Is there currently any hiring freeze?

Someone posted on here about VZ selling central office and scrapping the metal.

I thought we couldn't sell the COs bc that's literally where our equipment is housed and some have collocated equipment from other carriers, or used to. I feel super confused

Anyone else org seeing people quit left and right? My org lost around 10 people in the last 2 weeks.

Most of the people I know are 40 or above, and just a few in their 30s. That doesn't sit right with me.

Maybe its just me but multiple large group calls have been cancelled this Wednesday and Thursday. I get its the week of the 4th but would it be crazy to think layoffs could hit this week too? Or is it July 15-16?

I know the survey is presented as “confidential,” but I’m curious whether others feel comfortable giving completely honest feedback or if you’re holding back because of concerns about confidentiality or potential repercussions.
