Forum

I was waiting to see some posts on Forum but I don’t so I thought I’ll ask. Who’s paying $3,000 in registration fees for this event? I was under the impression that this was complimentary for all clients. I’m seeing marketing for this event show up quite late in the game which makes me think it was not well planned. Anyway be here attending forum and how it’s going?

A Simple Request

"The purpose of this site is to provide a space for anyone who'd like to discuss the possibility, likelihood or impacts of layoffs in a company of interest." - TheLayoff.com

It is not supposed to be a revenge site where people go to post rumors, speculation, lies, or even truths about other things. It isn't a suggestion box or anonymous tip line. So I am respectfully asking those of you who have forgotten the reason why this website exists to please stop hijacking it to promote other agendas. The noise is drowning out the information this site is supposed to provide. Thanks.

Can we focus on SAP and layoffs, please?

There are so many trolls trying to distract from the really important discussions around (potential or real) layoffs and how to cope. Please stop this. The important discussions are drowned out.

Two kinds of distractions are especially not needed: fake Indians (used to discredit Indians instead of focusing on the real opponents: the board and upper management), and na-i postings (often referring to the AfD, which is a really despicable lot of people no decent person would ever want to have contact with).

Stop this trolling. Do not drown the important discussions with this drivel.

Thanks.

Which unions have you reached out to?

The board is getting harder to use due to what looks like coordinated astroturfing—which may be the whole point. So, I’ve pivoted to calling union reps and coworkers directly, since I'm not based near a major office. The reception has been remarkably positive. People are bringing up the Teamsters, UAW, and others. If you're exploring this route, start at the AFL-CIO site (https://aflcio.org/formaunion); it’ll point you toward local chapters.

Employee Forum June 2026

So, did anyone else leave the employee forum this morning feeling utterly transformed? Because clearly management thinks a few PowerPoint slides and some forced enthusiasm are all it takes to convince us this “transformation” is the best thing since sliced bread. At least they finally admitted the culture is circling the drain—growth, I guess.

And that shiny new building they want to plop down in Scona? A pocket‑sized QP with all the fancy amenities. Because nothing says “we value you” like spending a fortune on a building instead of, you know… fixing the actual problems. Can’t wait to see what astronomical number they pull out of the hat this time.

Do the view counters here get reset or rollover?

It seems some posts show around 9000 views then the next day or so show a much smaller number. Merely curious, there at so many views right now as the date of the next purported layoffs (Tuesday) loom.

Many have been generous with inside information, if you can share, please do.

Anyone else having trouble on this forum now

This forum won’t let me reply on my own post I keep getting this and it’s been over an hour:

“You have recently submitted a post. In order to prevent spamming, posting is limited to one post per minute. Please submit again in a short while.”

Too political

This site has become nothing what it was intended to be. Stop with the politics and your “ever so important” and “only you are right” views. It’s a board about employment and layoffs. Can we focus and stop being so childish please? Anyone?? What have you heard? Who should be concerned about their jobs etc…? That is what this is here for people. You’re filling it up with nonsense trying to cause political debates that will never be solved here. It’s not an outlet for your frustrations. Let’s be grown up professionals.

Open Thread for June 1st RTO:

Here we go! Day one of ELT's move to get more of us to quit. Post your concerns, complaints, funny stories, frustrations, etc in this thread so we can keep the comment section active for our neighborhood ELT trolls who love to lurk here (they are useless anyway, so might as well give them something to do today). Good luck everyone, and enjoy the collaboration this week! 🤡

PS. r/st louis (edward jones) has a post from a few days ago that links this site if reddit is more your scene.

We need to start ignoring bad actors here

This site was once a community and source of knowledge. It’s in a tailspin of conspiracy theories.

  • When someone makes a reference to an exec from 3 years ago, and is no longer here. Ignore them.

  • When someone makes an outrageous claim like “30% of us will be laid off” - do the math. That would be the largest layoff in USAA history times 3. That’d be nearly 11,000 employees to be laid off this year. They have no details. No sources. Just vague fear and round numbers. Ignore them.

  • When someone is posting about a single person every week. Ignore them. That’s an unhinged person.

  • We need to collectively stfu about RTO. There’s quite literally nothing we can do about it. The company has moved on. Society has moved on. Every other company has moved on.

If your post is reported to blind, you are banned

Turns out when HR shills report your post, you are also banned for two days-- this does explain why so many OPs go quiet when their posts are removed. Anyway, that's why I've gone quiet.

I did not delete the post "Making a list of what we know." It was reported. Not unfairly, I might add!

Sincerely, OP

Purpose of This Site - Gone Off the Rails

This site should be one that provides information for those who have been affected by a layoff. It has devolved into name calling, bashing the company, and just saying mean things about current employees. Seriously, if you just want to say mean stuff, go post on Twitter.

There are repeater posters on here that are doing nothing but trying to scare people that all is lost. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

The number of views is impressive, over 17500 for one post alone

Many of the posts have views in the 3000 plus range today alone. It seems that people are sharing this site. There is power in sharing accurate information. There is another call tomorrow. Would someone attending please post about it? Be kind to yourselves, you deserve it.
