Is anything happening?

The mentioned they wanted to be done woth everything as soon as possible (end of fiscal year?). We are approaching the end of October and it seems nothing has happened. Does anybody know if anything has happened? Within my group it seems like the news has been forgotten.

Are the rumors about not that many drivers taking buyouts true?

None of the gossip I’m hearing makes much sense. Some people say no more than 1,000 drivers nationwide took the offer. Where I am, they’re actually looking to hire more. In other places, people are apparently complaining about too much OT because they’re understaffed. And yet, everyone keeps talking about more layoffs coming. I’m honestly confused, and scared for my job, no matter how much I don’t like it.

Rumor has it that Dell plans to implement a GPS program on your systems.

I heard through the grapevine that there is an NDA project in the works that will allow Dell to install a GPS type program on everybody's computers so that they can monitor if you go to office and for how long. As for remote employees, they will be required to do an on-screen "puzzle" type thing to prove you are still at your computer; once an hour.

Nothing concrete but, this is just what I've heard.

We are off topic!

This is about information on the upcoming layoffs and the future of Paramount. Not a place to complain about politics. Now let’s get back to that. Are we still going on the assumption of Halloween week or is there a new date? Are there any new rumors we can discuss?

DOH!

State Farm faces allegations of poor ethics related to claims handling and discriminatory practices, including underpaying claims, delaying payments, and potentially using biased AI algorithms. These issues have led to customer complaints, lawsuits, and formal investigations by state regulators, such as the California Department of Insurance, which is examining the company's claims process for wildfire victims. Critics point to issues like low settlement offers, poor communication, and unjustified demands for information as signs of poor business practices.
