Hello. Please. Does anyone know the status of NY ? Will there be massive layoffs here?
Internal Positions
Does anyone know that if your position is eliminated, if you are still allowed to apply to other positions internally? Like what's the process? If you sign the layoff paperwork, that's it?
Mismanagement
Years ago layoffs were the last thing companies did before shuttering. Layoffs were shameful to companies. Now they're a way to increase shareholder profit. If you have to lay people off to impress shareholders, that's not management, it's... — read more
Prime Day
what are y’all getting? and are there any good deals by other retailers right now? I’m thinking about getting an adult coloring book and some markers to focus on something and calm my nerves. maybe some puzzles and word finds too.
I can’t be the only one, right?
I can’t be the only person having an incredibly difficult time focusing on work right now. I’ve invested nearly 10 years here, earned multiple “Exceeds Expectations” reviews, and always taken pride in being a strong contributor wherever I work. But... — read more
The not knowing is the worst
These posts are all just passing the time. Each and everyone have valid points. We will all never agree, but we can agree on is that the wait is weighing heavily on us all.
Medicaid Contracts
does anyone have insight into how many H-contracts were not renewed due to policy changes? please don't turn this into a political vitriol; I'm asking a serious question. how much trouble is Centene in?

Great Leaders Lead By Example
Silence should no longer be an option. Since "leadership" is ignoring the call to step down, it’s time to turn up the volume. Let’s keep this conversation front and center until they finally acknowledge the need for a change. Great Leaders Lead By... — read more
Unpopular Opinion: They're Trying
I get it. This is hard. Nobody wants to see their team shrink, nobody wants uncertainty, and nobody signs up for a job hoping to navigate a VSP or a RIF (This is not a layoff folks). But I've been watching this forum and I want to offer a different... — read more
My Plan (Leadership Pay Attention)
Here's how people can push back against this. If layoffs start happening, and I'm one of the people affected, I fully intend to create a presence on YouTube, Rumble, and TikTok focused on the layoffs at Centene and the broader issues with how the... — read more
People leader - Nitpicking
My people leader was always so laid back and chill- now its emails about everything regarding production- time-claims, etc. I understand he's stressed but still... is this a paper trail for layoffs? Is it to stop me from getting VSP? T to fire me... — read more
Does anyone know
Does anyone know how high up the chain the decision of if your VSP will be accepted or declined?? Is it Director or Higher?? I decided to take the offer and move on from the company. 10+ years and its time for me to walk away. No regrets..yes I will... — read more
Biggest career mistake
Coming to Centene was the worst decision I've ever made. I was thrilled when they offered me the position. Now I wish I'd never taken it.
Centene as London's Personal Piggy Bank
Have you all noticed that London pulled all the funding Michael Neidorff had threw out St. Louis and the surrounding areas? It's not only in Missouri, but in the other states too. This is why we no longer have the website that would give employees... — read more
My Job
So my work right now is dealing with reports, and I spoke to my coworker who was like if you are gone she won’t be able to handle it. She told someone else on my team, you better think twice before getting rid of her. The colleague said her... — read more
Stop worrying about DEI and worry about getting the work done
Centene's single biggest problem is it's leadership...or lack there of. They need to stop worrying about getting the next DEI accolade and do the job. Honestly I don't think they know how and it is time to clean house starting at the very top... — read more
VSP - pros/cons being upfront with PL
advantages/disadvantages of now informing your PL (you have a great relationship with. Mutual respect). Common courtesy?
Nobody on my team is taking VSP
I think all of them are crazy. Who would want to stay in this mess? Okay, I can understand some people who are worried about health insurance and stuff like that, but isn't that going to be just as much of a problem if they're laid off after VSP is... — read more
VSP's and the dumpster fires of years past.
We've been here before. Multiple times. From my prospective, we've never truly addressed the issues in the company that causes it to bleed. Every time they run into money problems, they do layoffs to keep the stock shiny. The underlying issues... — read more

What’s going on in New Jersey?
The CEO left suddenly, seemingly without explanation, and then was very quickly replaced but no formal announcement to internal business partners. What in the world is going on over there?
There are no coincidences!!!
Been trying to stay optimistic since last week's announcement, but reality has set in. Here are the facts from my purview: layoffs are inevitable if VSP numbers fall short. Months ago, my PL requested a detailed breakdown of every one of my direct... — read more

Why such a long timeline
Why would Centene want to keep any VSP applicant (approved or denied) until Sept 1. And then the layoffs August 1, would they work to 9/1? That’s a lot for any company to take at one time (not that I care). People leaving (voluntarily) and others... — read more
Anyone got their severance pay yet????
Has anyone received their actual money from the severance for all of us who were laid off as of 6/5? Because don’t bother calling HR. They flatly refuse to speak with you. At all.
Taking VSP without a second thought
Not because of the looming layoffs or any other reason. Just because I'm completely fed up with this job and this company. Completely burnt out. I'm sure others have their own reasons, but for me, the decision is easy.
Hiring Freeze
If there’s a hiring freeze, why is there a new Director, Workforce Manangement, that’s just hired and announced starting today?
Training someone
I heard from people that they training someone to do their job, what does that mean they are done or what?
