Good to know. 😂
The silence is too loud
Whenever leadership goes quiet, we all know something’s brewing. And it's been very quiet lately.
Transfering internally
If you make a lateral move, does your pay remain the same? Does bonus % change? Not sure if anyone here has experience, but considering applying to an adjacent role (Currently a Senior System Analyst) but the role I'm looking to apply is a regular... — read more
Retirement Plan vesting period
Seems like it's a 3 year vesting period to own 100% of the retirement plan contributions by TIAA. Let's say I started the company and my first official start date was in January 1 2023, would that mean if I quit on January 2, 2026 I get to keep the... — read more
How to order monitor equipment?
Or, what monitors do you guys use at home? Any idea what monitors the campus at Frisco uses?
who runs the company?
it seems the actual CEO is absent from the EC committee, and she seems to only be present as a cheerleader, and absent from any meaningful actual leadership. Does the board make all the seemingly confusing decisions? is it made in a vacuum by Mason... — read more
CEO News
She was challenged several weeks ago on this board to go on CNBC to be interviewed and by golly, she did ! Albeit a soft ball interview with Sharon Epperson for DEI reasons. Let's be honest here, if she interviewed with Jim Cramer, David Faber, or... — read more
What happens to bonus money if you quit before May?
Do you get a portion of it? Also.... what about the other way around? If a teammate leaves before May, does their portion of bonus money get split amongst the rest of the team at the manager's discretion?
Bonuses under siege
It is clear that management is trying to nix any amount they can from annual compensation bonus payouts (which frankly I look at as deferred salary for doing your job) to cut costs if you add any value to this company or not. Not exactly a well... — read more
Transformation
I’m not sure if Accenture is really transforming or modernizing the application? Are they just doing BAU. Another question is TIAA planning to outsource their data division?
Name Changes
Company probably hired an outside consultant and paid them $250K just for the name change and rebranding. Just drop TIAA & CREF from all funds for starters. Very few people even know what the acronyms mean anymore. Good to see Colbert making this... — read more
Accenture friends: are you happy with bonus?
I guess Managers got around 5K-7K and AM got /lt;4K, others are even lesser
All Associate Town Hall
Thiight the town hall was filled with energy and engagement. Wonderful to see. It’s obvious how much the executive team prioritizes us employees. The town halls are always so engaging. I commend them. Love our benefits too.
Office should be 5 days
Pre covid office was 5 days, so I don’t think it’s new rule. As well it’s too hard to communicate with remote people, sometimes responses are super slow and confusing.
Town hall?
Was this scheduled already or come up last minute? Seems like there’s some sort of announcement?
Why do *YOU* Work Here
Honest question, why do you like working at TIAA? There seems to be so much contention about poor management, legacy technology, in office requirements, and vast pay differences. What is it that keeps you here? Especially those of you that have... — read more
Do they spy?
Do they spy on your work machine?
Today!
Excited for today’s benefits fair. Lots of terrific benefits TIAA provides to us employees. We actually are very lucky.
Is it possible to negotiate for remote?
I see a lot of people that are still remote… has anyone recently successfully negotiated to be remote? Will those that are remote be eventually asked to go back to the office?
Anyone here work/worked for Vanguard/Fidelity?
How does the culture/pay/benefits compare with TIAA? Is it easier ti transition to one of these companies being a TIAA employee? Specifically in tech
Favorite part of working for TIAA?
What a terrific company. I love the unlimited PTO and all the tools available to drive our career ambitions.
Attendance
So what happens if you only come once or twice a week instead of 3? New here… was planning on coming today but something came up, can I just come 4 times next week or will my manager get an email about not going in 3 times this week?
Got an offer here should I take it?
Got an offer from TIAA at either Frisco or Charlotte (my choice family in Dallas and Charlotte so relocation money out of my pocket is minimal) but already have a job at another retirement services firm. TIAA pays more and offers better benefits but... — read more
Wells Fargo Dallas office issues for Denver/Frisco

Any rumors?
Has anyone heard any rumors related to 2025 bonus pool? There are a ton of meetings related to reductions of budgets, almost like a last minute scramble to cut costs. Maybe we should have subleased Frisco and ramped up remote work?
Loss of Confidence in CEO
We are hearing inside whispers that some on the board, executive committee, and rank and file are starting to lose confidence in "T" Brown Duckett. She came in 2021 on a DEI high with lots of fanfare to replace Roger Ferguson who was snake bit at the... — read more
Oh look, ANOTHER meeting BACKWARDS — I mean FRWD meeting
Another performative meeting. Same fake smiles, same empty hype. The opener must’ve said “I’m so excited” five times — and I couldn’t tell if he was convincing us or himself. These things are so staged it’s painful. Nothing real, nothing transparent... — read more
CISO Problem
When will the EC wake up that they have a CISO problem? The mind map done a while back showed the CISO has no support, respect, nor leadership of his group.
How to learn TIAA Traditioal
Just joined the company... how can i learn exactly what TIAA does? What exactly is TIAA Traditional?
How are our former colleagues faring at Accenture?
It looks pretty grim over there, judging by the numbers being reported. I sincerely hope they’ve been managing to hang on. Honestly, I wish the same for all of us. It’s brutal out there, and I shudder at the thought of having to job hunt again.
31 Denver Layoffs-Update
