Open office a place holder for final re-organization?

Like many I am very frustrated by the hunt for a landing spot every morning, and all the noise and confusion that goes with it. Will we get offices again after the reorganization is finalized. That is, is this $hit$how just a holding pattern or is it really the permante new normal? Not sure I can live with this long term.

PDM?

Anyone have any suspicions as to how Provider Data Management teams across the company will be affected? My team (Wellcare Medicare of Connecticut) was already cut significantly once in 2024 because we exited the Vermont market then, and this year we were combined with Maine under one manager.
Without us and what we do, providers can't get enrolled, credentialed and paid, and members don't know who they can even go to see, so I'd say we serve a very critical function. But I know that means little to nothing at the end of the day in all of this. My manager has already said that if she has any say in the cuts at all that me and one other person are definitely not going, but obviously no guarantees that she will have any authority there. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Bandcamp Cuts Engineering Staff, Sparks Artist Worry

A longtime software engineer reported being laid off from Bandcamp. He claimed most of the remaining engineers were also let go. This news has renewed concerns among artists and users about the platform's future. Bandcamp has a history of ownership changes and previous staff reductions. Artists rely on Bandcamp for direct music sales and fear platform instability.

What's up with the disclaimer in the offers that says "this is an estimate and can change"? How would it change?

Is anyone else questioning the legitimacy of things we've been told about the VSP or our future here? I mean, with all the intentional ambiguity and gaslighting, I don't trust anything or anyone anymore.

What's up with the disclaimer in the offers that says "this is an estimate and can change"? How would it change? Hopefully, people aren't making decisions based on the numbers provided, only to find a significant gap when the money is dispersed.

Voice Survey?

With everything that’s been happening lately, I’m finding myself wondering how candid I can or should truly be. I know the survey is presented as “confidential,” but I’m curious whether others feel comfortable giving completely honest feedback or if you’re holding back because of concerns about confidentiality or potential repercussions.

No judgment either way, I’m genuinely interested in how others are approaching it.

How long until it all falls apart?

There's something I've noticed: a meeting starts, someone kicks it off with the generic "How's it going?", and the response is a crestfallen look, a deep breath, and "it's fine."

Nobody is okay anymore. Nobody is happy. Nobody is getting anything done.

We have no leadership, no support, and no idea where to go from here.

We can't go on like this.

Manager survey

Does this even matter?

Also I'm curious does this survey go to all associates? Or does the manager select a few designated pets who take the survey (which doesn't seem accurate as I am far from a pet lol)

My manager despises me because I ask him tough questions instead of having a "yes sir" person

Does anybody else feel like Verizon is a lost cause?

I don't mean it'll go under any time soon, but there have been so many wrong moves in the past decade or so that I don't see a way to come out on top once again, no matter what's done. I just think Verizon has seen its best days and it'll always be downhill from now on.

D&H & Ingram have us on Credit Hold...

Looks like FHE isn't paying the bills again! Unfulfilled orders are piling up, haven't seen any D&H or Ingram Micro orders in weeks. Rumors abound on Slack about cashflow issues again, but of course OTC is tight-lipped, pretending there's no issue, while the boots on the ground have to deal with the pi---d-off institutional customers. May be time to desert the sinking ship....
