I understand April 14 is the key date for layoffs across IRM and Internal Audit. Does anyone have any insight? How many people will be affected?

From what I can see, the brunt of it was yesterday with a few leftovers today. Can we consider it done?

Shell announced it will sell Jffy Lube to PE for $1.3 billion. Short term gain for long term loss. What happens in 15-20 years when the Pennzoil supply agreement ends? What then?

Anyone able to confirm that?

My SVP told me 1k employees will be RIF’d and 1k will transfer out.

Non-Core layoffs, who's actually been affected?
I'm a US-based remote employee in an SMBC Non-Core unit. I was certain I'd be laid off, but the axe hasn't fallen on me or several peers.
Is this a real stay of execution, or just a holding pattern before they sell us off?

We are all sad to see our brilliant coworkers leave this week in the US and around the globe. Is this round finished? If so, when will be the next round? We all need to get prepared for the next impact now.

Yesterday we understood from the call that EVERYONE in the PS,CIO , DEV (except a few people) will be moving to 3rd party companies or let go, but today many people from all impacted groups are already retained, was this poorly communicated or they wanted everyone to feel the threat(then feel grateful?) feeling bad for those who moved or laid off, wishing you the very best .

Even without any rumors, even without any announcements, all I can think about every single day is what's going to happen if I lose my job to cuts. I wasn't like this before, I swear. But with all the small and large cuts in the last few years, I think they broke something in me.

After 15 years of time at State Farm, 3 CEOs, COVID, work from home, hybrid, and whatever comes next - I can safely say that this company is absolutely sc--wed. June 1 (in the middle of summer) parents and grandparents have to find people to watch their kids. Virtual employees don’t pay for gas, don’t have to pay to go to work, don’t have to waste time commuting - but sc--w the rest of us. I genuinely hope Progressive pulls away, Geico passes us, and honestly Allstate (because they do 100% virtual). Need a class -action lawsuit against these id--ts! FIS mgmt. should be the folks leaving not the hard working class. I am betting we'll be forced to accept roles with Cognizant to keep a paycheck coming in only to get sc--wed within a year from now. Betting it is the way FIS gets around paying severance packages and Cognizant will get their cut. I am highly irritated with the manner if which they handled their business, and we are all being lied to by managers saying they had no idea, when we know they were included and had likely had to sign off. Dell only cares about storage followed by AI servers, nothing else matters. The traditional server business has almost been destroyed and I am guessing that it will soon lose its number one standing in the industry. I am certain that Dell does not care and the people associated to these products will eventually be let go. SAD!!!

People that were laid off were lucky. They are no longer subjected to nonsense like this.

In the last five years, we went from nearly 120k employees to just under 90k. When is it going to stop? Is there a goal to reach or do they just plan to keep cutting indefinitely?
