Yesterday I got called out for not working long enough at my assigned location by someone else who works there. They emailed my boss and told her that I am not respecting the "full intent" of the "How We Work" policy. Apparently I leave too soon after I arrive. WTF? Now we have the internal police force looking over our shoulders and counting the minutes we are warming a chair?

Network tracking on work computer?
Anyone hearing a rumor about moving to track length of time laptop is connected on-premises to a USB network (not VPN)? Been hearing this in unrelated areas over the last few weeks, but it seems far too ‘big brother’. I know they can already track every moment on it, but I can’t imagine they’ll micro-manage this much to ensure RTO compliance to the point of tracking length of time on network. Anyone know more about this to confirm if it’s true?
Yelling is getting monitored
I just saw some discord link and public slack link thread got deleted.
Computers being watched
If you value any anonymity, you should not be browsing or posting here from your work computer.
HR and security teams are monitoring Slack, scanning channels and messages for content related to layoffs, and forcing people to delete messages that they deem unacceptable, citing vague security reasons (there is already one thread where messages were forced to be edited/removed). The same is being done for emails.
Tracking might become easier. Heads up

If you think 8 hours is bad, just wait
Someone posted the other day that this site doesn’t have useful information anymore. Well I’m offering up some right here.
I’ve posted before with insights on RTO being delayed, what the original RTO mandate would look like, how time in office is being tracked, and most recently the stricter 8 hour requirement. All before any of it happened. I’m nobody, but I’m uniquely connected to several people in key roles.
If you’re chuffed at the 8 hour mandate, then you’ll really be up in arms when productivity monitoring metrics start being rolled out. And they will be soon. This is already being tested and will be applied to every LOB. Those who say otherwise are either willfully ignorant or deliberate attempting to hide the truth.
Why am I not on the 8 hour list?
I keep seeing/hearing people say they are on some list for not being in the office 8 hours. If I was on this list would I know? I never do 8 hours, not even 2. As far as I'm aware I'm not on this list, why?
CONFIMRED - ACTIVITY TRACKED
I was skeptical about the 8 hour office hours before, until I got a warning.
People on this forum also warn about activities been tracked, I did not believe it.
Well today , there was a general email about activities been monitored.
Say you go for doctors appt for 2 hours, when you are back you have to spend extra 2 hours.
In summary, your total online activity must be close to 8 hours.
Warning: You’re Being Watched!
A good friend of mine who has inside knowledge shared with me that your company is now 100% monitored.
It's a contracted service, and they are to monitor everything. The threshold for flagging and reporting is at the lowest bar. The service started in October and the service continues to March 2026.
I'm not sure why the sudden mistrust, but it's disturbing to be working under a microscope.
What is the purpose of this?
My source said that I should share with my trusted coworkers, but I don't even know who I can trust anymore.
Facial authentication coming soon.
Just got back from Dreamforce conference in San Francisco. Some of our technology execs were there. New tracking software and authentication software will be rolling out soon. In a nutshell, every device we use for work will have tracking and timestamping abilities.
Don’t get me started with how they’ll be using AI in the company.
Verint - Employee monitoring
Does Verint still get used to monitor employees? If so, is that for everybody or just certain roles and areas?
I see it running on my laptop. But it’s never been brought up to me before in any discussions. Just curious.
Rumor has it that Dell plans to implement a GPS program on your systems.
I heard through the grapevine that there is an NDA project in the works that will allow Dell to install a GPS type program on everybody's computers so that they can monitor if you go to office and for how long. As for remote employees, they will be required to do an on-screen "puzzle" type thing to prove you are still at your computer; once an hour.
Nothing concrete but, this is just what I've heard.
Onsite tracker
New on site tracker posted
Weekly presence report wrong again . . . I know it has only been 39 weeks this year but I think I am seeing a trend!
It was not completely egregioius. There was only one significant error in one day that shorted me about 2 hours. Why is it that every error is in AT&T's favor. The system never over-estimates our time in the office.
Monitoring software on laptops
What tools is Truist using to keep an eye on what employees are doing on Truist laptops? Some departments have Sapience, but I've heard there are other tools being utilized. Anyone know what else is being used and which departments are using them?
How does Keystroke/activity tracking reporting work when on PTO?
Does anyone know how the keystroke and activity monitoring reporting is going to work with PTO? If it’s taking an average does it not consider when you are on PTO (so not working that day/several days)?
Will it count to use our personal device in office?
I know they are tracking work computers in the office. What about personal devices? Can I take a call in the office when I’m in the bathroom? Will this count as activity? Will my score go up or down if I flush? Can they track how many minutes I’m in there via my IP?
ROSE - New platform that replaces VF Calendar but tracks your location on site as well
Get ready fellow Intelites! ROSE is a new platform that replaces the VF Calendar streamlining vacation tracking, improves ahoft visibility, and supports automated alerts and approvals.
Also, admins and managers can track your location.
Good luck to employees who want to defy return to office! Automated micro management at its finest!
How to know if your activities are monitored
Try to delete a folder that has a bunch of files in it (around 100-200M
If that is slow ...you are under surveillance
Compare with deleting that folder on your home computer
SSD access times are pretty much the same.
If you are running the same OS at home then that is your benchmark
Tracking Working Hours
Does anyone definitively know how Wells Fargo is tracking your "working hours"? I hear that the next big layoff is going to target people who are working only 10 to 20 hours a week. I work more than that (I hope) but it got me thinking about how they are tracking it. I have a permanent work from home exception so they cant track me through ID swipes. It just makes me nervous that they might be using a method that excludes me working remotely.
OK People ..... Time to CLOCK IN!!
OK. what I heard is that badging in and out will tell the tale. So is the IP info that your PC is sending (via their spy apps) will also confirm in vs. out. You folks - your time online is monitored. Keystrokes, activity, location of PC, etc. All are subject to reporting IMHO. In this case, they KNOW how much time you are in the office. Its down to things like, "oh but wait, I have to pick up my kids, its snowing!" or "um, my mom just had a heart attack, I need to be by her side", or frankly "your rules su-k, I'm not conforming!". Yep, they don't care. Really. 8 hours a day, monitored, and that is 3 days per week in IT. If you can't do it, you have to file an employee check-in with Workday. yes. its true. Sound like a punch card and time clock?? That's for hourly employees, right? But But But....uh huh. You professionals? Better clock in. NOW.
PSA: Don't use your work computer to gripe on this site
Sapience is installed on you computer. They can see every keystroke and URL you visit.
Hours reporting based on only first and last timestamps
Have it on pretty good authority from a colleague whose team develops the reporting that the hours in office data pull calc will be based upon your last timestamp on WF network minus first timestamp for the day because it would be too complex to subtract people swiping out for lunch, to attend company events, take meetings in adjoining buildings etc. so don’t worry too much if you need to step out for lunch or if you want to attend a company event that is outside the building etc.
Return to office
It has been said time and time again that Return to Office is not mandated. Yet leadership has mentioned that there will be people walking around auditing who is present. Has Cisco gone full on micro managing?
Badge reporting
Does the office report read badge swiped from any reader or just the building badge reader? My building you have to badge to get into the parking lot. Is that counted?
is attendance system work?. Lot of errors in the attendance dashboaed
Are they using attendance record to FMP employees?
AI is watching
In a flagrant disregard for the EU AI act DXC are targeting employees with monitoring data
Watch out your computer sees all you are doing.
Employee monitoring
Does FIS use user tracking software to monitor our activity. I’ve noticed recently that my manager has been messaging me more frequently when it is a slow day. Really makes it hard to enjoy working here.
Activity Reports - Mouse clicks, characters, etc.?
My boss says they are tracking our activity daily and sending reports to leadership. Can someone explain what exactly they are tracking? Has anyone seen these reports?
COP Knows Who you are in these postings!
COP AI looks at your writing style in these posts and compared it to your historical company email writing styles. Yes, you will be fired based on your negative views toward the company and leadership.
I knew it! They are really monitoring this!
The security Veep told a colleague of mine that communications does "monitor" these posts and even shares them with executives and other leaders. It is nice to know that he is talking as much as he does. So if a security danger-thing happens at our workplace and something had not been reported earlier to stop it from happening, we now know that an attorney can demand the emails and prove that they knew there was a problem that would endanger many of us. Thousands of associates on another post liked a post begging for someone to do something. Thousands of us! That was a massive show of support and a cry for help. They did it on layoffs.com because they can't trust to report it internally. He also told a colleague that he and his team now have to report to HR and he doesn't like that because they ask for too much to be done right away while they sit on their a-s. He said they were the ones that "had a part in fu--ing up some of his team's onboarding" which I wasn't sure what that meant. But the main point is we now know they do read these and can be held accountable when it happens.
Badge, Login, and mouse wiggle checks
Will sell more EVs, make Ford profitable and reverse our record number of recalls.
So badge checks are the first check, followed by logins, then mouse inactivity.
Brought to you by our AI Data Analysts and our new Palo Alto designed VPN
Have a nice day y'all
Corporate babysitting
At this point, I’m ready to quit without a backup plan. I don’t understand the need for a company to spy on their employees. I’m sure their controlling energy could be used in a better way?
Wireshark
I hear no one is safe from the data spies anymore and everything is being logged, your eye movements are translated by zoom to reflect your every mood.
Sapience gone, Manual Tracking instead
They're now requiring us to record every task we do with a stop clock for 5 days straight. Its starting with a lot of people in our group. they gave us an excel sheet with tasks they claim are a list of everything we do. the list is missing so many items. you then have to select a task and start a stop clock. you can pause the clock and then start again. we asked what this was for and they said it was to help groups perform better. our offshore people said it's being used as performance tracking. we went to our boss and they said "just complete the form". it's very scary. they don't have everything we do and don't understand what our jobs are but using this to measure us? Why did we get rid of Sapience if we now have to manually track everything we do? We're also being rushed to complete this and some people can not use the tracking sheet because it's broken and they had to start all over. Even though they had a reason it was not completed they're getting requests every day asking if it was done. What is going on here? Why are they making everyone track down to the minute when none of this is right compared to what my actual job is? This feels like they're trying to decide who to fire next but doing it with partial information.
Are other groups being asked to do this??
Big Brother Watching
Anyone know what ‘big brother’ uses to watch us or what they’re looking for? Besides looking for more reasons to lay people off.
Are they Monitoring 8hrs in Office?
are they tracking vpn 8hrs in office? Do they have that much ability to track? It was mentioned they will caught the coffee badging people on weekly basis.
HQ Security Cameras increased
Starting today they’re installing additional security cameras at Framingham HQ. This is out on the portal but wasn’t sent via email communication.
Wondering what the reasoning is. Why spend money when they’re planning layoffs all the time??
Surveillance state
Sometime in 2020 with pandemic closures, the company installed monitoring applications on laptops that randomly captures screenshots and reported meta information. Then came tracking the badge swipes at doors to ensure that all employees ordered to return to the office, did so and did so on time. IT can report how long you spend on Zoom calls, emails, spreadsheets, salesforce or if you’ve got blank space in your calendar. They’ve reportedly started tracking mobile phone location data for all employees- including once exempt sales and admin staff. If you have a company phone, and don’t live in Cali, you are now most likely in the surveillance crosshairs. Enjoy eating lunch or leaving at 5:01 pm knowing that your location is being watched. What’s next a loyalty test?
