Get ready, managers sending email asking to see who is interested In a VSP, which in other words if no one takes it will have a surplus!
Before any of you clowns start saying that it isn't true, I am in C and E district 6 and this happened today, also we are bargained for technicians not management.
Anyone know what the percentage is or have a clue if there is a list again like last time?

October Layoffs
Got confirmation of October layoffs today in my org. Anyone else? Trying to see how big this one will be...
More layoffs coming Monday
More layoffs are set to roll out in America on Monday. I'm numb. 2.48 billion dollar revenue but they still decide to layoff the people making it happen. This is beyond parody. SHAPE survey comes out and says people are unhappy and Synopsys leadership decides to keep beating the dead horse. Unbelievable
Anyone over 50 who got laid off
Did anyone over 50 land a new job after being layed off from this stellar company??
If so, how long did it take you and how did you do it.
Lenovo gave us this free career placement LHH but I find it boring and of no value.
Dental
Dental claims has 2 new hire offshore classes with 40(+?) people. There are not even 40 people on this team currently. The odds are pretty high for this team to be laid off, isn't it? 😫
TPS Lapses May Hurt August Payrolls
The expiration of Temporary Protected Status for hundreds of thousands of immigrants could significantly impact the August employment report. Many of these individuals were in the labor force and firms were compelled to let them go. This situation may lead to a negative payroll number without an increase in the official unemployment rate. Healthcare and leisure/hospitality sectors are expected to be most affected by these job losses. The Bureau of Labor Statistics lacks a specific method to track these types of layoffs.

To person who writes STCB or Computational team
I know this restructuring is really difficult, and I understand how stressful and uncertain things must feel right now. But at the end of the day, a company is still a company. Its priority is the business and the money, not necessarily the people. Whether STCB is performing well or not, or whether the Computational Team is doing a great job or struggling, it ultimately doesn’t change the fact that you need to think about your own future first. So, instead of worrying too much about what the company is going to do, start updating your résumé, interviewing with other companies, and preparing yourself to leave if the right opportunity comes along. There are many better companies out there. If you feel like you’re missing some skills, you can work on developing them before making a move, or you can move to another company first and continue building your skills there. Either way, the important thing is to create opportunities for yourself rather than waiting for the company to decide your future.
Union Files Complaint Over Amazon Driver Layoffs
A union has filed a complaint against Amazon and its subcontractors for allegedly violating New York's WARN Act. The complaint claims over 1,300 delivery drivers were let go without the legally required 90 days' notice. This action impacts drivers in New York City and surrounding suburban areas. The International Brotherhood of Teamsters is seeking back wages, benefits, and penalties for the affected workers. The state Labor Department is currently reviewing the complaint.

Am I naive to think we're now safe for a while?
More insider trades
My alert went off this morning. Good times for another executive. From publicly available information…
Chris Koster, Centene’s General Counsel:
2023: $4.84M
2024: $5.06M
2025: $6.51M
On August 18, 2026, Koster sold 47,603 Centene shares for roughly $3.11 million. $16.4M in three years. Cha-Ching sir! Here are the stock trades:
https://www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/insiders/koster-christopher-1108982
Not bad for the top lawyer at a company whose business is largely administering taxpayer-funded healthcare.
Koster went from county prosecutor → Missouri Senator → Missouri Attorney General → Centene executive.
So basically, decades in Missouri government followed by millions a year at one of the country’s largest Medicaid contractors.
At least someone figured out how to make Medicaid profitable. But sure, keep cutting the people doing the actual work. That ought to fix the margins. And congrats, Chris. Don’t spend it all in one place.
New CEO
The new CEO is going to be amazing! There will not be any more layoffs, the 401k match will go to 12%, everyone can work remote 5 days a week, all salaries will be increased 20%, annual increases will be 10% minimum, and every teammate will get their very own unicorn!!
Or nothing will change for us grunts in the trenches and the new faces sitting in the same executive offices will still get rich off of us just like the ones currently in those offices. It really su-ks to be us.
Dude
Let’s continue to hire multiple million salaried leadership people that need to be trained, cut Nike engineering experts and have a fake ITC office where nothing gets done yet we pay millions for.
Surely that will fix our issues. Bravo, brilliant.
Another wave of layoffs at Full Sail
All departments seem to be impacted, rumored 188 employees cut.
Same as last year, blindsided zoom meetings, they read you a script and jamf lock your laptop and ki-l your accounts the moment the meeting ends.
Shape and other surveys are not anonymous
Please note that none of the surveys in Synopsys are anonymous.
In last yearst Shape survey, there was a question whether you believe in CEO Gh@zi leadership. All L6/M6 and above who rated 3/2/1 have either been laid off or are in the layoff pipeline.
So, play safe and give 5 ratings to such questions, basically lick the @ss in surveys unless you are in notice period.
Force people to quit.
Is there a method that companies use to get people to leave?
A Little Positivity?
Is all the bashing of Schwab and its senior leaders here really warranted? There's a reason why Schwab is consistently ranked a top employer in nearly every city where it has a campus. Because it's a really great place to work. The pay is well above average, the benefits are 1st class and the company does really care about its employees.
Now I don't kid myself. I know at some point that Schwab will need to make a decision in its interest that won't be in mine. I come to this site to get an idea of when that may happen so I can plan accordingly. Instead I just end up reading a bunch of nasty comments about how terrible the company is. Last summer we cancelled our lawn care service for financial reasons and now my husband cuts the grass. I would sure hate to think the crew that came out to my house each week was now online badmouthing me like a lot of you are doing to Schwab.
I love Schwab but I'm a realist. At some point they will probably lay me off. But til then, I am committed to giving them my best and so should the rest of you.
Layoffs hit in Omaha
Anyone know which depts were impacted?
Layoffs
They did layoffs this week. Lots in India. So far I have heard of a few in GHQ
And so it begins
Just had a call with my new "leader" at Charter and was told in no uncertain terms "Move to Stamford of you are effectively resigning from the company." Nice right? Alex Taylor cared about one thing and one thing only - building his legacy within the family, regardless of the human capital losses.
For all the PIPs
For the influx of PIPs coming in, where are you located and which BU? Before someone starts yelling “WHY DO YOU WANT TO KNOW?”, it’s because this would help folks in these countries/BU to know what’s coming and start looking for new roles.
XOM and skydiving
Current XOM is like a skydiver that was forced to jump out of the plane not wearing a parachute while being required to report back to the Flight Crew every 10 seconds with a status update.
For the first several updates, everything is going exactly per plan and the Flight Crew, especially the Captain, pats themselves on the back, hands out record bonuses to each other and determines that everything is going so great, the other skydivers on the plane are forced to jump sans-chute too.
But that last status update will eventually come in from the Ground Crew and no one but the Flight Crew will be surprised.
I can’t wait when Big Tech swallows Big Finance after AI
Scharf is so corrupt that his c-suite continues to lie, lie, lie that work produced by AI is not the product of the employees who know the subject matter to properly use AI. I will laugh when after Scharf is done firing everyone - big Tech price gouges Wells Fargo and takes it over.
New CFO mandate
Word down at the watering hole is that CFOs fixin' mandate to take a mighty sharp kn--e to everything, and he ain't fixing to waste any time doing it, neither.
Fujifilm BI spinoff
What does this mean for our jobs and our existing customers? Will the new Fuji BI group try to consolidate with us again to keep thier base and or will we compete and just replace their boxes with Lexmark?
Layoff incoming
https://financefeeds.com/oracle-orcl-layoffs-september-deadline/
Remember when
Executives
- dropped the 401k match
- froze salaries for non hipos
- dropped charitable contribution match
- dropped education reimbursement
- doubled PIP percentage
- increased insurance premiums while reducing insurance quality
- conducted layoffs with the lowest severance possible
All while making zero changes to the executive bonus and compensation program, in fact giving themselves even larger bonuses.
Our beloved $36 Million Man Has a Lot of Explaining to Do
At what point do we stop calling this a “turnaround” and admit Nike’s leadership sc--wed up? The stock is sitting around $38.
That’s after years of bad decisions, losing momentum with younger customers, getting buried by competitors, and turning some of the most iconic shoes in the world into glorified clearance-rack inventory.
And somehow the people running the company are still getting paid like everything is going great.
Elliott Hill pulled in $36.3 million in 2026 after laying off thousands of hardworking people. Meanwhile, Nike’s stock is still nowhere near where it was a few years ago.
Demotions
Any truth to the rumors of people being told their position is being downgraded to a lower grade level, and they can either accept it or leave? Are they offering a separation package for those who do not accept this? Wondering if this is true and what roles/business units are affected.
Company laid off the engineers and now forcing techs doing the zero pen.
Company laid off a bunch of engineers , and now is forcing techs to do the zero pen jobs that fell to them. The union is so stupid , they didn’t even argue for a differential pay for its members. Company is saving millions making techs do the engineering work now. What does the union do besides sc--w over its members at every turn lol
Why layoff tech in US if GCC producing nothing?
I work with GCC tech in India. Bunch of rookies. Can’t get out of their way and work at snails pace. So WHY am I hearing about Sept tech layoffs in US?
AT&T stepped in it now with RTO
Don’t look now, but it looks like the first shoe dropped . A major federal case on telework just found that RTO for telework was uncovered as illegal and exposed for its real intention of a way to force workers off payroll. Since being laid off a little over a year ago I’ve worked in Washington knocking on doors and exposing the flood of workers from India that transpired prior to this flood of layoffs, and exposing AT&T for targeting older workers in some of their most critical and vulnerable years of working. I’ve made a lot of headway in pushing for more obstacles of this flood of workers from abroad to replace the American skilled labor. I’ve just begun with that, but this recent legal fight has just begun. While this current case that was just won singles out the RTO trick that was played on Government workforce workers, this may have a trickle down affect in the private sector. When companies like T do things that were illegal, it greatly reduces the effect of that , “no sue” paper they forced you to sign or forgo you earned severance. That’s also another thing I’m working on with my talks to senators. This little game that T has waged against the workforce should be exposed for what it is. I encourage that the ones who were impacted by this game T played with past layoffs and the upcoming layoffs with no cost to T be exposed. If you were wrapped up in this game please take some time to sit down and send an e-mail to your local state leaders especially in places like Texas and Georgia. Don’t give up just because people from upper management kicked you in your teeth. Transfer your mobile, internet and other communications to less expensive providers, make sure you hit up “friends and family” about cheaper services as well. This is the impact to the company when they abuse its older vulnerable workforce. I know from inside sources that more layoffs are upon us prior to entering the holiday season, hang in there, don’t give up, and know that your targeted voice to you local state elected leaders matter.
Down 15%!!!!!
Whoa, looks like Stripe just didn’t like what they saw. Now the next guy gets even cheaper. I wonder how long until Enrique gets fired? He was brought on to execute faster but he can’t even do layoffs timely. We’ve been talking for MONTHS layoffs.
Laid Off?
If you or if you know anyone that got laid off this coming Monday/Tuesday, which country/region is the person from?

Any worried about this reorg taking place? I’m worried it could mean layoffs, apparently multiple directors were pulled into HR offices at EOD today.
