Regardless of how you think about whether we should have the GT EMEA group or they’re helpful, productive, etc, etc. this isn’t about it.

Yesterday I was taking to a teammate in there, and they told me the GM sent a video where he says they’re targeting to execute the layoffs around early to mid NOVEMBER. That’s almost 8 months after everything started and ~4 months after we had ours.

Can you imagine working that long knowing there’s something coming from across the globe to hit you? How on earth you get motivated to do your job? Your counterparts already moved on, got promoted, fired, lateral moves whatever. And you’re there reading that “EMEA is in a different timeline” sentence in every comms from the company (they told me this line is basically an internal joke over there).

Some people are guessing what’s gonna happen but others already know because they lost their counterparts on other goes, so the writing is in the wall.

I do have a lot of reservations about the EMEA team, but damn, Nike isn’t helping the cause here. Dragging for that long? Unfair is the nicest word I can think of.

Hope all ready for the upcoming October-December RIF.

Any rumours on what this will entail? They're saying it's not a cost saving exercise, which I highly doubt.

Layoffs are not the only problem as the clients are having a bad experience with this company. Rumors are some services are going to be dropped

Rumors are swirling they are shutting down the building on Wooten in Wilson, NC and moving them elsewhere. Is this true? No one is hardly in the building anymore. Either laid off or WFH.

Anyone else who has been required to come in lately notice how nasty the work spaces have gotten? In building 2 the break room is filled with dishes covered in days old food and the fridge smells like mold.

Desks are all strewn with trash and none of the computer peripherals work.

Bathroom smells like a babies diaper.

My college dorm was cleaner than this, anyone have any idea if they laid off the cleaning staff too?

There was supposed to be some sort of big meeting or announcement 10:00 a.m. the other day. What is the news from that?

I love how fake the PGL's are these days. They look at you with a fake blank look on their faces knowing what is about to happen. Everyday when I arrive at work, I have the feeling that it is my last day. Someone in security let out that they have an assignment in a couple weeks at the JRC. Gee, what could that be. Why are layoffs so taboo, what not prepare the employees now, so they can look for a job. Instead of dumping them on the spot without notice.

My challenge to the leadership at JRC, stop hiding behind your tailored suits. Stop giving us your fake smile and hand shake. Go to your employees within your group and tell them what's to come.

Seeing a lot of Permian leadership in SUVs around Civitas field. Will this be a good purchase?

Looks like one less C producer to be sold in the Permian basin. Exxon would benefit from the uplift and diversity of locations.

Will a purchase make sense? Chevron is seeing some issues in the Permian basin. This purchase would uplift production quickly and reduce the need for drilling.

There is a rumor floating around from multiple sources that the bank is looking to cap severance at couple of weeks. Has anybody heard anything about this?

How much are they going to gouge us for? Rumor has it costs are astronomical this year… aging workforce and all. I’m guessing a 50% increase in premiums and a cut to their HSA contributions.

Walgreens was just purchased by Sycamore. I just read a news article that says Target is also being looked at by private equity firms as well! Are all retail stores pretty much doomed at this point. Wow.
