It seems there might not be any layoffs from the general pool of people with the exception of those that took the VSP. VH didn’t address it and it seems the company is well position for the future. What’s your take on the townhall? Have you heard any rumors of any upcoming layoffs?

Rumor is reviews for the data governance tech reviews are being done by HR, not managers, and are going to be used as a framework for RIFS so offshoring can be accelerated.

In FL, (IBEW) VZB techs are being split up between two different management chains. Inside and Outside. Management has spent the last 5 years trying to get us to perform ALL job tasks (without training or tools), and now they've done a complete 180. So far we have been divided up at random, and not given any information except for, "now you are an Inside tech" or "outside tech". In areas where there are only 1 or 2 techs covering a huge geographical area, how would that work? Tech's will have to turn away work because its not a responsibility of his manager? How does that better serve our customers? Who comes up with this cr-p? Who's going to work Fiber cuts if there are no Outside techs in the area? Who's going to work CCR builds if there's no Inside techs in that area? Throw it at the wall and see what sticks.

How does format work in other Union areas?

Rumor is the company will be declaring a surplus to IBEW in Jan. Not surprised.

I just watched the recording and something I noticed was a rather despicable technique.

Kate said that the rumor that there will be another reorg in March isn’t true. And they can’t debunk all rumors. But the only rumor that I have ever heard is there will be massive layoffs next year after P&T is integrated into the businesses. This is a very logical thing to guess they will suddenly have extra people and they may or may not wind up needing or wanting them for their services.

She then proceeded to ask if we wanted another reorg due to all of the rumors about it, which was a “joke” in really poor taste.

Keep in mind that the LT all has media training. I believe that they intentionally debunked a rumor that makes no sense and probably doesn’t exist in order to not address the one that does. This is similar to how politicians these days will say crazy things and then walk back all but 20% of it, and then it turns out that all along their goal was to only get that 20% of bold things done.

Do not trust these people. Weasel words and sus physiognomy and body language. Jokes that serve as confessions.

Another example of this technique of answering a fake question to address a real one that can’t be handled - when asked about the future of US employees, Mark remarked that Shell is dedicated to investing in the region. This doesn’t even answer the question. Spending money the US doesn’t mean it was invested in the employees or that they won’t downsize again. Think critically and be very careful with what they say in town halls. It is literally rehearsed with PR.

Have there really been constant layoffs for the past few months? I haven't heard of anybody being cut since much earlier in the year. Yes, a lot of people are mentioning layoffs and we all know more is coming, but so far, it's yet to materialize.

Are we safe this month or is that too much to ask for? Does T usually have layoffs in December?

The rumor is that he was one of Frankservs buddies and got installed as an EVP with next to nothing in experience.

His linkedin confirmed this with really no previous roles listed, which is odd for someone who is an EVP at a major company.

Now I don’t even see him in Workday, and I saw him there as recent as last week…. was he freshly let go as of this week?

I’m surprised he continued for this long after Bisig left… it was always bizzare that he didn’t have any profile pictures anywhere, considering his level with the company.

There is a rumor every month to bump up stock by 10%, all from an Asia analyst. The latest is rumor with Apple, the previous is rumor with AMD. None is real, all fake news.

There are so many rumors about what's next: sell company to Blackrock, split renewables and sell off Indiana or Ohio utilities to Duke, new senior leadership & board, etc. Any of these paths will ensure funding is cut and "they" force more work with less resources. Hey everyone, was just wondering what happened here. Before i was able to check this and get all the latest rumors. Lately, there are weeks with almost no topics and no new comments. Just heard a lot of big news this week and i am checking every day to see if someone will post something but nothing. Regarding the news, have confirm a lot of people were let go this week and there were talks i. nCR Voyix about having a 5 days office as mandatory from 2026, so that decision should have more people just quiting. Not sure at all where we are heading, both Voyix and Atleos.

Any leaders who can confirm a rumor? I heard that there is a requirement that at a certain level (team, department, or other) where a % of associates must be given a 1 rating. No other info and hoping it’s just a rumor. Looking for someone with more info.

Apparently our wonderfully absent tech leader feels that "AI will make our delivery teams obsolete"

We keep hearing that more cuts are coming, and the rumor mill is nonstop at this point. If anyone has anything even remotely reliable to share, please do. It’d help a lot of us figure out what to expect instead of stressing over every random whisper.
