwork involves filling costs, lawyer fees etc. which is opex, If the goal is saving opex....

Anyone have an update here ?
