Are layoffs done?
Will there be more tomorrow?
Confirmed July layoffs.
I had my manager call me today and ask for my skills and education background. He told me company is again further more looking at skills and determining who should be placed where. He never used the word layoffs or reduction. CIO tower.

Microsoft Layoffs Spare Announced Xbox Games
Microsoft is undergoing a significant restructuring across its Xbox division. This involves cutting 3,200 jobs over the next year. The company stated no first-party publicly announced games are canceled as part of these reductions. Some studios like Ninja Theory and Undead Labs are being sold to new owners. The future of their games will ultimately rest with this new ownership.

iHeartMedia Reduces New York Radio Workforce
iHeartMedia initiated widespread layoffs last week. Industry experts call these cuts the worst in radio history. The company cited "programming realignment" and new technology as reasons. This is part of a cost-savings plan targeting $150 million. Layoffs affected staff across New York, including major cities.

XBOX Plans Major Restructure, Reduces Workforce
XBOX is undergoing its most significant restructure in company history. The company plans to reduce its team by approximately 3,200 employees through FY27. This includes 1,600 immediate role eliminations and four studios leaving XBOX. Compulsion Games, Double Fine, Ninja Theory, and Undead Labs are transitioning to new ownership or independence. 21 employees, 3 managers = 1:7 ratio. Cutting to 1 manager still covers all 21. Removing 2 managers saves ~2x manager pay, no output loss.
Microsoft doing it too...
Except posted today.
According to an internal email sent to employees by Xbox CEO Asha Sharma, the division will cut 3,200 jobs by fiscal year 2027, with 1,600 of them eliminated on Monday. Sharma wrote that she understood that “a restructuring spread over an entire year creates additional difficulties, but not all the necessary changes can be made in one day.” She said the division would return to growth in 2027.

Normal layoffs
ADP has been doing layoffs for over ten years now. Once longtime employees start making to much money the company starts cutting jobs and rehires for cheaper labor.

Anyone else running into issues with Broadspire?
Not sure if this has something to do with pending layoffs?
3 weeks from today
Well since they changed the timeframe of the VSP acceptance process from the 15th to the 27th, what are people actual thoughts on the extended window now. Does it mean more people than expected accepted the VSP or not enough and they want to see what needs to be done in the "resturcturing" faze of the layoffs in August. Also I want to know to anyone who accepted the VSP if things for you on a daily basis going fwd with your team is or has changed before the 27th. I know a higher level of person will be conducting the approval process, but since the VSP list is done does any of this info will trickle down to your managers ...sups...ect. I just hope people dont start getting treated diff since they are accetoing the VSP. please share if anything diff is happening for you since the deadline has passed.. TY
20% of Xbox employees are being laid off
That's one in every five employees. 3,200 people losing their livelihoods because Microsoft fu---d up its gaming division beyond repair.
Will the acquisition of Myricx Bio cause layoffs?
$1.5 billion is a lot of money, they'll have to compensate somehow.
Leadership's head in the sand
I've noticed that layoffs only get announced if the affected group leaks it. Otherwise they just pretend it didn't happen. It's absurd.
$19 Stock Price incoming
RTO is working!! Way to go, John. You’re an absolute genius!! TDPs and real talent leaving at the most alarming clip in history, and all that’s left are the soon to be retirees. My, what great policy you have! Who wouldn’t want to work at a concentration camp like this?
Just retire already, you su-k, worthless POS.
Elevance is being destroyed
I've been here eighteen years and I'm watching everything I valued about this place disappear. The good people are leaving, projects are dying, and what's left truly isn't worth staying for.
Noticing job postings for centene
How is there a hiring freeze with new positions posted at a lower pay range? They are literally playing in our faces and it’s disappointing to witness.
Please, don't give them what they want
I think the endless surgical layoffs and toxic environment are designed to make people quit. Don't fall for it. Make them pay you to leave if that's what they want.
Trapped in a doom loop
Management only seems to know how to cut costs. They can't grow the business, so they just keep trimming people. But that approach is making the innovation problem even worse, which brings us back to square one. They're stuck in a pattern they can't seem to escape.
Cuts after the holiday
I'm on edge about whether there will be cuts this week. I wouldn't put it past them to do it just after the holiday.
This won't end soon
I keep seeing people expect this to be over soon and that things will go back to normal. It's hard not to pity them. Normal is so far behind us it's barely a dot on the horizon anymore. There's no "over soon." This horror is the new normal.
Where's the outrage outside of this forum?
I see people on this board agreeing about how bad things are, but in real life I work with people who don't seem to care. Nobody seems too worried about layoffs, the secrecy, or the eroding culture. How can anyone not be angry about this?
We can't handle more layoffs
This was said by other people as well, but I have to reiterate. We've lost so many people that the rest of us are drowning. We can't lose anymore. Unless their goal is to get all of us to quit. In that case, job well done.
Possible layoffs
Today I got an email of a mandatory meeting, there is a new partnership for customer service, and if you check the news it's Hexaware, which is a company that is known for replacing staff for AI. I'm not surprised due to hiring issues but makes sense why no one has been replaced yet.
Layoffs
I've been trying to stay on top of what's happening but I haven't seen anything concrete. Does anyone have any updates on the current layoff situation?
