Every morning, at 7 am sharp the game begins for Booz Allen employees. Count on it no matter what Booz Allen leadership preaches. So, when the music stops, if your left standing without a chair you'll be issued a layoff notice within days if not hours. There are many people inside the company desperately looking for new work. Unfortunately, if you are one of them. Your given an unrealistic amount of time to find new work before a layoff notice is issued to you.

Internal Transfer to a different team
Does TIAA favor internal transfers versus external applicants? Looking to do a lateral move, I don't see any openings for the position I want, but figured I'd want to network with the manager to let them know I'm interested. Has anyone transferred internally that can provide any recommendation/tips on what they did? Worried that if I apply and don't get the role, then my boss would know that I'm looking to transition out of my current role.
Moving internally

What is the notice requirement for internal transfer?
Code of Conduct does not mention it.
Non-budgeted role
I am applying for a role but I’m being told it’s non-budgeted. What does that mean? It sounds risky even if I am internal.

As a part of Enterprise Reimagine, I was moved to a different role within the same division without change in title, level or pay. But I am not that excited about my new role. Do I have the option of applying for one of the internal open roles?

Question
Are laid-off folks offered a chance to land another role within Oracle in a set time frame? When I was laid off from my previous company last year, I had 60 days to apply for internal openings (spoiler: I didn’t get anything). I’m wondering if Oracle has a similar process or not.
Country to country movements
Could anyone tell me if country-to-country movements or applications for positions in other countries are currently blocked?
21 folks got laid off August 12th
Hey all, I was among the 21 last week. I am so sad. HR told us we were going to be supported during our 60 day job hunt but they were no where to be found. I'm certain none of us had a chance to find a new role at Target. My team is talented, respected, and qualified for a lot of the open roles yet none of us could land anything. We HUSTLED in the 60 days. I personally applied to 16 different internal roles my skills would have made sense for and I got one interview which was amazing but I got rejected. Same story with 4 others on my team. I am convinced we never had a chance and it pi---s me off they led us on. Stupid i know but I didn't apply externally at all because I wanted to stay so badly. Lesson learned. 18 years with the company and no thank yous or I'm sorry from leadership. It stings but now I know how it is. I was so naive having grown up there.
If you have the chance, transfer to FED.
Seriously.
Regardless of department you are in, find a way into the fed space and your life will be so much easier and you 100% are significantly less likely to be laid off.
Sales? It's a smaller team/group and the bulk of your money is made during FBS - which su-ks because you work longer and sporatic hours for a month.5 - but you have almost a guarenteed career long client as they are only Government agencies.
Tech support? Find a way into FIRST. Federal Incident Response Team. It's INTERNAL FED tech support to JUST fed employees and you can't be offshored like corp tech support can and there is no outside tech support bs. You ONLY deal with federal DELL employees.
IT? - It's a smaller environment, less complex, far fewer switches/routers/firewalls/etc... A much simpler IT environment through and through.
Managers - I mean, having been one in the past; I'd far prefer to manage 10 people versus 20? Considering every team in FED is quite small, anyways.
FED brings in a LOT of money to Dell considering the department size. We are valuable and not a single person can be offshored and 99% can't even be outsourced. Dell doesn't touch FED with layoffs 99% of the time as we are so small and, we are the last resort/option.
YES, people can and do get laid off in FED but it's far far FAR less likely than in literally any department on the corporate side.
