In many discussions with the Betriebsrat, the executive board noted that they won’t push for layoffs in 2026 as long as the share price is above €150. With the global economy crashing and SAP reducing innovation and its core business to curry favor with American CEOs, the share price will go below €150 in March or April.

I wonder if this means that CK and DA and Gina and others can enact their evil plan of mass layoffs. Because the gains from AI are so dismal, they’ll probably outsource most jobs to other countries such as India.

When do you think these layoffs are coming and in which LOBs and for which roles? My guess is that HR wants to get rid of support engineers and product managers first across most LOBs. And that they will focus on anyone who hasn’t been with SAP for at least ten years as anyone over ten years are seen as loyal. So bye bye acquisition employees.

My understanding is that the cost to repair the building on Veterans was cost po rohibitive given the dwindling employee population. The building is failing in many ways. Unsure why they spent so much money to fix it up in the last ten years. I understand they had the information for at least 15 years. This is a structure issue as much as a "no butts in chairs" issue. But they probably don't want anyone to know that. The building will either be sold to someone who doesn't care about the building issues....or knocked down for new development. Which is also kind of iffy....given the continued drop in employees. Also heard....Atlanta is likely going to close.....makes sense...no parking...no way to access the building...and a difficult employee force....hmmmmmm

For anyone that thinks you aren’t replaceable, ponder this:

How many employees does UHC/Optum ‘really’ need to run business for jobs that can’t be automated or OGS to complete? C&S (Community & State) and a few E&I (only if US employees are required per their contract).

Whatever your answer is, cut that in # in 1/2. Once cuts are complete in Q1 2027, remaining US FTEs will be doing the work of 2-3 employees. Think not? It’s already happening.

A few questions:
How many layoffs have occurred in 2 years? How many teams disappeared?
What happened to their work?
Which depts absorbed it or was it considered irrelevant?
How many GL30+ have left in 2 years?

They cost a bunch right away with severance and other related stuff, and then they hire new people who might be cheaper but are less productive and sometimes need two new employees to cover what one person used to do. How does that somehow equate to savings?

Every day I log in to work and think, why the fu-k am I still here?

The pay sure as he-l isn’t keeping me around. My manager looks like they’re one bad meeting away from quitting, and the people reporting to me are obviously trying to get the he-l out. It feels like I’m standing in the middle of a slow-motion collapse, pretending everything’s fine while everyone else is quietly polishing their résumés.

At this point, it’s hard not to wonder what the he-l I’m even sticking around for.

Have to say, morale is as bad as ive seen it in a decade. Marathon has managed to take a happy and prosperous workforce and completely svck the fvcking life out of it. Gone are the days of site independence, now everything is handed down by corporate edict through 2 year engineers who only know to do what theyre told. I suppose it was bound to happen when the C-suite was more concerned with woke bvllshit and DEI representation for 4 years than running a fvcking business. Its criminal to watch them manage this company right into the ground. All of the new initiatives scream desperation, while employees leave in droves. The worst part is that its paving the way for boot licking goobers to work their way into management roles, solidifying incompetence from the top.

Was amazed how many people were unashamedly prepping resumes at work this week. Can't blame them.

I knew a phenomenal engineer who was in Managed Services. He was a CCIE, multiple firewall certs, cloud experience, you name it, and every customer we mutually worked with always praised him. According to him, management ignored his promotion inquiries so he jumped ship to another company making 40% more and I followed his example.

Maybe CDW only wants average talent?
