No leaders of people, just senior managers who have no idea of what actually occurs in their own office and couldn’t identify half the people they see on the way to the bathroom. 12-14 hour days are the norm and expected. Run far, far away from this company, unless you are filipino. Then you have a future. Or maybe if you want to do client service. They’ll need to hire more there to explain to all the clients why Rome is burning and the service has become dogshit. Side note, they’ll do a terrible job explaining because they have no idea what is going on. just mouthpieces…. My advice, get out now, especially if you are in the US or Poland. The founders of SS are rolling in their graves at what Uncle Ron and Clair Williams have done to the place.

I have a question. I was part of a reorg where my US based team will now be lead by a manager in India. A. Is this happening to anyone else? I presume this isn't promising for our future. B. My direct manager is still in the US, however the org chart doesn't show that he reports to the India manager? Is there a reason for that?

Dan's December 2025 layoff impacted 90% of young talented individuals in india. Who used to support across the time working with US folks. While senior went untouched in the layoffs. Doing nothing just pretending they are only key pillars.

Over 6 months into having a BP Staff TSI Engineer take over from a UK based Engineer in my team who was let go.

Myself, and increasingly several others from other disciplines are needing to step in and coach, and correct mistakes from our TSI. Mistakes that rarely happened before and if they did could be sorted over a desk not over time zones.

The bar to entry has been set so incredibly low just to get bodies in chairs.

Yes, they are on 40% of the money, but the output is half, the support required is 4x and it’s demoralising us who are left.

If this is good business I’ll have my hand firmly in the air at the next EOI.

Heard big re-org coming to offshore the teams to india

I used to think that people who complained about all the Indians were racist. But the last six months have been ridiculous. Each wave of new hires is like 90% Indian in tech. There is something seriously wrong and dishonest with a company that hires like that. Managers pretend like they don’t see it. They get rid of the long timers- US citizens and replace them with Indians over here. It’s getting worse not better.

It's coming by 15th. Affects UHC/Optum Tech. They have already hired a large number of people in India and now laying off US employees.

A commenter alluded to it in a post: while we fussed over RTO rumors the bank is finalizing the details to hire 5000 FTEs in India. Remember this is a place that kept wages flat and laid off people ruthlessly for "operational efficiency" but has no problem committing to sending thousands of jobs out of the country.

All hardware development is in the works of being moved to India. Sites such as Tullahoma will be reduced to near minimum manning and all devices will be developed in India entirely.

The real number of layoffs in Jeff Simon's org just on 3/24 is roughly 600, not 400 as reported in other threads.

But don't worry, the India build out is full steam ahead. Shamelessly, they even got rid of people who went to India to help stand up the office.
