Would be hard to believe there is a sale of a 145 year old company. But a Polaris project employee reorganization (reduction) is more likely. My guess, if you don’t need to physically turn the pipe. Your job will be sent elsewhere.
Good luck everyone.
Looks like the whole sales team was axed, and some tech support people were laid off too
1 day after the execs flew over from the US to tell us about how they were happy with the work and with the growing headcount. would have been more decent to just not say anything...
how is it looking in other locations?
Any word on call centers closing? Which locations? Our center is a ghost town.
Can not deal with the stress anymore
According to a survey by the Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies, nearly six-in-10 retirees (58%) retired sooner than planned. Among this group, 43% cited employment reasons such as job loss (16%), organizational changes (16%), job unhappiness (14%) and retirement buyout (9%).
Already started hitting HR and other areas. Likely won’t see WARN notices for another 30-90 days due to paid leaves given.
Wanted to bring up something that has been bothering me for quite some time, and I believe it's important for us to have some meaningful discussion about it with those charged with the responsibility. Have you noticed that none of the senior leadership team ever formally addresses any of the serious concerns raised on this forum, Peakon surveys, or other feedback channels? Significant, non-trivial concerns such as offshoring plans, aggressive US layoff plans, loss of experienced workers, hiring freezes, shifting workload concerns, RTO policies, office closure plans, growth hubs vs. non-growth hubs, separations vs. severance plans and decisions, work-from-home status, and quality of life concerns are all left unanswered.
All the management rhetoric we've been programmed to embody in our core pillars and principles now feels empty and hollow. It feels quite odd and frankly, very disheartening, that these significant issues are continuously brought up by employees either directly or through forums like this but never receive any formal acknowledgment or response from senior leadership. Why is that? How is it ever acceptable to continue to ignore these employee concerns? Where does SH and the People Team stand?
It stands to reason that it is crucial for this leadership team to be transparent and responsive to the concerns of their employees. Addressing these issues head-on would not only provide clarity but also help in building trust and improving the overall morale within the organization. Given the widespread fear, uncertainty, and doubt that continues to spread, is there any reason we should be confident in our future success or direction with this firm? If we can't answer this question with absolute certainty and conviction, then clearly a restart is the only option.
Workforce reductions and acquisition exits come as IT demand softens; TCS also cut staff amid industry-wide caution earlier.
"The business optimization program has two parts. One related to rapid talent rotation that Julie mentioned, which reflects severance associated with headcount reductions that we are making in a compressed timeline, and second, related to the divestiture of two acquisitions that are no longer aligned with our strategic priorities," CFO Angie Park added.

Acquisition Pullbacks:
Messaging: "didn't align with our strategic priorities"
"Accenture also announced plans to exit certain non-core businesses and divest assets worth $865 million as part of its ongoing portfolio optimization strategy. The move is aimed at reallocating resources toward higher-growth areas, particularly AI, digital services, and cloud-driven initiatives, enabling the company to streamline operations while strengthening its focus on emerging technologies."
Hey guys, can someone explain what's going on, even from rumors:
I'm grateful to still have my role, but I'm terrible at being "in the know" of the bigger picture my company faces. For the sake of discussion, I like my role but people keep saying to steer clear of working at TI. What are reasons for this train of thought?
Thank y'all!
Heard a lot of this was due to poor product execution?!? TI did not deliver on a quality product to a customer and had to sell off what they could and make major cost adjustments internally?!?! Anyone can confirm or deny this. Or is this the same BS spiel given every single RIF?!?!?!
They're coming to get you asap!
In F&O management is running around like headless chickens. I think big cuts are coming very soon.
The Oregonian is not very Nike-friendly in general. But it calls the attention how in recent layoffs articles they have not mentioned Nike .

Interesting comments everywhere.
“This is getting out of hand. Huge company wanting to put shareholders first which is fine but these reorgs are getting out of control. If you work at Accenture consider a target on ur back”
“Accenture is pushing all work possible offshore”
"’Bro, you're old...get out!’
Seriously, just say it. We all know you're thinking it.”
“This is somewhat comical because Accenture came into my company 4 years ago and replaced 17 of us with offshore resources.”
“They are a cancer. My company almost hired them but we had enough pull to with management to convince them to go with an onshore only company that probably saved our jobs”
“This is what accenture does. Replaces manual tasks with their own monkeys offfshore.”
“These weren’t manual tasks. We were lead and principal engineers across the IT function. They just figured they could wing it with people who had never used a computer before. I’m beyond caring about how much they must have sc--wed up.”
“I have dealt with Accenture at my current company. Through a common client we had. Accenture was not helpful in doing work in a timely fashion for requests we were working through with the client and ultimately this led to the client churning. They they were not happy about how long it was taking to get things set up, when a lot of the time was spent waiting on Accenture. On top of that Accenture was not as helpful with working with our product as the client was expecting.
So honestly, out of the partner vendors our clients use, Accenture was the worst by far.”

“So goodbye to CEOs and Directors who don’t know sh-t all about Ai ? lol”
“correct 🤣 not a word they knw”
How "Sweet" of you to think that.”
“How the he-l can the define who CANNOT BE RETRAINED? What absolute nonsense is this?!? Tf?”

Just like McKinsey, ACN goes around making clients cut jobs (reduce personnel), while they stretch project so they can keep banking for as long as possible without tangible outcomes, there’s nothing AI-magnificent about any of this.
Oh well...
Just do it already!
Anyone have any reliable info about layoffs next week? Lots of rumors but no facts. Departments? Any truth to it?
Unfortunately the foot soldiers of the company are the ones suffering. They do the work and still struggle with day to day expenses.
I’m definitely not in the state of mind, or the life circumstances, to spend weeks worrying nonstop about my job. I’d rather just find out now and be done with it. I need this job badly, since finding something else is near impossible these days. But I also need my sanity and my health. Shouldn’t leadership at least be able to make the process faster and more efficient?
There’s a LinkedIn article circling around my department right now of the top 10 highest paid insurance CEOs of 2024. Good ole Maurice is #1, taking home more than 40 million dollars. Seems to me if he just took a measly pay cut of 10 million he could stop the layoffs and probably even onboard more people. The enemy of the working class is the billionaire, and we’re seeing the impact of that in real time.
Here’s a link to the article: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/dutchrojas_top-10-highest-paid-health-insurance-ceos-activity-7355559494208180225-V4fc?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_ios&rcm=ACoAAACyFcsBZ8JcsDslVrsTQz0TcwWqK31N26w
I'm sad about the layoffs. I was laid off from my last role. It was very painful. Very painful. And I had a lot of anger and felt betrayed.,
I've seen vicious criticisms towards Maurice, Manika, Shannon, John and Kelley. Let's back off the mean comments directed to them. Personally, I think it is misplaced and not warranted. I remember COVID and how we all in HR thought we would be laid off. Yet those same leaders came together and not only saved our jobs. We also got financial help. They let us WFH for 18 months. I for one am very grateful to them.
Layoffs are horrible but they are something that even MCOs aren't immune to. HCSC is not a perfect company but I think it's the best of the industry. I would work no where else. I have worked for other MCOs and I can say that we are treated better and our benefits are better than my experiences. These layoffs do not make HCSC a bad company.
Once again, I'm very sorry for those laid off and pray that you land
back on your feet quickly. I have said a prayer for the people impacted by this. I miss my laid off coworkers.
Citigroup has relocated nearly 1,000 tech jobs to India following 3,500 layoffs in China. With AI adoption and skilled Indian teams, the bank strengthens its GCCs, creating new opportunities and making India a key hub for global banking tech.

Thank god. I feel for everyone who was affected, and I truly hope things work out for each of them. As for the rest of us, we desperately need a breather. Yesterday was brutal, and it takes days to even begin regaining a semblance of normalcy after that much anxiety and worry.
For those officially let go, please confirm or share if you’ve received official promised email (assuming it’s Docusign) and if it includes list of those titles let go.
Yes layoffs happened in the Texas offices on Sept 24 and 25th. More layoffs are rumored.
Can anybody provide more info on this, please? What will be hit next and when?
AI can’t do half of what it’s hyped to do. But what would the top know? If they’d been in touch with reality, we wouldn’t be in the mess we’re in today. Like every other clueless corpo, they’ve bought into the fantasy of machines replacing people. The only real outcome? Our jobs get offshored.
200mm hit hard this quarter, 300mm will get a reorg in Q4. For those that survived, don’t get too comfortable. Plan was always a 2 phase reduction and reorg.
Rumors are flying, and people are making all kinds of claims. It’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s just noise. Given the trajectory, I wouldn’t be surprised if more cuts are coming, but it would help to know something, anything, so we could at least prepare. If leadership is planning more layoffs, the least they could do is give us a heads-up. Otherwise, we’ll just keep driving ourselves crazy speculating. Not that they care.
Does anybody else find that interesting? I wonder how much they had to pay to keep this under wraps.
They can send as many jobs as they want to cheaper countries, but they can't escape the low quality they'll be getting with it. They're walking out priceless institutional knowledge with these layoffs, and that decision will come back to bite them in the a-s, I guarantee you.
Senior leaders take credit for functional processes along with their minions, but in reality there are a ton of manual touches, fixes and workarounds by the working class folks who have subject matter knowledge. They keep riffing the workers before they obtain the knowledge and try to turn on AI. But AI can’t compute because the fake “functional” processes that the Execs lie about don’t really exist. They should own their kluges and get to functioning documented processes first before attempting AI but they likely already said things were working and complete to get their big bonuses. Letters and benefit configuration are two examples where they wiped the team and lost the knowledge and are still paying the price, I think accums could be another. As always business will try to blame IT for not implementing requirements they never told them about. I think it would be more appropriate to say they have RIffed people for a promise of AI or a dream of AI, but the jury is still out. Peak will be very interesting!
Exactly what @15d+1k5hc5789 said.
At least 2 senior planners and several in the buying org quit this month.
I know of a half-dozen more interviewing, haha. They were warned this would happen with RTO and leadership decided to do layoffs anyway.
Please have your inputs and observations on layoff situation on Friday (26th Sept) here.
Fridays were supposed to be happy days. This Friday is gloomy!
Obviously they’re working around WARN in the U.S. but any idea? When Lehi was hit you could put info together from severance sheets. Wondering how concerned remaining employees should be. And investors.
This is all disheartening. There are terrible managers who should’ve been let go, but instead hardworking and honest people are laid off. These decisions were made because of poor leadership to begin with, who holds managers and senior execs accountable?
Four Schwabbies get into a car. The car won’t start.
Director: We should reduce headcount.
Manager: It just needs a coaching memo.
HR: Have you tried asking it to start?
NSD: Let's all get out of the car and get back in.
How much of it do you believe is real vs excuse vs intended for hype (or anything else you consider appropriate)?
