CenterWell Riffs

I just lost my job with CenterWell Home Health. Just went through this with Optum in January. Auth Dept hit, I'm in Billing/AR and they wiped us out basically. Blindsided. Supervisors, managers had no clue, left in the dark. Oh, that's because they kicked them out the door as well. Good luck offshoring work. They all do such a great job....NOT.

Wonder about fallout when it’s discovered AI is not what it’s hyped to be

We’re already seeing data showing AI is far from what was promised. Everyone rushed to adopt the latest corporate fad, but it simply can’t do what they claim. I’m not naive, AI has mostly been an excuse for layoffs. But with how deeply it’s being forced into everything, the cracks will show fast once its limits are hit and its true capacity exposed.

How has NIKE avoided the Oregon WARN list?

We've been through a lot this year.
Lots of pockets and smaller waves.

It's paid off, they've managed to keep it under wraps this year.

Known Layoffs in 2025:

  • 300 SEC (May 15)
  • 480 Global Tech (June 10)
  • 150 WHQ - IDSA, NAO, Ops, Marketing, DSM (Sept 2)

Not to mention the dozens of one-offs throughout the year.

Nike conducted several small layoffs in staggered batches.
Which must have all remained under the reporting threshold for each wave.

They strategically timed reductions to avoid hitting the “mass layoff” definition.

These are conservative and confirmed numbers impacted.

What other teams, domains or dates are missing from above?

What does it say about this place that people hope to be let go

Especially in this economy. The mix of defeat and dread overshadows everything, even the fear of not finding another job or the financial mess that might follow. The worst part is that there’s no payoff to look forward to, no source of motivation to offset the grind. Just the constant likelihood that you’ll lose your job anyway.

Check your Emails!!!

Subsea layoffs it's official now! Moving folks into one regional group most likely off shore!
Leadership Failed Us and lost the contracts and all have received their Golden Parachutes while the rest of us Peasants deal with the crumbs and fight for little of what's left. Brace yourself winter is coming!

Fiverr cuts 250 jobs as CEO declares shift to AI-first strategy

Fiverr announced on Monday that it will lay off around 250 employees, or roughly 25% of its workforce, as part of a sweeping plan to transform the company into what its founder and CEO Micha Kaufman described as an “AI-first” business.

Layoffs hit everyone now

There was a time when only underperformers were at risk, but that’s long gone. You can get a pat on the back today and be cut tomorrow. It’s stressful to always wonder if you’ll be next, and it makes showing loyalty feel pointless. Hopefully, the job market improves and we can all leave before being kicked out.

Network Organization L1/L2 Layoffs 4Q

Sat in on my L3 call given he was out PTO. AVP has announced network wide large cut of L1/L2s across Anatomy, Leggy, and Greendick organizations. Capex/Expense being cut for automation given known reduction in workforce. End of payroll is before EOY. No preferential treatment for Dallas and Atlanta employees. Sorry to those that recently moved.

RTO is old news. Yes we have returned to BAU cuts.

If We’re Calling BS, Let’s Start With Verizon’s Own Playbook

Fair enough, Leslie and Angie. But honestly, the real BS at Verizon hasn’t been the outside noise — it’s been the inside story. Years of layoffs, a wireline business that’s basically gone, and leadership that’s lost the plot. That’s what people are reacting to.

So what’s the deal with these pin heads?

So did all updates stop at 2020 ? What happened everyone scared to share information ? What the company has an NDA everyone or something ?

I heard these weirdos trying to down size some are sharing it some are not, some are trying to be sneaky about it.

It will get really bad around here

The worst part is knowing this won’t be quick. It’ll drag on and put everyone more on edge by the day. Most of us are just clinging to the hope of keeping our jobs, because opportunities out there are slim to none. That alone will fuel frustration and anxiety. I’m not looking forward to it, neither for myself, nor for all of us who’ll be stuck in a horrible atmosphere that could last a long time.

CFPB Warns Staff Of Possible Layoffs As Funding Cap Looms

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) warned employees last week that workforce reductions may be necessary to meet new Congressional funding limits, according to an internal email described in press reports. The message asked staff to keep their résumés updated and noted that a formal restructuring remains on hold pending court outcomes, but that a reduction in force is under evaluation to align with the smaller budget, Reuters reported.

Rumor: Upcoming layoffs in Fraud department

There’s a heavy feeling of dread and uncertainty in the fraud call center. Employees are posting out to other jobs or going out on leave. Directors and upper leadership are silent but we know they must notice what’s going on too. I hate to feed into a rumor but the silence is loud.

Q3 Dermie Lie Fest (Right?)

Please mark your calendars for the next Dermie PŌM event, which will take place on September 25th. Our esteemed CFO will be delivering remarks on various topics, including his increasing personal wealth and the effectiveness of the PŌM model in leveraging costs without relying on an experienced U.S. workforce. He will also address how we thrive together with strict RTO policy controls, seating assignment charts and the sudden non-performance of 25% of the BNY global workforce

Furthermore, he will convey his deep personal regret regarding the strategic realignment and why it means that your job and mine may no longer be needed. This should be an interesting and informative session, so I encourage everyone to attend and listen to what he has to say.
