MHS Indiana
I have an opportunity with MHS Indiana, however these post make me rethink my decision to take the position?
Blocked from applying to lateral ORCM internal posting
Why do we still publish internal job postings if managers can still easily block someone and prevent them from being considered for the role?
And more often than not, the roles are prefilled with an internal candidate but posted anyway.
There’s organization including ICs are aware to this, to the point that when considering whether to apply, the first question to the hiring manager is “is this an actual position, or is it already backfilled?”
Pre-EISP positioning?
Just stumbled across this really; cross-checking rumors and such.. I was uploaded 3 months ago.
Anybody else seen local CFA's pre-positioning? Wall hangings, emails?

GVP Position Eliminated
It’s getting harder to survive in a GVP role. Now with the elimination of a GVP role (mid-atlantic) that’s more work for an already strained team. Dilute the support, dilute relationships and dilute the outcome! :(
CL Level
Is there anyway to know where you are in your CL level? My manager says that he can’t see where I am in reference to my CL, and doesn’t know who to ask to find out.
Layoffs at Kearl
Who knows who all is going to be laid off at Kearl? Which positions, depts etc?
Existing site based non-wage positions are also affected.
From another thread:
900 Calgary campus employees gone. The remaining folks will be shipped to the manufacturing sites primarily Strathcona (Edmonton).
Some site folks (non wage) are to be replaced by higher performing folks from the Calgary move. Redundant positions especially in the mid to higher CLs at the sites to be replaced with Calgary folks that have been working global roles.
Club Enhancement Lead
Anyone have thoughts or suggestions on this position?
Job market
Is it really as bad as people are saying? I've been looking for the past few days and there are plenty of good positions available, which confused me. Are these real or are they just placeholders?
Top earners & folks getting close to their 20-year pension
They say they’re eliminating positions, but over the past 16 months, it’s become clear that long-tenured employees—especially those close to 20 years of service and eligible for pensions—are being systematically let go. Higher-paid leaders have also been removed. There seems to be a clear trend of replacing experienced, older employees with younger, less experienced hires who cost less. The current leadership has created a toxic environment, and the company appears to be in decline.
Team and position
Do we have an idea of the teams most likely to be affected (OCI / OCC / support / ...) and the type of position (sales / pre-sales / support / ...) to anticipate the EEA layoffs?
TIREMAN GONE, HONEYMAN GONE, TIME TO SEARCH OUTSIDE OF 3M AGAIN
With Honeyman gone, some 3Mer's might be interested in the honeyman position. 3M leadership will go outside of 3M because 3Mers are viewed as incompetent, good worker bees but not leadership material. The longer you are at 3M, the less likely you will be promotable. A longtime 3Mer is a future job elimination. 3M wants non-3M experienced leaders. The non-3M experienced leaders have been so impressive. Let the search begin.
Macy's executives
Is Macy's freezing Manager positions? Going into Q4???
Negotiating Salary/Benefits Package as Internal Candidate
I work at U.S. Bank right now and got offered a new internal position. questions are:
- How successful have fellow internal folks been at negotiating salary? Any tips on how to maximize salary without going overboard?
- Has anyone been able to negotiate their vacation package (e.g., 2 weeks to 3 weeks) or any other benefits?
- any other areas that other internal folks have been successful at negotiating?
For context, I was offered around $65K which I feel is low and $80-85K is more in line with industry and based on my skills. Thanks for any advice you might all have.
