I'm not one of them, I'm just curious, since some got such distant final dates.

VSPs to be offered this month
Good news! Leadership has decided to offer VSP to the old people (55+) It's time to move into the future and get rid of the old people who don't do nothing.
Too all my non VSP friends, good luck tomorrow and may the odds ever be in your favor
Seriously, been praying for everyone who is not VSP eligible. Gonna be a rough one.
Non VSP
As someone who was not eligible for the vsp, how likely is it that id be laid off instead of someone who was eligible but chose not to take it? Im a CSA ( customer service advocate) and no one on my team has received a meeting invite.Any word on how they’re laying people off? Is it merit based or longevity? It makes no sense to lay off the people who accepted the vsp.
Germany Check in - VSP
Hallo Deutschland,
When is round 2 of the VSP/Freiwilligenprogramm starting? We are behind schedule already, any infos?
SIU, Compliance, and similar departments
Any word on the SIU and similar departments? I was told there would be changes in all departments related to compliance like SIU, etc. my understanding was that there was going to be a reporting structure and work shift because of the people that took the VSP. I haven't heard anything yet for the ones that stayed behind but, has anyone heard anything?
Migration and VSP
I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling this way but it was a huge mistake to do the VSP in the middle of a system migration. Every single day I am dealing with migration issues, I cannot get my ‘regular’ work done, and clients are losing patience…understandably so. I don’t get the feeling that this is going to be over anytime soon.
The silence is deafening.....
Everything on my team has been so quiet....as a team it still has not been released with who took VSP. No mention of next steps for those that requested earlier end dates (all were given dates well into 2027- and the business need is NOT there as we are slow every single day). No one is talking about anything, its just business as usual....I should be happy about that I guess, but I just want them to rip off the band aid and let the people go now who want to go (VSP) and then restructure and move on. We were told there would be no layoffs in August for behavioral health, so that part is good, but of course no one could speak to what happens come September, October, November, etc........
Does anyone have any insight?
I'm an employee under BTS. We've had a bunch of people take the VSP. Wendy left (so curious what happened there). A VP Katie took the VSP. My question is: I've interviewed for an apartment manager gig. I would hate the job with a passion. I get a discount on rent (potentially free rent in the future but they haven't confirmed). I would get way less pay, less holidays off, less pto. My thing is I love what I do and I'm even helping a new department who is already struggling with less employees now. I'm a new Centene employee (came over from another company's layoff). My question, does anyone have any insight for the chance of layoffs? I would hate to turn down a job just to be let go here but I would also hate my life if I took that job.
My team is working OT this week
We still haven't been told anything, aside from letting our PL know if we accepted the VSP.
Our queues are swamped ( production) and we are missing time frame, so we've been in overtime. Which leads me to believe we are needed, and maybe safe?
This is all so stressful.
Warn notice
Question……if centene was actually going to lay people off wouldnt they legally have to file a Warn Notice?? Do you think they’re trying to hide doing that with the VSP? Theres a lot of chatter about the week of the 10th being when theyll announce a layoff
What happens if you don't sign the VSP papers?
I think this has probably already been answered but what would happen if you don't sign the papers? Like I thought my VSP would get denied not pushed out a year if my position wasn't going to be laid off. If I don't sign is my last day still my last day?
This past week has been eye opening!
I did not take VSP, but after what I have witnessed in the past week I truly wish I had.
Some people being told they cannot tell people they took VSP when some are. Teams finding out their People Leader is leaving via the rumor mill before they are told by them because "We want to be able to tell them where they are going to land", two weeks later they have no idea who they will report to.
High level VP's in charge of hundreds to thousands of people not seeming to have a clue what the new org structures will be or are doing a really good job of playing d-mb.
Get your s--- together, lock yourself in a room until you have a damn plan for those that will be left.
So many about to be blindsided by ISP next week from Mon-Wed that truly think they are safe because they did not take VSP.
Best of luck to all of you who chose to leave and to those that did not chose to leave but are on secret lists out there. You will be OK, and better off after what our leaders have shown us this past couple of weeks!
Schedule change
Can someone shed some light on the schedules?! Im not one who was eligible for vsp, but my coworker is but she did NOT take the vsp. Neither of us can see our schedule past 9/4!!! I have not been giving a separation date, an RIFD notice or a meeting with my supervisor. This is weird as previously ive been able to see my schedule at least 2 months out
I don't even care anymore
I've become numb to it all. Lay me off. Make me wait for a VSP date for a year. Even fire me. I don't give a damn. Not sure if it's a good or a bad thing, but I just don't have the energy to care anymore .
R2B and Honestly Disappointed There’s No VSP
I’m in R2B, and honestly I’m kind of pi---d I keep missing every severance opportunity. I know that probably sounds crazy, especially to those who were actually impacted.
First off, I’m genuinely sorry to everyone who was affected. I hope everyone lands on their feet and finds something even better soon.
That said, I wish Verizon would offer a voluntary separation program (VSP) instead of making people wait and wonder. I know there are employees like me who would seriously consider taking it, and it could help avoid some involuntary layoffs. It seems like it could be a better outcome for everyone.
Any luck negotiating separation date?
I was just curious if anyone has called the VSP line and tried getting an earlier separation date? I asked my PL and she said it was worth a try but wanted to ask first. Mine is May 2027 but dangit do I want December 2026.
Regrets who's got them? Do you regret taking the VSP? What about the people that didn't take it?
It seems like many people are already regretting their choice.
VSP packages ?
Hello friends. Anyone have information on current VSP packages in the US, or if any are being offered at all?
Customer service advocates
Any CSAs hear anything? I havent seen or heard about any customer service advocates getting hit? Not member services but people who have customer service advocate behind their name on teams? Nearly my whole team has been here over 2 years so idk if they accepted the vsp or declined it. Not sure if any of us will have a job soon
Another "Next Step" Program recently announced
Heard that there was another "Next Step" program recently announced, to start on September 1, 2026 and wrap-up on December 31, 2026. Not sure what organizations are included, but this end date undoubtedly suggests that an RA is being planned for 1Q27. Seems it's also been expanded to include Band 8s (maybe even Band 7s?), whereas the previous one cut-off at Band 9.
Anyone have any more details?
Department TH Scheduled Mid-September. Does This Mean Department Is Safe?
I’m grasping at straws here so take it easy on me in the responses please. I’ve noticed from reading posts on here that a few departments are having townhalls in August which is when RIF is allegedly supposed to occur. My department doesn’t have any townhalls scheduled until September after the initial VSP separation date and it’s 1 of those choose between 2 different dates type of meetings. I feel as though if we were laid off it would be 1 day only, the option to choose is making me feel as though we won’t be affected by RIF’s. This whole fiasco has been a disaster! I don’t want to dox myself but I work in PHCO.
August RIF after VSP accepted??
I wonder if anyone on the RIF list would become part of the August RIF / involuntary layoff after VSP accepted and approved if we had an extended exit date? This would allow Centene to save on the “enhanced benefits” and since they are great at changing things.
PI Updates
Any new organizational updates from PI?
Another 10% is leaving on top of all the layoffs this year already. Any word on additional RIF?
A couple ppl have been able to move their VSP date which seems crazy. We were told Dec 11 but several have now moved to 9/4.
Some new teams have already been formed while some remain untouched with no new direction. Are we sitting ducks? Our leaders are leaving and we aren’t being told anything.
Anyone else here being told anything at all?
Also KT suing Centene? And naming KC?
Next
So considering that the originally presented timeline is out the window, can any of the PL shed light on when will they notifying people that did not apply for VSP that they are being laid off?
VSP Package Arrival Date?
Anyone know when the VSP package is supposed to hit our bank account? Any info helpful.
August doom date
Im not sure if it’s because im not someone whos getting laid off, or it just hasn’t caught up to me yet…..but im wondering where everyone’s getting this august 12th-14th date as the timeframe we’re all supposedly supposed to know if involuntarily layoffs will happen ?I check my emails nearly every hour since this whole thing started and all ive gotten is im not eligible for vsp. Thats it, i see so many posts even on facebook of people talking about what and when their separation dates are. But i get no information, my sup tells my team nothing. I work in claims talking to the providers and do authorizations, so is it just certain departments with this information or are some PL/supervisors more willing to talk?
for those accepting the VSP are you doing cobra insurance or looking at marketplace?
seems like we have to wait to get a COBRA packet in the mail from Centene before electing.. so I'm like is there a gap in care??? and wondering if we still qualify for marketplace if we do cobra for the 3 months.
Already Metric Changes Anyone else?
We had a metric change. Those that did not accept VSP is asking why this wasn't shared before they shared metric changing they would have accepted the VSP if they had known.
How much better is VSP compared to regular severance?
I'm one of those who didn't get an offer, but I'm curious. If somebody is laid off before their VSP date, how much do they stand to lose?
Fideliscare NY
A few people took VSP and others did not.
But so many rumors about the future of Fideliscare. The ways things are looking it’ doesn’t look good
Remember when we could actually focus only on our work?
Not think about layoffs, reorgs, VSPs, etc.? Good times.
Washington VSP
If you work for Washington and were approved for VSP what is your departure date approved?
Your thoughts on VSP
Someone posted that they thought VSP was an epic failure but didn't explain why. What are your thoughts? Whether you took it or were left to deal with the fallout. For the eligible, how has your life changed after taking it? If you were eligible and did not accept it, any regrets?
Question for those who were approved for VSP but don’t have another job lined up
I know some of you were already probably on the edge of retirement so this is not for you.
My questions are for those who cannot yet retire. I’m genuinely curious as these are the things that stopped me from even opening the VSP email.
Do you have another job lined up? If not, why would you take it? How long do you think it will take you to get another job? Are you okay with it not being remote?
How do you feel regarding the fact that the amount you’re shown will be taxed? How long do you think it will last?
I know some days my job can be frustrating but I love it. Outside of a few people who don’t pull their weight, overall it’s really not that bad. I have great leadership and a good team and overall a wonderful department in which my team is a part of. I am paid pretty good for what I do. There is never a boring day. I’ve got over 13 years of knowledge and experience and yet still I learn new things. And I get to do it all at home.
Why on earth would you want to leave? I really want to know. There are some people leaving with VSP I am happy that took it because I don’t have to hold their hand anymore, but others, I am somewhat surprised learning they will voluntarily leave but even more taken aback that some of them don’t have anything else lined up. I don’t know some of them well enough to ask this because I am not close to them and feel like asking is inappropriate.
So, I’m asking it here to those who will maybe answer because I don’t want to be unemployed in this economy. If they want me gone, I’m gonna make them do it to me. No way am I volunteering myself.
Call center reps
Ive heard from some people who heard from the higher ups that the call center reps are safe even with those who did or didnt take the vsp??? Is that true?! If so why would they be safe from restructuring and not other departments?
Company Equipment
I wonder how long we will have to wait for the VSP to be paid out after 9/4/26. They will require verification of our equipment return first, and it will only be paid out on a regular pay date. It could possibly be a month or more before they pay any of us. Hopefully we will receive our severance packet soon.
Did not receive VSP offer - now what?
Can someone please tell me if we didn't receive VSP offer, what does it mean? Wasn't targets met? Didn't 1200 employees already leave Centene.
I didn't receive 08/12 meeting invite. What does that mean for the SC team?
Separation date for 2027
For those who got a separation date past September are you actually planning on sticking it out? I’m so torn since my separation is for May 2027. I had planned on hopefully getting the VSP with a separation in September. Now to be stuck in limbo until May with trying to meet performance and having it held over my head that I can be let go without a package at any time. I honestly regret accepting the VSP and wish I would’ve taken my chances at being laid off.
PTO and VSP
Wondering if they'll pay PTO if we live in States where it's mandated? Anyone has thoughts, experience, or comments on this?
