New manager won't get off my back. I'm good at what I do, yet I'm constantly interrupted and second-guessed. They're relentless, especially with me. No clue if this is just bad management or if I'm being set up for cuts. As if I don't have enough stress already.

Nothing going on where I am. Based on the little info trickling in, seems like quiet layoffs this time. Not minimizing how awful it is for anyone impacted, just saying this round feels completely different from the last ones.

It's been scary quiet regarding layoff impact in NYC. Anyone care to share any insight into the matter?

What they didn't tell everyone is that 50% of the Alternate work force is also being let go on Friday 2/28. The real black Friday. eBay hurting and families will be hurting. This is not due to AI, but poor management.

Total insensitivity for those that have been part of the many layoffs. Metrics are almost impossible to meet and performance reviews are calculated so unfairly. Not the company everyone used to know. I guess I thought we would hear something today. If it is decent, I also find that a bit odd given all the layoffs underway this year.

Once certian projects are finished they will lay off the rest of that department and let L T I take over. Congrulations on working yourself out of a job. HR will mostly be replaced by a computer. Get used to talking to a machine.

Middle management will be gutted.

They won't be needed since LTI has their own management in place. Projects will be downsized further and support groups dismantled and/or gone. Operations you aren't safe. They are looking at you. Anyone who is of retirement age will be next. If you have several complaints in your file you will also be gone. There won't be anyone left at cpchem except for a few in corporate.

Estee Lauder is laying off 68 employees at its Blaine facility. These cuts affect the distribution and warehouse operation. The layoffs are permanent and will occur between April and June. You get stuck in your role here with no real path forward. Management doesn't care what you contribute. Strong reviews and extra effort mean nothing when they decide you cost too much. The layoffs come for everyone eventually. Only come here if you have absolutely no other choice.

I know it'll happen over three years, but getting rid of over 3k people is an overkill, in my opinion. This will affect the company in ways the leadership apparently is incapable of envisioning. I'm just wondering what'll happen when they realize that institutional knowledge is key in our work.

I expected store closings, but I have to admit I was hoping corporate would be spared. Still, with the state of Pap Johns right now, it shouldn't be surprising to anybody. I'm just worried that this might be the start of something much bigger. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

State Farm just announced it made $24 Billion dollars last year and is going to pay $5 Billion in dividends. Most in history! State Farm is a Mutual Company and should never ever ever never make that much money. They have the best actuaries and investment people and know exactly what they are doing.
