Looks like Ramon is making all locations take down signage that says Frito-Lay to rebrand as PepsiCo Foods. He took our profits, might as well take our identity!
Ramon doesn’t need more branding, he needs a therapist.

We need to change the Xerox logo to Lexmark Green so that it doesn't think people of all the bleeding of money and people that is happening. Green is a much more positive color.
Until Nike has product that isn’t ugly I think we should layoff a lot of the brand marketing function. Thoughts?

Converse employees were told to work from home this week. Layoffs and restructuring are expected at the brand. Converse CEO Aaron Cain sent a note to employees about the changes. The Boston-based brand reported a 30% drop in quarterly sales. These actions are part of Nike CEO Elliott Hill's turnaround plan.

Would a boycott of Apple actually happen, or are folks too enamored with their gadgets to care? Is Apple a progressive company, or just a capitalist company? I was planning on upgrading a number of devices this year, but this made me think.

Before the DXC Q3 earnings call begins grab your DXC Bullsh-t Bingo card and listen closely for the following phrases:
“Strategic realignment under the new brand”
"AI-enabled transformation”
“Strong pipeline”
“More to come as the brand matures”
“We’re pleased with the progress”
Anyone else thinks the offerings are getting cr-ppier than factory stores?
Years later and this abomination of a name is still struggling to gain traction. News flash, it never will. We’re never going to make progress with this name. It drags us down like an anchor and reflects poorly on both shareholders and teammates. In all these years, I haven’t met a single person outside the bank who doesn’t mock it. Even today, years later, the legacy names still have greater brand recognition and consumer trust - and they don't even exist anymore. Leadership needs to grow a pair and change back to one of the legacy names, even if it is to have a corporate structure like Meta/Facebook. I am a legacy teammate, and I don't care which one. Just pick one. They are both good names.
Cingular was not a good name either
Anyone remember the Super Bowl Commercials? People at the Super Bowl party looked at me like Huhhhh? Makes no sense....Self Expression.
All SBC ideas. That same cement head dense culture exists today.
I heard about this on our layoff page for my company and how y'all had 100,000 hits on one thread and like 4000 employees asking for your help. I came on here to look and didn't plan on commenting and wondered how y'all let this get this out of control and hurt so many of y'alls employees when this looks like an easy thing to do to gain y'alls employees trust again. Then I remembered the name of y'alls company and called my friend in our procurement and sure enough, y'all are a supplier. So now they are looking at this thinking they shouldn't be. Bless y'all but it seems like y'all should listed to your employees and take care of them. This is just not needed and it hurts what we call your 'brand'. SMH
Nearly a billion in costs for rebranding has really turned the company around! All my friends neighbors and family love the new color and tell me all the time how they my employer, netflix. Thanks Leslie!
We’ve spent a lot of time polishing ads, colors, and confusing campaigns for clover, but very little time shaping what our name stands for. Brand isn’t the shade of orange we use. It’s the instinctive belief customers have about whether we’re reliable. Right now, too many people see our name and expect inconsistency. It’s like the difference between a car company you trust and another you don’t trust. Whether or not the perception is fair, one brand is trusted and the other isn’t. Until we deliberately cultivate reliability as part of our identity, no campaign will overcome that perception.
Something to sound like an AI start up? OpenText as a brand sounds old and not sure how many companies associate us with successful AI.
So why am I being told to turn in any Verizon gear like branded cloths that were given to me.This seems wrong .They said you can dispose of or turn it in.But we are not supposed to be wearing it after our departure from the company.Seems oddly childish
So no they are not laying off field techs .Infact they are actually Hiring like crazy .The reality is that long ago the company 1 focus turned solely to wireless which we all knew was not gonna be forever. All while turning their back on the back bone bread and butter of wireline that fed their cell towers served their longtime customers towns buisness. This also was bad for wireless since if you been beaten up and abused by a company on wireline you be your not gonna go buy a wireless plan from them.Next they spent more money and time on hiring Managers upon managers to waste time trying to micromanage the people actually doing the work everyday .We now have brand that’s been beaten down has a bad look.Too much management most of who know nothing .All managing a smaller work force with less customers .Hence Layoffs

They didn't use the new logo....I wonder why
An its a lease...
What's the impact on Owned Brands?
saying 'design is our north star' while utterly gutting OB sends the opposite signal to both our teams & guests... this can work a bit, but eventually this will cost us big time. i do not want to rant about this too much as today is a very difficult day for many but i am just saying that this will sink us even deeper and it will trigger even more layoffs.
It feels more like influencers company at this point. We spend so much marketing dollars on something that doesnt benefit the brand in the long term
I mentioned where I work during an outing this weekend, and someone actually asked what that was. He was young, maybe early 20s, but can you imagine a decade or so ago someone not knowing about Xerox? I wasn’t offended or anything, but if there’s ever been a sign of where the company stands now, that was it.
Instead of wasting M's on Total Wireless and other cr-p brands, why are we not focusing on Verizon and that brand's problems! We have no prioirtiy in this company.
Would be to go on and move all into the hubs and start over. Voluntary exit all wfh employees and get this show on the road. Half in and half out is ki-ling the company. Maybe if they go all in on the hubs they can rebuild the brand.
Did we hear Stephen correctly say HS brand wins, no more Blue Medicare?
Does anyone have any idea what they will be doing with owned brands?
That is the BIG outlet among Nike outlets.
And I am surprised to say the least.
There were Jordans, Dunks and AF 1 by tons.
I thought that I died and went to heaven but then I realized that would have been true 10 years ago
I saw AJ 1, AJ3, AJ4, AJ5, AJ8, AJ12 wow.
Dunks in too many colors to mention ditto for AF1
I thought that the game plan is produce little bit of retros to get people excited and come out with new style for mass sale.
What is EH doing?
he is ruining the brand!!
Historically, Nike had impeccable timing of using relevant SuperStar of the moment and help them lead to next level.
I will go back as far as John McEnroe, Jordan, Barkley, Carl Lewis, Mary Slaney, Joan Benoit Samuelson, Mark Allen, Bo, Lebron, Kobe, Durant, Serena ...
And disgraced ones like Lance, Tiger, Marion etc.
I apologize if I missed someone
But today, when I look around there is no one that have charisma and appeal of athletes above.
Basketball: Jordan is retired for long time and not getting young. A baby born when he made that shot against Utah would be 28 today.
Lebron: played 22 years and about to retire
Durant: same story as Lebron. About to retire.
Kobe; retired and passed away.
Who is new blood in basketball space for Nike.
Baseball: Last time Nike had any significant endorsee was Griffey and Barry Bonds and that was long time ago. They invested on Trout but the guy was hurt for 3 or 4 season and this was first that he played full in a long time
Football: Nike controls football but they never had anyone that lead the category. Last one was Deshawn Jackson. I think
Track: They have some winners but no SuperStar material. Sidney Mcglaughlin Levrone is good candidate but she is NB girl. Nobody significant in sprinter category for boys and girls.
Tennis: Basically nobody since Serena retired
Golf: They have endorsees but nobody in the category of Tiger
Soccer: Originial Ronaldo has been retired for long time.
And Cristiano Ronaldo is about to retire, playing in senior league of soccer in Saudia Arabia.
As you can see there is no one significant icon leading Nike now. That is the problem.
Their Icon now Kim Kardashian. Wow. A girls made herself big through surgery.
I hope I made some sense in issue with Nike
Waiting for Avaya to get acquired by some big tech giant so I can proudly write in my resume, “Avaya now acquired by XYZ.” Because right now, no recruiter seems to recognize the brand, and my phone’s been awfully quiet.🥹😅
and not impressed.
Seems like all they are trying to do is emulate Lululemon.
That game is well played out and perfected by Lulu.
As usual with Nike these days "it is dollar short and day late"
I keep seeing that Ellison has pledged to keep and invest in brands like BET.
Can we bring back the Eddie Bauer Explorer? Lol
Here comes Kim K to save the brand! Huge shoutout to Ray J. None of this would have been possible without your hard work. IYKYK.
Btw… think back to a year ago… who had a kardashian collab before Caitlin on their bingo card??
Part of the new branding coming. How they will hide the recalls is up for debate.
Speaking of d-mb acronyms: What does “fields of play” mean anyway?
Tennis and basketball are played on a court. Running happens on a trail or track. Even in soccer (football) the playing area is more commonly referred to as a ‘pitch.’
This is the kind of inane rebranding that resulted in losing our focus and did zero to stem the loss of market share.
I applaud the move back to aligning with Sport. We should NEVER have left the category offense.
Once this is over hopefully this will allow us to all row in the same direction. And hope that it’s not too late.
Just saw the Meghan Trainor SF commercial. Can SF get any more ghetto or low rent? I guess they are targeting the 2040 population just like the 2040 workforce. It's embarrassing SF! I wonder why were are #2. #2... that basically sums up everything at SF. The work environment and company smell likes, looks like, and feels like #2. Our commercials are pure #2 just like our Exec leadership!
Just saw some short Fido ad on TV, wow it made it feel like you were joining the team at Walmart…raising the standard by lowering the bar.
Shocked! No posts on the Celsius news. Great things for Pep. A lot of $$$$$ spent on this deal and giving away Rockstar?
So many are still joining, drawn in by what Intel used to be. I wish they'd realize this company now only carries the legacy of something better it once was, and the reality is completely different.
