TLDR Bait…. How can we fix the work culture?

The saddest part is how a few toxic individuals in each department (in addition with the few HR bad apples being the glue) create this horrible life changing experience for the employees there and it’s totally acceptable.

U.S. Bank use to represent the happiest and best part of my life. Now it’s a dark cloud permanently over me.

Just keep yourself clean and do what’s right.

Stay strong until you make it through the other side for a better whatever. Because you will get there if you understand that karma is real.

Don’t let these sad individuals change you. Don’t let them take away the light and good instilled.

Don’t join the toxicity by ignorantly and blindly hopping on the toxicity bandwagon with a hunger games mentality, feeding off of the clueless “one on of us” mentality hopefuls, where every single person who joins, ends up with regret and filth that will forever leave a stain on your karma, energy, personality, and character.

Say no to living in a world where your everyday work life is spent by pretending to like toxicity in favor of being apart of the “one of us clique mindset” thinking you are playing it safe by being a “boot li---r of toxicity instead of nobleness” or a “teachers pet” falsely believing this attitude will save you from being a target of misery since you are “liked” by the ones who are deeply involved in this toxic workplace culture…. and who sadly hate themselves deep down unknowingly or not because of the decision they made to morally compromise in their choices along the way in their careers.

The likely destination joining the toxicity band wagon to see if you are a fit to have a place among the bad apples is a fools one.

Get off or quite literally jump off of the toxic bandwagon asap.

Sooner the better, your karma will continue to dwindle the longer you stay on, and becoming costlier with each stop.

Don’t sign up for a ride that ends with a destination of finding a clown costume when you arrive at the end of this trip career trip from he-l. Voluntarily or involuntarily.

Don’t waste or spend your indispensable life energy working in a place that creates literally hellish like conditions…. Or at least don’t do it voluntarily.

At the end, you will be left holding the short end of the straw, rudely awoken by being played like fiddle from the toxicity you were aware of, but foolishly thought you would be excluded from.

If you are one of the many good people working here… stay strong and find success by not being a sale out of the morales and values we all have when starting out. The world is a cold place. And right now, so is the work culture at U.S. Bank.

You cant control most events that take place in life, such as getting stuck in this he-l hole… and trying your best just to get by and provide for your family, while at the same time, trying to not become a target here and struggle for your job security in such a toxic time and toxic work place.

Please remember this most important takeaway.

We have control on how we react to events and situations.

Don’t fall for the toxic workplace bait and sign up for a one way trip for your exclusive U.S. bank clown costume.

Don’t sign off your legacy tainted with regret thinking the finish line prize was anything but a clown suite.

Don’t morally compromise and it will somehow work out. Seriously it really will. Have a conscience.

The pendulum will always swing the other way remember that.

Right now, you could be the force tilting the toxic workplace culture pendulum to swing the other way.

The simple formula to advance yourself and change things around in every aspect in life, including dealing with the toxic workplace environment here and exceeding in it at the company by driving your own vehicle to a fulfilling destination of a clean rightfully deserved promotion or advancement in your career.. Instead of foolishly making your way to become a clown.

The simple formula is do good feel good.

Believe in the good of other people.

Hold onto to being a good person knowing that even the smallest of kind acts can make a ground breaking difference in the day of your peers.

Make sure to be real with yourself. Seriously, don’t be a fool lying to yourself about how great of a person you truly are, but in reality you know that clown suit is waiting for you.

Be a good person with good intentions to advance yourself in life….. Advancment in the career latter….. or any kind of initiative in life.

This is proven to work and not a fairy tale or hippy loving vibes.

Plenty of people have reached their rightfully deserved destinations of happiness with this simple understanding of karma.

You will make it through working in such a toxic work environment at U.S. bank and ultimately it will turn out to be a win somehow someway.

Hopefully the ones who don’t have an acquired clown suit in their closet or ones who are not waiting for their very own, can speak up and spread basic human decency, dignity, and respect over the toxic culture plaguing US bank today.

Ending with a note of realism -

Sometimes you can’t soley rely on believing in the good of others.

Sometimes action is required to swing the pendulum back to the correct side.

You have to stand up for yourself and others.

Get a backbone and create an online account using the EEOC public portal and file a complaint if justified.

If you have documented proof of the easily recognizable patterns HR and management make to target and wrongfully treat you then file a complaint with the EEOC.

It is incredibly easy to create an online login in the EEOC portal and file the complaint.

Don’t fear retaliation. I know there are bad apples employed here who are such a liability to the bank because of how clueless they are when it comes down to it.

These bad apples have gone so long without being checked, that they lose touch with reality of how and what they are legally obliged to perform their role at us bank.

If you are a target, know of other people being targeted, you have documented patterns of bad apples, etc……please check and remind these bad apples because the rot is just to dam strong.

It’s really the only tool we have that can make a difference here. Dont be afraid to use it.

Start with googling “EEOC public portal login” and it’s self explanatory from this point.

My coworkers and I are treated like sh*t by catty leaders

What the title says. I see for example how much they pick on someone on our team, anlways giving them the impossible projects, steamrolling, not setting him up for success, dangling promotions that never come but expecting work done way above their pay grade and level.

Oh oh! Don’t forget. Expecting your best people to be forgiving as these same leaders have tantrums and act out of emotion and pride

Even other leaders in our department can tell. Lots of bullying type of behaviors happening

Hostile work environment

Worst culture. No ethics. Body shaming, talk bad about other cultures, harassing juniors, contract workers, women. Comment bad in front of others about their skills and work. No appreciation at all. No satisfaction. Even if you work 9+ hours at office, you’ve to work on weekends and nights to finish the work assignments. No agile methodology used. Sometimes no stories - just do whatever the senior staff says. No mixed culture - they’re scared to hire other culture people. Very very bad

Problem with my manager

It's either personal, or they're trying to push me to quit. Either way, it's become unbearable. I've only been here a year and a half, and I don't really understand the dynamics yet. I'd like to move to another team. Who should I talk to? Just to explore my options, if there are any.

Harassment

Has anyone experienced harassment or different treatment for being g-y, or for being assumed to be g-y?

I’m not out at work, and I’m not completely sure what is going on, but several strange and concerning things have happened that make me feel like I may be getting pushed out. My performance has been consistently strong, but people have suggested I'm on the verge of being let go.

At this point, I do not feel comfortable trusting my management chain, and I think HR might have been involved as well. I’m trying to understand the safest way to protect myself and get help without making the situation worse.

For anyone who has dealt with something similar, did you document quietly and then get pushed out quietly, use an ethics/speak-up channel, or find a trusted senior leader outside your chain of command? Lawyers have told me to stay quiet until something happens on a more concrete level, but I love what I do and don't want to be quietly pushed out only to have to be given the choice between a package and legal action.

Toxic Work Environment

To every employee that endured the toxic work culture at Schwab, circular, unproductive meetings, meaningless tasks, redlined deliverables, Director micromanagement, bullying, and overall low morale, where others take credit for your work and perpetrators inconsistently meet the actual workers expectations I encourage you to walk away, stay clear of this organization and file complaints with the EEOC! Did you know Schwab has ppt. Slides tracking claims against the organization and Hostile Work Environment tops their list.

Have you experienced pressure to quit?

I have real trouble with a new manager. I've been either left out of the work that fits my skillset, or outright subjected to passive-aggressive treatment. I thought it was some personal animosity at first, now I have the impression it's a campaign to make me leave. If that's the case, why not just lay me off? It's not as if my salary makes me worth all the special attention. Have any of you had a similar experience?

Team Lead threatened me with physical violence

A fond memory from corporate Aramco. A few years back, right after COVID, we were overworked and understaffed and had unrealistic goals assigned to our team. When trying to discuss this situation with my Team Lead and finding a proactive solution, he lost his cool and threatened me by saying "we can take this outside if you want?" I was shocked and didn't respond. Just another day in the sand pit.

s-xual harassment

I’m reaching a breaking point with my manager’s behavior. He continues to make inappropriate touching, comments and requests, despite knowing that I’m married(he is divorced). His conduct is unprofessional and unwanted, and it has created a very uncomfortable work environment. I’ve considered reporting it to HR, but I’m concerned about potential retaliation or my work situation becoming even more difficult. Has anyone at EM dealt with a similar situation, and how did you navigate it?

Performance Management 2026

Anyone else feel like this is taking an illegal turn of directions? Constructive discharge and hostile work environments? Instead of just laying people off the normal way, we’ve turned into this…. I hope that everyone affected will utilize their benefits and protect their mental and physical health. Crazy what is going on after the last few years. I guess this is our reward for being loyal to the company.

Team members instructed not to talk to layoff peeps?

I was included in the layoffs and a team member just informed me that our boss instructed the team to have very minimal if any communication with me at all through the 19th and after as well. Anyone else seeing this? Not sure what the reasoning would be behind it we normally just have friendly conversations. 😔

Contractor Misconduct and Labor Law Violations

We currently have a contingent contractor from "1nF0$y$" working in our department. His role appears limited to issuing written instructions to permanent staff, and he does not contribute to any other operational tasks. His primary engagement seems to be attending private meetings with the Senior Director.

The Senior Director originally from India and now a U.S. resident through an H-1B visa followed by marriage to a fellow Senior Manager in the same department is reportedly receiving commissions for onboarding contractors from "1nF0$y$". Multiple sources have raised concerns about this arrangement.

Contractors brought in under this setup often exhibit inappropriate behavior, acting with undue authority and attempting to influence permanent staff. When questioned or held accountable, they respond with hostility and escalate complaints to the Senior Director. In turn, the Senior Director convenes meetings targeting the permanent staff and delivers reprimands, creating a hostile and retaliatory work environment.

These practices raise serious concerns regarding compliance with U.S. labor laws and ethical standards. Immediate intervention is warranted from Human Resources, College Relations, Ethics, and Legal departments to investigate and address these potential violations.
