Watching the stock drop

I really hate seeing the stock fall this hard because we all know what usually comes next when the numbers keep heading in the wrong direction. If things do not turn around soon, leadership will almost definitely start leaning on layoffs again just to make the balance sheets look better for a quarter or two. Mark my words, they always reach for the same playbook when the stock starts tanking.

Company stress at dangerous levels

Workload is insane and it feels like we’re barely keeping our heads above water. Everyone’s walking on eggshells, worried about getting cut. People talk about leaving, but years in and severance keeps them trapped. Morale is rock bottom and it’s exhausting. It’s hard watching a place that used to feel meaningful turn so cold and ruthless.

VZ is a (tele)Communications company?!

So hour by hour every publication is using the '15 to 20k layoffs' headlines to get to whatever sl--t they have, and all of the quotes and bullets are the same for all of the articles. And VZ officially has no comment. And this site and Reddit and everywhere else threads their hearts out with rumor/speculation/furvor. And VZ, the communications company with the new 'Tell it like it is' CEO, and a credo of integrity and respect, just allows rumor, speculation, and uncertainty take a deep soak while November 20 gets closer on the calendar. This isn't some scramble with no direction; Big Brother is controlling the communication even if it LOOKS chaotic. Chaos is a strategy.

Even more cuts?

There has been talk about even more cuts coming early next year, but nobody seems to know if it is real. People keep trading bits of speculation and it puts everyone on edge. I am keeping my head down and waiting to see what leadership says. It is tough concentrating on work with that hanging over us.

February demolition?

If you’re a manager you have probably already been asked to provide numbers.

I expect at least a 10% cull across all/most teams in February before the end of year reviews.

Getting rid of many managers and collapsing them to ICs and creating teams with 1:20 or 1:25 even, was done to make it easier to give up headcount. It was always going to be the next phase. They are speeding up the next phases of cuts

Attention: store level H.R., working 7-3,8-4, or 9-5 mon thru Fri

If you are a full time H.R. and/or H.R. lead working mon-Fri. 7-3, 8-4, or 9-5. Your position is in danger of being eliminated by March 2026, just like the aforementioned post, a list is being compiled and that position is in great danger of being eliminated, and store managers will most like absorb those tasks.

Nutanix on the brink?

What is happening with this layoff cycle? Very highly skilled employees were gone. It feels this has become another Vmware.

Are we getting prepared for a takeover just like how Broadcom destroyed Vmwareand laid off 19 THOUNSANDS employees?

We are getting squeezed by new small startups due to corporate failures.

Why?

I was today years old when I learned there is such a thing as a layoff merch industry, and it's thriving. What the he-l? Why are people selling layoff shirts, jerseys, cups, and whatnot, and more importantly, why are people buying it? Somebody make it make sense, please.
