Let’s light JR up on this call today. Doubt we get truthful answers, but would be fun to watch her squirm.
They changed the rules so now managers can only give out a finite amount of "exceeds expectations" - just another way Oracle is now sc--wing over employees and making teams compete internally with each other!
That must be someone fckng joking, right?? Folks in these locations are reportedly super happy, aren't they: Canada, Costa Rica, Czechia, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Poland and the United States. That is so sick given the existing real experience, suppressed by fear in the surveys though.

Coming to a Bank near you. In fact, it is already here. Expect more love in the coming months. We are all owners. It's our culture and our people that make us special. AI and P-M are transforming our company. Always do what's "right" Rah Rah Ray Blah blah blah....
People who are approved and were given dates in late 2026 and beyond can still be laid off in involuntary layoffs? Is this true? I would be so, so pi---d if this happened to me. This feels like psychological warfare at this point. How much more inhumane can this leadership get?
Employees throughout the company are protesting the insane requirements over opening belk cards
Most employees are no longer encouraging customers to open or use this high interest card
It’s especially concerning that senior citizens are coerced and sometimes tricked into opening such a card
Grassroots protest from store managers and associates!

No surprise that reports are wrong, nothing new, this place has been dealing with that for years. Systems don't work, are not examined for the root cause of bad data and reports. More micromanagement but wait....now so many of us are on a correction action plan as a result and everyone is miserable.
This is what lack of leadership looks like, don't dig in and find out what is wrong and then communicate/educate. Instead just assume we are lazy id--ts and let the punishments begin. And they wonder why morale is in the trash.
Amazing. Is there anything wrong with the American system? Are we winning?
It pains me to say this as I think AI is the eventual ruination of the western/global economy as we know it, and the replacement will be a cold and emotionless standard which will ki-l human innovation/motivation and cause prolonged malaise.
However, if you want to continue your employment with Cigna (at least in the near term), you need to be embracing the AI tools provided to you. Bonus points if your mgr can report that you have generated some breakthrough with the use of AI.
Usage is being tracked and scores tabulated.
AI adoption (or not) will drive the next couple rounds of layoffs.

Out of 30 or so AVP, VP, SVP on the org chart there is a single non-Indian. Just one. They talked for an hour mostly about AI with little specifics about the plan. Answered a QA about rebadging and gave a 3 minute non-answer.
I don't understand how our org chart makes any sense. Why do so many people/groups report up to people that aren't really in their same area of work, or region for that matter? I can see cross-region reporting when it makes sense, but it doesn't always. Person/group A reports up to person/group B who does something else entirely. Meanwhile, there is a 100% related person/group C who does what A does and seems to be a logical fit. Why is this? I see it a lot.
Just wanted to get a pulse on how folks are doing lately. Morale seems pretty mixed across teams.
With the direction the company’s been going and the culture shifts over the past couple years, how long do you realistically see yourselves staying at U.S. Bank? And for those who are actively thinking about an exit, what’s your criteria for a role that feels worth making the jump?
It feels like a lot of people are frustrated but also sticking around because finding something with comparable pay/benefits isn’t easy. Curious how others are navigating that balance and what your thought process looks like.
When Dan the old man took over Verizon he said we were going to launch something monumental. Well here is its. It’s simplicity and one Verizon. He is calling it out new value proposition. It’s so underwhelming all I can do is laugh. His only true strategy is to cut head count gut the company and buy shares back. This is evil
I wonder what she is seeing that makes her want to abandon ship?
Wish the IGS boys and girls luck at AIP .. hopefully Trew can get the company back in shape after the big H destroyed it.
I can only imagine the horror in the new leadership's faces when they finally get an unfiltered view underneath the hood-- Chad and Girish were probably smart to stay behind.
Each asset will have to have the bottom 15% (5% of them will be PIP). HR doesn’t know how or what the process looks like. Gotta love Human Energy and The Chevron way right? Those messages are dead. It’s a dog eat dog world. Get the most out of your job and take care of your family. The Chevron of even 10 years ago is a but a distant memory. If you think high oil prices and great quarterly reports are gonna make a difference, you’re wrong
I am under no illusion that things will be better at another corp or MCO bc this is how these things work often but in NJ we just got an email from leadership saying that we have hired two more “experienced leaders to the leadership team” but this is terrible optics. We are ALL confused, anxious and left with little to no information which is how speculation and rumors start. And the day we are waiting on our VSP and people who are staying are nervous about getting canned we get info that they took on TWO (I’m sure very well paid) “leaders”- not a great look.
KC sent a TB meeting to the whole entire PI team. There’s over 400 recipients on the email…
Pat McAfee responded to criticism linking his reported high salary to recent ESPN layoffs. He expressed sympathy for colleagues who lost their jobs, stating he hates seeing such events occur. McAfee acknowledged the difficult decisions corporations make and the negative narrative surrounding his contract. He emphasized his show's pride in its work and hopes to remain an asset to ESPN. The broadcaster also noted that NFL teams do not typically conduct layoffs like corporations do.

Nobody's safe. I've watched good people get cut, bad people stay, and the rules change every quarter. I've stopped believing in job security entirely.
I'm only here because my wife's job is local. Nobody actually wants to be at Ford.
Now we're nothing but a joke. It breaks my heart to see how we're being systematically destroyed and there's nothing we can do to stop it.
Every new manager we get seems less qualified than the last. It's like they're hiring for incompetence.
Why would anyone in that group still give their all?
People join, learn the ropes, build their resume, then leave for something bigger. I've been noticing it more and more.

It feels like the first day of school! I can’t wait to login and see that email!
People I respected, and people who seemed happy until a few years ago. It tells you a lot about how much this place has changed in just a few short years. Even I'm starting to look at my options, and I've been at Optum for more than fifteen years. This is simply not the same company I joined.
I've watched this industry chew people up for 15 years. There's a better world out there.
It feels like most of the people who could get out have gotten out. The ones still here are either too scared, too stuck, or still looking. I admit, I'm in the first group. Anybody still here because they genuinely want to be?
I'm not staying just for a paycheck anymore. I want self-worth, a non-toxic environment, and a salary plus benefits that reflect what I'm worth.
I had a customer screaming at me over something that wasn't my error. My supervisor heard the whole thing, knew the customer was wrong, and still threw me under the bus to save face. He apologized to the customer for my confusion, then he pulled me aside and told me to just let it go with a lecture about customer experience. I hate it here.
Why does Uncon have such terrible reputation?
I'll probably be checking my email at midnight on Sunday lolololol
I exhausted myself at Dst just to get the same level of respect an employee at another company would recieve if they were in the bottom 5% of employees as ranked in performance. Even thought I was the top performer in my area. After I left, I did tell my supervisor's wife that he was cheating on her. I had no obligation to not disclose it. My supervisor criticized everything I did at Dst. So I did the same thing after I left, and there was plenty to criticize about him. I imitated him after i left by pointing out his faults to his supervisors in my exit interview
Or maybe a better analogy is that we're Pompei, obliviously waiting for Vesuvius to finally explode. The company just seems to by dying a slow death, going deeper and deeper underwater with each passing month. We have an invisible, inept figurehead CEO at the top. Extremely questionable decisions coming from her less than competent inner circle. Chaos at all levels due to brain drain, the Denver closing, the Accenture fiasco, pi-s poor management, non-communication and outright apathy. There's the ham-fisted rollout of our AI platform, which let's be honest was probably aimed primarily to rescue the not insignificant pool of associates who can barely write at a middle school level. In short, very little cause for optimism. Time to start lowering the lifeboats?
