office politics

I’m being increasingly iced out by an SVP — removed from key business calls, not receiving responses, and no longer being included in important projects. Visibility and opportunities now appear limited to a small group who closely follow directives and have direct access to the SVP.

The Game

So far, I participated in two calls today. There were multiple presenters/speakers on each call. None of which were RTO including the majority of attendees for these two calls. I know these individuals & I am very familiar with the BU's. This RTO business sure is interesting. Lol

WFH today but not any other time? Make the hypocrisy make sense.

“If your job allows it, we encourage you to work from home”

So they realize that there’s onsite workforce who needs to be present and customer facing workforce who needs to be present.

But everyone else, we realize your job allows you to work from home just as effectively … but go in the office 5 days and play pretend “collaboration” on your teams calls, chats, and emails so we can prop up Blackrock and vanguards corporate real estate portfolio so they don’t yell at John.

This place is a joke. The hypocrisy is sickening.

Linkedin BS

Pure sick looking at LinkedIn and everyone's promotions nearly all VP, Senior VP, Directors and Senior Directors. Not saying theyre not deserved I'm sure some of them are, but when you sit in a location closing later this year, knowing that other locations in the UK and Ireland closing, seeing people boasting (the same people who work from some of these locations but know their jobs are safe) its just disgusting.

Global Celebration

Alfonso Ribeiro was hired to host the event yesterday. Did some research and he gets $75k-$150k per appearance. What a great way to sp-t in the faces of those recently RIFd

Anyone else catch the hot mic at the end? Sounded like Stephanie said “now on to the important people” to the room she was sitting in. How disgusting and of course it is edited out of the final video.

I been working at Ford about a year now. Can people tell me how I can apply to other internal Ford jobs?

My goal is to find another Ford job where I am not required to produce any kind of work.
I just want to come into work late and leave early. During the day I want to be left alone and take hour walks around the building several times day.

So, I'd like to know what other internal Ford jobs I can apply too that meet my requirements of having to produce no tangible work.

Cosmetic hours being used for the backend of Belk

Has anyone noticed the cosmetic hours that are partially paid for from Clinique and Estee Lauder being used for the backend of the store? They will schedule someone without letting them know usually they can't get in to the reflexes so it's a no show then those hours are diverted to other areas anyone eles notice this in other Belk stores? It's been reported but nobody does anything to them.

SPTO in quarterly increments?

In my time with the company, the SPTO bid has always been around November. We could request our scheduled time off for the whole 12 months of the upcoming New Year. We work in a site that is closing. They are only allowing us to schedule in quarterly increments. So far we've only been able to schedule through the end of March. Is this an indication the site we work in is closing this year in 2026? We are sorry to ask here, but nobody talks about it at work.

Colocation BS is back, new HR mandate

It seems the new HR is back with the hammer for colocation.

Contractors, who were remote hired are supposed to be in office during connect week but the full timers in different region are told their position is moved to different region.

You can't be serious!!!! This is an absolute pathetic joke!!!

When Will Do-Nothing Software Engineering Managers will be laid off???

When will software engineering managers especially in multi-family finally be let go? Fannie can survive without them, and may even thrive. Too many managers lack technical expertise and real credibility. It’s hard to understand how they were hired in the first place? Instead of leading, they create toxic work environments, master office politics and bureaucracy to confuse hardworking engineers, and show blatant favoritism toward their loyalists. Their contributions rarely go beyond empty buzzwords. They constantly talk about AI, yet demonstrate little real to no understanding of it.
Why does Fannie need these hypocrites?

Check OUTLOOK Calendar for future events.

I checked Outlook instead of worday and I literally have no T-Mobile scheduled events for the next few months, but when I go back, I see events on every single month like the stupid a-s powwow, and the all hand meetings. none of that sh-t is scheduled in my Outlook calendar for the next few months. I think this means I’m gonna get laid off. Thoughts? I am regular non loyalty care rep. PLEASE LIST IF YOU ARE LOYALTY OR NON-LOYALTY CARE REP WHEN REPORTING IF YOU see future calendar events.

ONHD days numbered

Funding that was bragged about before shutdown is now gone

Huge Money being spent in CZ

Senior leadership jumping to other sites

No news on what were doing after news of funding lost. Iguess it takes a while to identify the bare minimum personnel to keep the lights on long enough for CZ to take over.

Message from the CEO

To: My Valued Cost-Centers (Employees),

Happy New Year! As I sit here in my climate-controlled, triple-glazed corner suite, watching the sunrise over the yacht club, I couldn't help but feel a fleeting sense of warmth—though that may have just been the heated massage function on my Italian leather chair.

2026 is the year of Synergy, Sacrifice, and Shareholder Supremacy.

The Triumph of the Office Return
I want to personally congratulate those of you who have successfully navigated the commute to join us in the office at least 3 days a week. Seeing you all hunched over your laptops, participating in Teams meetings with the person sitting three feet away, truly warms my heart. It’s that "water cooler magic" we talked about—even if the water cooler was removed to make room for another row of unassigned lockers.

I’m aware that some of you have complained about the Hot-Desking Lottery. Look at it as a daily adventure! Will you find a desk with a working monitor today? Or will you spend your morning playing "musical chairs" with a tangled nest of broken HDMI cables? If you find yourself working from the broom closet again, just remember: it’s not a "broom closet," it’s a Cozy Collaboration Pod™.

Efficiency: Our North Star
While you are busy creating value for our institutional investors, I have been busy ideating. To ensure we are squeezing every drop of "lemonade" out of our human capital, I am thrilled to announce several Employee Wellness & Productivity Initiatives for Q1:
Bio-Break Benchmarking: We’ve noticed a slight dip in keystrokes during mid-morning. To help you stay on track, we are installing "Smart-Flush" sensors. If a restroom visit exceeds the mandated 120-second "Standard Relief Window," an automated alert will be sent to your manager to discuss your time-management skills.

The "Big Wael" Policy: In the spirit of your favorite office slang, we’re aiming for maximum efficiency in all... movements. If you’re going to "take a Big Wael," please ensure you’ve pre-filed a "Functional Downtime" request. We wouldn't want your lack of productivity to be as disappointing as a stagnant stock price.

Oxygen Optimization: Studies show that humans exhale carbon dioxide, which is bad for the environment (and our ESG score). We are considering a "Breath-Per-Minute" tax to encourage calm, shallow, and highly efficient respiration while at your desks.

Vertical Desking: Why sit or stand when you can lean? We are replacing chairs with 75-degree padded planks to ensure no one gets too comfortable. Comfort is the enemy of the 52-week high.

Looking Ahead
Remember, every time you struggle to find a functional mouse or spend 45 minutes looking for a stapler, a shareholder somewhere gets their wings (or a slightly larger dividend). You aren't just "employees"; you are the fuel we burn to reach the moon.

Now, stop reading this and get back to your Teams call. I can see your "Active" status flickering from here.

In Solidarity (With the Board),
The CEO

My manager is unbearable

There are so many enablers on my team and so much ridiculous office politics that bad behavior seems encouraged. Previous managers weren’t much better, and overall competence has been lacking. How these people keep getting hired and promoted is beyond me. You’d think any corporation would prefer managers who boost performance, not ones who infest teams with toxicity and waste.
