Had a typically early morning lay off meeting today but they said it was a warning that we will likely be laid off in 45-60 days. What does that mean? Is that a 60 working notice or in 45-60 days I’ll get an official notice?

I've been monitoring this site for the last month or so. I'd like to ask whomever knew the actual details (dates, we'll get email to WFH next week, etc) to come back & post what we can expect on Tuesday. Will everyone getting a meeting invite - one group who are laid off & other who are not (at least not this round)? Will it be by pyramid? And why Tuesday? Why not just do it yesterday? Did MF send the email on Thursday because the rumor was growing or was that the plan all along? We didn't get a heads up in 2015, so while I guess it's nice to know it's coming, 5 days notice is just too long.

Are y'all ready for the layoffs? Only 1 week to conclude FY25. It also means we have only 1 week before getting kicked out.

Or are we still in rumorland? I’ve been hearing similar things, but nothing certain.

15% RIF across the board, notice on Nov 20, off payroll Dec 19 is what we were told.

had a meeting with scott toller and HR rollingon will not go past 2026. Facility is relocating to forth worth. Everyone got a letter will have 60 days prior to closing. Time to look for a new job fellas.

I've had friends in other companies who gave their notice, only to be terminated on the spot. The professional thing is to give notice, but I am afraid that if I do, I will be let go on the spot.

A colleague told me they got some sort of pre-notice (working) of ~30 days before they were going to get an official notice of 60 days (non-working) in the near future. I've only heard of something like this in broad locations getting displaced and NOT individuals. Is this new or just very unique situation? EVERY individual I've known displaced prior was immediately non-working.

so yeah, no more oldsmar campus. they're closing out remaining departments and moving to maryland. just got 2 weeks notice.

Does the relocation package offering follow the same Tuesday after pay week timing like the layoffs, or is it different? Still a 30 day period to decide on relocation package offering accept or decline?

Any other comments from someone having recently gone through this is welcomed.

Hello all, the notice period and amount of severance pay vary from country to country. I was wondering if you received notice period and severance pay according to the law in your country or did Oracle provide you with an extra package beyond the law?

I got summed to my managers office yesterday, no warning nothing , HR walks in sits down and here we go again., 3 months notice from today after 8 years of service, the worst package that they could possibly offer , total joke of a company, Potentially 15% going next 6 months they said with more next year. Get out while you can.

I work in a back office operation (50K-plus, no bonus, no client facing). If I just up and quit with no notice (other than on the day via letter, per se), there’s nothing they can do, right? What happens if you quit BEFORE using any vacation days? I am quitting with a view toward retirement/no more work.

Anyone actually work their 2 weeks?

If someone gets displaced say on Tuesday, August 19, does that mean they can interview for a job but tell the prospective employer they can start on October 20th? 61 days after the displacement..
