Great. That’s really going to do wonders for morale.
USB opening GCCs in Chennai and Hyderabad?
Heard from grapevines that U.S. Bank is making moves to open GCCs (Global Capability Centers) of their own in Chennai and Hyderabad, in hush-hush deals. Could this be true? If so, HIRE (Halting International Relocation of Employment) Act, bill which... — read more
3Q Financials
I’m confused about what’s next. We have a mediocre-to good quarter financially but in the details there is info about us losing customers with close to 2-3% attrition per quarter. Does that mean our profits were the results of financial engineering... — read more

Badge swipes
How are they accurately measuring these? My coworker runs outside 6 times a day so does each time he badges in count towards his 12 day a month requirement? Does reporting show like 40 badge swipes?
Do we have any clue about the number of people laid off?
I’ve heard all kinds of numbers, with some rumors going as high as 7000. Nobody in my immediate team was affected, but we’re a fairly small group.
Areas affected by layoffs?
I know Risk has been affected. Any other areas so far? Mix of in-office and remote? Please share what you might know.
No one will claim to have lost a good job
I have great empathy for victims being let go. Ageism is alive and well. No one will claim to have lost a good job though. You lost a job with high stress, little chance of success, zero training, impossible deadlines, plenty of unhappiness all... — read more

What's next?
Can somebody please post severance info?
Just to make sure nothing has changed and there have been no reductions.
So predictable
We have people who can be cut who contribute absolutely nothing. People who go from one meeting to another regurgitating the same points over and over again with nothing new being said or decided. Yet the ones being cut are the people who do actual... — read more

OCTOBER LAYOFFS
Bring on the layoffs and reorgs… been hearing rumors for several months and just ready to find out my path heading towards 2026. Best of luck everyone.
Why does ambition only get you in trouble here?
The higher-ups only care about keeping things the same and maybe promoting a few kissasses. Everybody else is just out of luck.
Came to know that leadership has asked to give list of people who can be laid off
One of the directors in EACX mentioned that they have been asked to share a list of potential employees who are not critical to the team and can be let go if required. Not sure if it is bank wide or just some orgs.

How much did the bank pay for GK to be recognized in American Banker??
She’s a terrible leader and widely disliked for her utter disdain for the workers. “Leading” the bank but in the wrong direction, the bank is a total mess across the board with her incompetence. Such fake and purchased recognition.
RM&C layoffs?
Does anyone know if there will be any layoffs in RM&C next week? Everyone is stretched thin as is.
Underwriters
With the streamlining of underwriting within Business Banking the past year, I would think this group would likely be at risk of layoffs in the somewhat near future.
Layoffs Likely Next Week
Hearing it's going to be big org changes. Also, all you publicly complaining about RTO and trying to protest coming into the office, you will get the response of finding out who is in charge.

CEO Fireside Chat Call
“Technical difficulties” ended the call early and a recording will be available at a later date. Was there fear she would, once again, go off script? Perhaps USB wants to be able to edit her responses to avoid another public speaking fiasco?
Hoping for layoffs
I'm sorry, but I'm tired and I want out - and I want them to pay me to leave. I've given enough to this place to walk away with nothing.
