Who Else Is Having Their Remote ADA Accommodation Illegally Ripped from Them?

So I was approved for a full-time ongoing telecommuting (remote) accommodation back in 2023. Recently, they decided to force me to "recertify" my accommodation just so they could rip it from me. I've heard anything from it "no longer being the pandemic" as the reasoning to being a "business need". Oh really? Interesting how the pandemic wasn't mentioned at all when my accommodation was approved on a full-time and ongoing basis. Also very interesting how you can't supply documentation about the "business need" to be in office. Equally as interesting... 83% of those with my same job title, therefore, similar job description, and they're all listed as remote.

So who else is disabled and/or chronically ill and has had their remote accommodation denied in 2025?

HR involvement in PIP

After being a Star Performer till mid year, I was handed a PIP for the latter half of the year and put in Groupo 5 and served PIP. Through out the PIP for 2 months, HR did not show up even once, and after 60 days, I was terminated with notice period.
Again, HR was not involved at all. Is this normal?

Did Any Layoffs Occur Yesterday 10/6/25?

My team had a very short notice 15 minute teams call yesterday with our Sr. Manager letting us know that another different Sr. Manager on our team was no longer with the company effective immediately.

The Sr. Manager who was let go regularly interacts with our entire team so the main point of the call was to instruct us who to reach out to directly going forward for issues the former Sr. Manager used to deal with.

To all of our knowledge the Sr. Manager was an extremely high performer and was very well liked by our Director and Executive Director.

Trying to figure out if this was a one off or part of a larger batch of layoffs.

Is what I've heard about the OK account true?

I'm a somewhat new hire -- off the rip I've already heard all kinds of things about how inefficient the teams are, how useless the managers are, how petty managers are towards each other, senior staff/TFALs are slave driven to meet impossible deadlines, and onboarding/training is nonexistent. Is this account really that deep in trouble?

Dan Schulman is stepping in as Verizon’s new CEO. At PayPal he built a reputation for being employee-centric, even raising wages and improving benefits for frontline staff. He talks about purpose and fairness, not just profit. Is this the turning of the page for Verizon?
