I got notified yesterday...

should i talk to a lawyer first or just sign the papers??

what kind of lawyer do i even need for this.

How do i know if what they offer is fair or if theyre trynna lowball me. can i get more money or benefits if i wait or negoiate.

what do i ask the lawyer when i talk to them??????????????

stream of thought: what happens if i already signed but change my mind. is it better to sign fast or wait a few days. do i have to pay the lawyer right away or only if i win something. how much do lawyers like this usually cost?????

Also.... what should i not say or do right now so i dont mess this up.

For those of us impacted this week, does Target have any track record of negotiating severance?

A friend from Meta suggested that if I’m impacted, I should tell them I won’t sign anything until I’ve reviewed the contract with a lawyer. Has anyone actually done that and been able to negotiate anything? Any advice if we end up in that situation?

is there any negotiating with HR with a better severance with company standard. This would be probably related to older workers since finding another position will be difficult if not impossible

I work at U.S. Bank right now and got offered a new internal position. questions are:

• How successful have fellow internal folks been at negotiating salary? Any tips on how to maximize salary without going overboard?
• Has anyone been able to negotiate their vacation package (e.g., 2 weeks to 3 weeks) or any other benefits?
• any other areas that other internal folks have been successful at negotiating?

For context, I was offered around $65K which I feel is low and $80-85K is more in line with industry and based on my skills. Thanks for any advice you might all have.

Hearing conflicting things. So if I make a lateral move (same pay grade) could I move in the range and get a raise. I only get the standard 2% raise per year and am below the midpoint by now. I just want to negotiate to be at mid is this impossible???

UPS is wrong in negotiating buyouts without the Teamsters. Why they would even try this is shocking. The timing could not be worse with tariff and stock questions.
