Do you answer or just respond when you get back? I feel like I’m being pressured because they have sent two emails knowing I am on pto this week. Why do people do this? I have my ooo message on and my calendar blocked for a reason.

How are we supposed to hit these deadlines?
Senior leaders keep making top-down decisions without understanding our day-to-day work or what our customers actually need. They’ve significantly cut the team and then turn around and expect the same impossible deadlines with far fewer people. Cue shocked Pikachu face when we can’t physically get it done.
Have any of you had a positive experience with the job search?
I’ve been looking for another job for months now, partly as a precaution and partly because I really need a change. But it’s incredibly depressing out there. I’ve been genuinely trying, and I’ve managed to land a grand total of one interview. Has anyone had better luck?
Would I be safer from layoffs as a telecommuter or as an office employee?
I'm technically assigned to an office but never go in. About half of my team is assigned to an office and the other half are officially remote, but we all work from home every day. I'm thinking of asking my manager to switch me to a telecommuter in order to protect me from a potential upcoming RTO mandate, but I'm wondering if becoming a telecommuter would actually increase the chances that I get laid off.
Internal Req put on hold
Anyone mid internal hiring process and notified that the req has been put on hold? I had an interview scheduled for early January but now it is cancelled. Is this just to see if the position will be eliminated?
Schulman, re., WFH and upward mobility (i.e., promotability)?
Schulman, what is the policy for the enterprise to work-from-home and to promotability when working from any of the Verizon locations?
Let this sink in…
2018 AT&T Buys Time Warner for $85 Billion
2022 AT&T Sells to Discovery for $43 Billion
2025 Current Bids
Netflix - $72 Billion (Studios/ Streaming only)
Paramount - $108.4 Billion (Entire Company)
The AT&T architects of this deal either got promoted or received a golden parachute for losing over $50 BILLION of shareholder value. And then there was the DTV deal…
Your plan for your payout? 💰💰💰
We should receive our severance payout in a few weeks. I’ll pay off a few bills and horde the rest. You?
401K Withdrawals after leaving Dell
I am over 55. If I leave Dell by layoff or my own decision, will I be able to choose whether I an withdraw from Fidelity's traditional 401k or the Roth? Or do they just have one bucket split proportionally?
How can anyone stay invested when it means nothing?
Hard work and dedication clearly don’t pay off, and layoffs are always looming. Why should anyone care about the outcomes? Worse, from what we’ve seen over the years, the better you are at your job, the higher the chance you’ll be cut. And god forbid you actually show professional integrity.
Is this how layoffs will go down?
January 22 is the announcement. Lots of projects will rush in the first three weeks of the year to get done. If you're getting unusual pressure to complete projects by that deadline, it's part par for the course, part because you're out. Those in the know and sticking around are squeezing every last minute of work from USA-based teams.
It's so big I don't know how we avoid WARN, legal must have convinced themselves that WFH = each residence is a job site. Interesting to see how we avoid WARN with RTO - only way I see is future layoffs are to remote workers.

Flexible schedule
Any word if flexible schedules will be eliminated 2026? It’s one of the biggest incentives the company currently offers.
Gold or silver?
How do you find out which stores are good/silver stores?
Who decides the training catalog?
What an inordinate amount of training. There's 1-2 literally due every week. Sometimes it's 6-7 per month. In Dec alone, I have done 6 so far. No one learns anything like this. Some id--t somewhere is checking the boxes, and the entire firm is going along with it. What is this show for? Regulators? I've been at other banks. No one has such a busy training schedule
What is the future of Quaker ?
Many of their operations are ancient , but long since payed for . Al lot their growth is coming from crispi minis , which are chips .
Field Reps! How’s it going?
So I’ve been gone a year now as a field rep and when I left SMP had just rolled out. I remember having to adapt to the new hybrid position but was curious how much has changed since then. I do know reps had to take on quite a few more homes and wasn’t sure how the field was going to get everything done. Is management at least offering overtime and scheds/flags/some faults done remotely to help keep down the hours? Hope all of the field reps are doing well, a good life-work balance and aren’t overly stressed. Best wishes to you all! Thank you.
Shift rotation change
Is anyone else having to change up their weekly shifts, to rotating, so that someone is working everyday? Instead of Monday thru friday?
What is Kaveri Camire upto these days?
She was on fire the first few days after joining and completely dead these days. Or is it just another top exec being paid millions for nothing.
How much is merger going to sc--w us?
We can safely assume it won’t create more jobs. Probably the opposite. But just how bad is it really going to get?
4-day RTO starting in Q2?
Is this for real? Have they even figured out the logistics yet?
So what’s the deal with VRP?
Some rumors say there won’t be any at all, others say it’ll be offered across multiple orgs before layoffs hit. Can anyone actually confirm which is true?
Whats in the VRP?
What’s in the VRP? I’m 55 so do I get access to my 401k without penalty? What about stock? 2 weeks for every year of service?
Are they gonna sweeten the deal?
How bad does Oracle s*ck?
I mean does it s*ck really bad?
Or does it s*ck really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, bad??
So we’re totally sc--wed starting in January?
If the rumors are true, not only will there be a major reorg with entire teams vanishing, but massive layoffs across the board too. Oh well, it’s not like I ever thought my job here was secure, and I don’t like it enough to be upset about losing it anyway.
Is anyone actually willing to relocate?
Relocation is insanely costly these days, and the chances of keeping your job after uprooting yourself and your family are extremely low. It’s just another attrition tactic. Refusing to relocate plays into leadership’s hands, but going along with it is even more senseless.
Marketing
How is Brady still in charge of marketing with these silly commercials?? Embarrassing.
Raise without promotion?
I've worked and pushed extra hard for my in-seat promotion all year, after years on team and at same low C-level trying to get my AVP which I see as finally earning your stripes within Citi.
I've done pretty well with raises the past couple years and pretty sure I've got to be maxing out my salary in the undisclosed 'salary band(s)'. Been getting signals that it's looking pretty positive for this new year also, but no sign or mention of promo.
Is it possible to be earning within the next band without the badge?
Agile Flex
Can anyone explain the current status of this? It is still stated as a working arrangement, but have people on it had to move to 4 days?
Also, if you were on agile flex but a people manager, do you have to do 4 days or is agile flex still an option?

What have annual raises been in the past and what are we expecting this year?

2 job offers - Dell vs another company… US
I have been trying to decide which job offer to accept and have been using this forum to try and understand salary structure and promotion opportunity. From what I can see, it seems like once you accept a job at Dell you are stuck with minimal pay increases unless you apply for a different internal role. Is that correct?
- Am I best off pushing hard for my starting salary since it won’t change much?
Does the salary I’m offered impact colleagues yearly bonuses and pay increase?
Additionally, is there any other important information around salary I should know?
Lots of hiring and new roles uk and emea
Why has there been so much hiring and new roles this month especially in sales and commercial roles ??
Also why have we hired soo many SAP skills cant remember the last decent SAP win in the uk?
Rehire after layoff?
Does ford rehire after being laid off? I signed a severance agreement which mentioned a no rehire clause. Is there a time limit? Or is it a permanent ban in the system?
