Those who were impacted at the end of January, take the money and run as far away as possible from this place!!! A lot of non member contact employees are going to be doing the work of 3 people once this reorg is complete. Like the agile transformation 3 years ago and the massive failure that was, does anyone think this reorg will be any different.

Why are so many folks quitting?
Wouldn't it be smarter to wait for severance?
Staying doesn't feel like winning
My team is half the size it was last year but the output expected from us is exactly the same. I'm overwhelmed every single day trying to cover the gaps. Getting a package to leave is starting to seem like a better deal than this grind.
Getting laid off with severance is not the worst thing
I know a few folks who were recently fired for ridiculous things. That's been my biggest fear lately. Being laid off at least leaves us with some kind of a safety net. I'm not trying to minimize the impact of what's coming, just saying that sadly, it's no longer the worst possible option.
Looking into voluntary separation
I'd take a buyout in a heartbeat if they offered it to my department. I'm wondering if expressing interest early helps your chances. Does anyone have direct experience with volunteering to be included in the reductions?
Layoffs can bring new opportunities
Layoff sometimes gets you out of bad environment what doesn’t work for you or the employer for various reasons. Regardless whether layoffs will transform Walgreens or not depends on who they keep and who they layoff. Some time it may seem like easiest thing for the decision maker to do is ask the management but what if poor management is what is hindering the company from making progress. Anyway, the best thing to do right now is wait for the changes. Recheck if you see light at the end of the tunnel after they make changes if you are still there. If you don’t like the changes and you did not get picked for layoff with severance package you hoped for then you should look for new job so you can make your life better. With that, the ball is in their court to take proper steps including re-organization, office that works for all, right person in right role etc.
Staying positive and hoping for the best is all you can do. Hope you all have a great weekend now. Don’t pay attention to all the chats and catch a great movie tonight or watch the Superball. But come back brave tomorrow.
I'm good with being laid off
As long as I'm given decent severance, I'll happily leave this place behind. I don't see anything positive in Oracle's future, at least when it comes to employees, so getting out sooner rather than later would be a win in my book. Again, as long as I get paid to leave.
Package Please
Anyone else just wants a package at this point? I rather take the money. Leave this place and search for a new job with a long paid break. I think they purposely don’t pay us enough to make enough to save and leave.
Those waiting to be put out of their misery
Taking into account the company's cash position, have you considered the possibility that you may not even get a severance?
Class Action for change of control severance
One interesting use case for AI is to analyze all merger of equal transactions, notably WPX and Coterra with Devon. ChatGPT seems to think there is a possible claim to be made that Devon employees should be entitled to change of control severance since WPX and Coterra employees were also entitled to COC. I’m not saying Devon employees who are severed should pursue legal action, but they should consider writing their legal documents differently.
Given how much Devon’s presence means to okc you’d think they’d treat their employees better. There’s also probably some TIF clawback provisions okc could go after if someone from the news wanted to run with this.
Did anyone receive the separation agreement for the mid Jan RIF?
I have been waiting for the doc more than 3 weeks since I was informed on the RIF in mid-January. I am not sure why it takes so long to send the standard Docu sign via email on the separation. I just want to make sure I am not the only one. Did anybody receive the separation agreement?
What does the severance package look like?
Has anything changed?
Employment Separation Summary
On July 31, 2025, I was contacted by my manager’s manager via Microsoft Teams for a brief meeting late in the day. During that conversation, I was informed of a workforce reduction and the company followed its standard separation process. Immediately after the call, I returned my company laptop to a colleague and my system access was concluded.
On August 7, 2025, a representative from Human Resources formally reached out to review the details of the separation, benefits, and transition process.
My official last working day with the company was November 19, 2025.
On December 2, 2025, I received my final paycheck, which included payment for all accrued and unused vacation time.
Finally, on February 7, 2026, the company issued my severance payment in accordance with the separation agreement.
What to expect
How does it go down at this company? Who tells you are being let go? Do you get a random call or is a meeting scheduled? What is typical package? How quickly are you asked to leave the office? Suggestions on how to respond when it happens?
Wanting to leave
Anybody know how to get offered the severance package if you were moved to another team? I got moved to a new department without any say in it, and I'd rather have the severance instead.
Rollingon Q1 layoffs next week
Q1 employees got there notice there last day is the 10 of February. Severance packages 1 week of pay for every year. Facility is closing and moving to Fort Worth.
Victra
Recently riffed and took severance. I recall seeing there was a “6 month cooling off period” in our severance details but I have logged into the severance portal and that information is gone. I cannot find anything regarding the details of the 6 month cooling off period. Only thing in my severance document is something stating that if I am re-hired by a Verizon company within my severance period I have to repay back a portion of my severance. Are we allowed to work for victra if we accepted severance or that is considered a Verizon company?
What “JOBS”??
Where are all the “JOBS” that Amazon promised would be available to the 16,000 they laid off this month? Where is all the “SUPPORT” they claimed they would provide us to find alternative jobs within Amazon? Where is the “…..WORLDS BEST EMPLOYER” support Amazon promised us? Why are all the jobs disappearing from the internal jobs site all the sudden?
This horrendous company, albeit they paid me great money and moved my family and I across the country, bait and switched me only to be laid off and unable to afford moving back to where I called home. So here I am, sitting in front of a laptop looking for non-existent jobs from hiring managers that fail to respond to a courtesy slack introducing myself and explaining why I am reaching out (basically that I’m about to be homeless) today. When they do respond back, why are they telling me the role has since been filled when it was JUST posted three days prior?! I am OVER qualified for positions I am applying for and STILL no response.
I have been with Amazon almost a year and a half. The most recent Forte landed me TT, as confirmed by receiving a copy of the letter of recommendation from my L8 supervisor. I have had three different L8 letter of recommendations sent to one specific hiring manager, whom responds back to them stating they will reach out, only to have zero interaction with said “hiring manager”.
I have been assured, multiple times from a reputable source, that I will be offered a role before the date ends, but how am I honestly sleep at night when I have yet to receive any communication. Do not think, for so much as a second, that I am an HV1/2 or even HV3, I have proof I am TT. If someone who is “valuable” to Amazon, why do they allow me to feel like that nasty urinal cake from the men’s room of a sleezy capital hill dive bar?
This is absolutely depressing to say the least, this company has me sitting here contemplating things nobody should ever have to contemplate. I truly feel like I am being buried alive with a plastic stir stick to breath from.
Wish I had someone to help, someone like myself as I help my team find jobs. Ironically, to which I have already landed 3 of my 7 direct reports with roles before their severance date ends. Meanwhile I will likely be unemployed come May since nobody is helping ME find a job. How’s that for “… WORLDS BEST EMPLOYER”?!
I won't complain if I'm let go
I certainly don't wish for anyone to lose their job. I just want my severance so I can be on my way. This place has been toxic and utterly exhausting. There's only so much you can endure before it erodes your well-being. There's a whole life I've been missing out on for years. Don't ever let work monopolize your mind and time. The sacrifices never truly pay off in the end.
Where's Bank salary/benefit expense going?
Between Q3 2025 and Q4 2025, FSB reduced FTE headcounts from 13,221 to 12,824 (379 FTE reduced). However, Salaries and Benefits expense went up from 1.74 billion dollars to 2.32 billion dollars. This does not include bonuses since bonuses are paid out in Q1 2026. Has Bank really spent so much on severances or has Bank hired highly compensated employees while cutting MSRs?
You can look up the numbers by going to FFIEC call report.
Well at least it’s not 4 days
They reduced the lunch cafe hours, and now they expect us to come in even more? Are they trying to get people to quit without having to pay severance packages?
‘‘Twas to leave or not leave that is the question to stay or not to stay that is the question
So assuming there will be an Eisp I am very conflicted as to take it and go or not. They may not offer again our lump may not be an option so many unkowns
Severance package?
For those lurkers who got laid off, what does your severance package look like?
HUGE GCC Layoff in India today
There has been a huge GCC based layoff in India today, laid off employees in India were given decent severance but they were immediately escorted out of the office with security guards.
Do post-mass JE fires get severance?
Do “regular” one off job eliminations get offered severance? Worried superfluous PIPs and bogus fires will start next. Our org says we’re done but it sure doesn’t feel like it
Citi layoffs
I was speaking with an attorney friend that mentioned he just settle 2 labor lawsuits. 1. A President of a banking institution pronounced am employees name incorrectly for 14 years. 2. A SVP gave praise to ab employee for saving a client relationship. 3 months later they were fired for an unrelated incident. They sued that bank! My point in sharing is I was Job Discontinued in Aug. 2025. It is not Feb 2026 and I have yet received my severance. Citi has NOT MET THE TERMS OF THE AGREEMENT!!!! When escalated the date keeps moving with NO EXPLAINATION! Seems like i have a case. Just sad I enjoyed working for Citi for over 20 years. What they have done to me and the other 500 people JD in Aug 2025 is unfair and unjust! To the other 20k employees thay will be eliminated good luck!
Question on RSUs
Now that we see Crown Castle is going to weasel out on the RSUs for the 20% of people they are laying off tomorrow, it made me wonder about this corporate squeeze-play they are doing with RSUs for those in the perimeter.
I’ve been a project manager long enough to know when a project plan has a massive hole in it. Right now, the company is spinning this "retention incentive" like they’re doing us a favor. But look at the math: they are accelerating what we already earned from last year, while completely cutting us out of the 2026 LTI grant.
There are over half of us moving to Zayo or EQT. That means over half the company just got hit with a massive compensation gap while those remaining get the full bag.
For those of us in the field, those RSUs are a huge part of our total pay. If you take that away, it’s basically a constructive pay cut.
A few things that don’t sit right:
- The SEC filings say the company has to operate in the "ordinary course of business" until the deal closes. Skipping a standard annual grant for a couple thousand people doesn’t sound like "ordinary course" to me. It sounds like a budget hack to make the books look better for the buyers.
- Does this trigger "Good Reason" for us having a material reduction in compensation is grounds to walk with full severance.
- We already saw the Byler v. Crown Castle class action pay out for the California crew. Do they really want 2,000 more of us filing a bad faith suit while they’re trying to close a multi-billion dollar deal?
Accelerating my old money doesn't make up for stealing my new money. If Zayo isn't putting a "bridge grant" in our offer letters, Crown Castle is leaving us high and dry.
Time to stop being "Castle Casualties" and start asking questions about our rights, too.
Team Member Checking question
Hello, Does a Team Member Checking stay a Team Member Checking through the 60 day Non working employee period? Is it possible it could stay a Team Member Checking for the other 12 months of severance when the 60 days expires? BTW, Wells Fargo has excellent service for check ordering. I was worried with the Ice and bad weather it may take more than 10-14 days for my checks to arrive. I received them today. Thank you Wells Fargo and your check supplier.
Optum lay offs
Does anyone know how long severance pay is? As a UM nurse we have hardly had any cases come through for all markets for over a month now. They said some members may be moved to the California team but they have not asked anyone to apply for CA license.
This job is ki-ling me
I've hit my limit. The environment is so toxic and the stress is constant. At this point, a layoff with severance sounds like a gift, a paid ticket out of this hellhole. I just need an escape.
Is PIP better than a layoff?
Yes, with layoff you get severance, but with a PIP you get a year of pay and you might even get to stay after it. Most people prefer to be laid off between the two but I think PIP gives us better options.
Recent Layoffs and RRP
For those recently laid off that are bonus eligible, did they give you a bonus for all your 2025 work or offset you not getting one somehow?
Talk severance to me..
Can anyone chime in on how severance work these days? Tenure? Anyone negotiate? Do they pay out PTO? (esp. folks who were never allowed to actually use PTO) Negotiate?
Strauss Borrelli Investigates Westlake Corporation Layoff Notice
A law firm is investigating Westlake Corporation. The investigation relates to a mass layoff in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Westlake informed Louisiana Workforce Development on December 15, 2025. It examines if Westlake failed to give 60 days' notice to 121 employees. Employees affected may receive 60 days of severance pay and benefits.

People getting desperate..
Starting to see all the people that got laid off in October, starting to freak out about not finding something. Severance is most likely gone, and unemployment getting ready to run out.
International Paper Shutting Down Union Gap Facility
International Paper is closing its Union Gap facility. This action will result in 102 job losses. The plant manufactures corrugated boxes and paper goods. A large global financial loss drove these closures. Employees will be offered severance and potential transfers.
