Title says leadership...should say LACK of Leadership.
With all thee
With all these laborer layoffs I have wondered where the leadership is.
Local...nothing...not even crickets.
General chairman is same as Local.
Now for the real question...NCFO President.
Mike "Jimmy Hoffa" Pistone! The son in law of previous union president that was "handed" this position. Hasn't been seen nor heard from since 2021.
And good Ole Travis Prethos is dry effn every laborer out there being a Union/Company man.
Time for change at the top.

Finished either way
If we don't change quickly, we're finished. If we change in the wrong direction, we're also finished. So either way, we're finished.

Convergence is almost done. What next?
The convergence is coming to an end. Do you have any updates on what is expected to happen with the teams involved in the convergence? What about contractors? What about internal employees? And what about the International teams?
Knight Cancer Institute Cuts Jobs Amid Strategic Shift
The Knight Cancer Institute recently eliminated 59 positions. These cuts primarily affected the Cancer Early Detection Advanced Research Center. The institute is shifting its focus from early detection research to cancer care. This change occurs despite a recent $2 billion donation. OHSU stated the donation was for new programs, not existing ones.

Spiegel's memo
Dear Team,
Today we are announcing changes that will impact approximately 1,000 team members at Snap, including 16% of our full time employees, in addition to closing more than 300 open roles. This is an incredibly difficult decision, and I am deeply sorry to the colleagues who will be leaving us. You have made important contributions to Snap, and we are committed to supporting you through this transition.
Last fall, I described Snap as facing a crucible moment, requiring a new way of working that is faster and more efficient, while pivoting towards profitable growth. Over the past several months, we have carefully reviewed the work required to best serve our community and partners, and made tough choices to prioritize the investments we believe are most likely to create long-term value. As a result of these changes, we expect to reduce our annualized cost base by more than $500 million by the second half of 2026, helping to establish a clearer path to net-income profitability.
While these changes are necessary to realize Snap’s long-term potential, we believe that rapid advancements in artificial intelligence enable our teams to reduce repetitive work, increase velocity, and better support our community, partners, and advertisers. We have already witnessed small squads leveraging AI tools to drive meaningful progress across several important initiatives, including Snapchat+, enhanced ad platform performance, and efficiency improvements in our Snap Lite infrastructure.
If you are part of our North America team, please work from home today. In the US, impacted team members will receive an email notification within the next hour, including information about next steps. For non-US locations, you will receive additional details about next steps from leadership and HR.
To our departing colleagues: thank you. Your hard work has helped shape Snap, and we are deeply grateful for your contributions. For U.S.-based team members who are leaving, we will provide four months of severance, healthcare coverage, and equity vesting, along with career transition support. Outside the U.S., we will follow local processes and seek to provide comparable support aligned with local norms.
To everyone continuing on this journey: change of this magnitude and at this speed is never easy and it will not be seamless. Thank you for your resilience, compassion, and commitment to one another, and to the community and partners we serve. Our responsibility is to move forward with clarity, empathy, and determination as we build a faster, stronger, and more durable Snap for the long term.

More Changes?
I heard there were going to be even more transformational changes being rolled out in June/July, especially within Global Ops. Any insight here?
Smoke and Mirrors
TGS leaders sing songs about the need to to drive technology in support of the business but in reality all that they do is working in their individual interest and making sure they milk the company as much as they can. All of this is just empty words because the moment you try to push things forward it'll get squashed because change disrupts the status quo which was carefully built to work for the folks who built it. What a horrendous way to lead.
Doug Fields is OUT!
The modern Ford Motor Co. has emerged, CEO Jim Farley said Wednesday as the company detailed some restructuring and said it will refresh 80% of its North American vehicle volume by 2029 as a part of its efforts to compete against new competitors like Chinese brands.
Former Apple Inc. executive Doug Field, Ford's chief EV, digital and design officer, will depart over the next month as Ford prepares to launch next year its new Universal Electric Vehicle platform.

New Blood needed
This stupid company is always organic meaning, all the Execs are long timers (CEO, CTO, CFO..), so they have the same narrow minded mentality.
The company needs some people from outside who have vision and know how to do business. The current mo--ns do not fit for their positions and will only get worse...
Valmont CFO Change April 2026
Anyone know why Tom Liguori was replaced as CFO all of a sudden?
Cigna Wrecked Express Scripts
Cigna wrecked Express Scripts. Used to be nice and simple when my health care coverage and my prescription coverage were separate. Now it's just one big cluster F. Service is terrible and all this waiting by the mail box for forced mail order prescriptions. I travel a lot and now I'm at the mercy for waiting for it to arrive in the mail, when ever that is. I hate having to schedule my departures because I'm waiting for the mailman. I can't skip medication or go for days without it. Something has to change! I miss the good old days when I could run to my local pharmacy and pick up my prescript at MY convenience. Now I have to WAIT and WAIT and hope the mailman arrives on time or whenever that is to get my meds. You can't reorder too early because the app will tell you it's too early to reorder!! There's been many times my supply runs out while I'm gone and the "maybe" arrival time is just after I'm gone. No meds for a week or two. They sit in the mailbox for anyone to take. In the heat or the cold. SOMETHING has to change!!!
