People being laid off in Freising. Are you negotiating or accepting the offer? I got 2 months of severance, not enough to wait for unemployment benefits. If we don't accept can they fire us?

Got laid off this past Thursday,along with half of my fab DMOS5-DMOS6 RFAB ALL TOOK MAJOR LAY OFF MORE TO COME I HEAR.

How has TI historically handled RIFs? I haven’t been at TI long enough to see other RIFs of this magnitude

Is there even one? I can’t see any vision behind these layoffs. It just feels like the same old story - more work for fewer people, with nothing else really changing

Has anyone else heard offers have been recended to employees in Sherman? Some were promised roles in other fabs last year. I've heard the offers are no longer being honored.

No meeting, no heads up. Supervisors in MFG side don’t even know who got laid on their team on A/B shift. How did they pick the people.. crazy

Heard a lot of this was due to poor product execution?!? TI did not deliver on a quality product to a customer and had to sell off what they could and make major cost adjustments internally?!?! Anyone can confirm or deny this. Or is this the same BS... — read more 

We should not keep quiet, we should raise our voice against this leadership!

Seems in IT Services a lot more outside managers were hired this past year including a VP with no prior TI experience. In hindsight, I think some were brought in just for cost-cutting and reorg.

200mm hit hard this quarter, 300mm will get a reorg in Q4. For those that survived, don’t get too comfortable. Plan was always a 2 phase reduction and reorg.

They can send as many jobs as they want to cheaper countries, but they can't escape the low quality they'll be getting with it. They're walking out priceless institutional knowledge with these layoffs, and that decision will come back to bite them in... — read more

Obviously they’re working around WARN in the U.S. but any idea? When Lehi was hit you could put info together from severance sheets. Wondering how concerned remaining employees should be. And investors.
