What’s the scoop on layoffs for Richmond hill and Pendant?
Staples is a JOKE
I’ve never seen a company quite like Staples that LOVES to promote and retain toxic individuals. It seems a requirement now to be an AVP is to be a full blown narcissist. Glad we are bringing in 2026 by sending a message to the hardworking employees... — read more
Old Southeast Region

They’ll say it’s better than nothing 2% across the board No incentive to go above and beyond Bonus should be good though Guess they just didn’t want any permanent base increases

Inside Sales RIF
Apparently, inside sales AVPs were made aware of the RIF coming next month and were told to review the impact list before it's finalized this week. All ICs, no leaders. If you're in the Orlando call center, it would be wise to make sure your... — read more
Any news about Bonuses and Merit Increase?
It’s already mid March, did anyone hear about the year end bonuses and merit increase? Are we having this year?
Long gone
I have been long gone from staples since “sick a more” bought it out. I am quite surprised that staples is still around. I wonder for how long. It does not look like a viable business model any longer.
SG Off to Greener Pastures
SG, the WFH champion, is moving onto Wal Mart. Is it because something will be coming down soon? Bonuses usually coming at the end of March...is that not happening? Merit increase this year? How about the engagement survey that usually surfaces in... — read more
I miss my old manager
Was a good leader. Stayed off my back and allowed me to perform. Thanks Sycamore for laying off the good ones…..
Don’t you get it?
The best leaders of the last 10 years have been laid off.
We've been cut down to the bare bones here
It's nearly impossible to keep up with the workload. My team lost more people in the latest round. Does anyone actually consider whether teams can still function when making these cuts? Sure doesn't feel like it.
Who here actually works 40 hours?
30 hours, 20 hours, heck 5 hours and has a second job they milk? You can get away with so much stuff!
Staples Baddie
Who else started following her on TikTok after the mention during the Enterprise Town Hall? I'm loving this employee-generated content and it will be really interesting to see what kind of sales impact she will have. The growth in number of followers... — read more

snow days & attendance tracking
We’ve had at least two significant storms in the last few weeks, depositing 12-18 inches across the region. And a smattering of smaller snowfalls also affecting commutes. What is the official expectation from corporate for weekly attendance when... — read more

Staples Layoffs 2026
Do you think there will be Staples layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?
Region 1
Seems like a reorg is coming since all the dms drive far from home. And word on the street the dm on leave isn't coming back . A reorg of dma before the new year
Competency and Rankings and no backfills at this time….
Time to update those resumes and prepare for the New Year.
Sales
For perspective new hires, where are sales for the company? Where staples isn’t public, it’s difficult to truly understand how the business is doing. If someone has the rough sales numbers by division and YOY, that would be great.
How much money was spent to remodel corporate?
Anyone’s guess how much money has been spent on constantly renovating corporate over and over again? And why? Everyone hates going into the office.
What a joke- fire then hire back
The ones you fire and hire back is a joke. Such a game you play with your financials so the owners get paid on the backs of the Staples slaves. And you wonder why the ones come back in the first place, it’s not for the great culture.
Day after Thanksgiving
Does anyone know if Staples locations (not retail) will be open the day after Thanksgiving. We have not heard and they usually wait till 2-3 weeks before they tell us.
RTO Policy Update
Curious what people’s opinions are with the new 4 day mandatory in office policy update. I get that it makes sense since it’s an office supplies company but there are plenty of teams that don’t even do 3 days now. Is this a ploy to avoid layoffs in... — read more

Cybersecurity is a joke
Cybersecurity being ran by the most incompetent non cyber people ever. Staples really forgot they’re supposed to protect the network, not promote their friends.
